1.Infections in systemic lupus erythematosus:risk factors, clinical characteristics and early diagnosis
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(02):-
Infectious diseases have emerged as one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)patients,so early diagnosis of infectious complication in SLE patients is absolutely beneficial for patients' prognosis.C-reactive protein(CRP)and Procalcitonin(PCT)can help to differentiate infections with active SLE in SLE patients.Serum KL-6 can help to distinguish pulmonary involvement of SLE from infections in SLE patient. The most common pathogens for infection in SLE patients are bacteria, but more attention should be paid to viral and fungal infections, which have been on a rise recently.

Objective To investigate the effect of dexmedetomidine on the outcome of rats with acute lung injury following blunt chest trauma.Method Forty male SD rats weighing 250~300 g were randomly (random number)divided into 5 groups(n=8 each),namely, group C(normal),group D(normal plus dexmedetomidine),group T(trauma),group TD(trauma plus dexmedetomidine),group TDY(trauma plus dexmedetomidine plus yohimbine).Au rats were sacrificed by using exsanguination from arteria femoralis 6 hours later. The TNF-α and IL-1β levels in plasma were examined by using ELISA.Lung wet/dry(W/D)weight and the percentage of neutrophil in leucocytes in bronehoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)of rats were detected.HE staining was performed to observe the injury of lung tissue under microscope. Results There was significant lung injury after blunt chest trauma. The serum concentrations of TNF-α and IL-1β,PMN%and lung wet/dry(W/D)weight were significantly higher in traumatic group(P<0.05,P<0.01).chest trauma, but this protective effect of dexmedetomidine could be blocked by yohimbine,at least in part, via the inhibition of α2-adrenergie receptor. Conclusions Dexmedetomidine has a certain protective effect on acute traumatic acute lung injury in rats.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2021;40(3):393-396
G protein-coupled estrogen receptor(GPER), as a newly discovered estrogen membrane protein-coupled receptor, has attracted much attention in endocrine metabolism research in recent years.Abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism and imbalance of inflammatory response mediated by GPER is one of the pathogenesis mechanisms of various endocrine and metabolic diseases.GPER is expected to become a new drug target for the treatment of coronary atherosclerosis, obesity and diabetes. This article briefly reviews the progress of GPER-mediated estrogen signaling pathway in terms of glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism and inflammation.

Clinical Medicine of China 2015;31(11):1000-1003
Objective To discuss the major cardiovascular disease(CVD) risk factors and volume load of women. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted on adult women who came to our hospital for health examination. The clinical data included age, past medical history, smoking history, drinking history, body measurements (height, body weight, blood pressure, etc.), and blood serum creatinine, hemoglobin, blood glucose, blood lipid and other biochemical indicators were detected.Using the human body composition analyzer, the extracellular fluid (ECW), intracellular fluid (ICW), total water(TBW), and ECW/TBW ratio (E/T) were used to evaluate the capacity of the cells.Total body water(TBWwatson) was Calculated according to Watson formula. The clustering of four major CVD risk factors (defined as two or more of the following: hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and overweight) and their association with volume load were investigated.Volume load was evaluated by bioelectrical impedance analysis.Hypovolaemia was defined as extracellular water/total body water (ECW/TBW) at and under the 10 percentile for the normal population.Logistic regression model was use to explore the relationship between capacity status and risk factors of CVD.Results A total of 2 433 women (mean age (37.4±7.3) years old) were enrolled in the study, 14.7% of them had clustering of CVD risk factors.Hypovolaemia in clustering group was statistically higher than either in the single or in the none risk factor group, which was 18.2%, 11.9%, 6.7%, respectively (x2 =45.4, P<0.001).After adjusted for potential confounders (including age, hemoglobin, serum uric acid, estimating glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), hypovolaemia was associated with clustering of CVD risk factors, with an OR of 2.76 (95% CI 1.93-3.95).Conclusion Hypovolaemia is associated with clustering of major CVD risk factors in women, which further confirms the importance of modifying lifestyle to reduce the burden of CVD.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1996;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the feasibility of endothelial reconstruction in the injuried arterial wall by autologous endothelial cells transplantation. Methods New Zealand white rabbits (n=20) were subjected to bilateral iliofemoral artery balloon injury, Cultured autologous venous endothelial cells were immediately transplanted by balloon catheter into one vessel, whereas the contralateral artery received the medium only. In 10 rabbits, vessels were harvested 4 hours and 4 days after transplantation for analysis of endothelial coverage by scanning electron microscope (SEM); In 5 rabbits, the cultured endothelial cells were labeled with a fluorescent tracer before their introduction into the injured vessel, and 4 days after transplantation, vessels were harvested to obtain fluorescent imaging of the seeded endothelial cells; Another 5 rabbits were sacrificed 4 days after transplantation for Evans blue staining. Results Four hours after the operation, SEM demostrated that the endothelial layer in control vessels were denuded completely, whereas some round endothelial cells had adhered into the aterial wall in cell transplantation group; four days after cell transplantation, the transplanted cells had attached and spread in the injuried aterial wall by SEM, a number of fluorescent labeling endothelial cells were observed in the endothelial denuded aterial wall, the vessels that received the medium only were stained nearly completely by Evans blue, whereas in those vessels that received cell transplantation, about 60% area were not stained. Conclusion Autologus endothelial cells can be effectively transplanted into the injuried arterial wall by balloon catheter.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1993;0(03):-
Objective To study the effect of endothelial progenitor cells mobilization on vascular endothelial repair after carotid artery injury in rats. Methods The rat balloon-injured carotid model was established. In the control group:saline was administrated intragastrically;the simvastatin group:simvastatin 10 mg/(kg?d)was administrated intragastrically and in the simvastatin+ granulocyte colony stimulating factor(G-CSF)group:G-CSF 100 ?g/(kg?d)was intraperitoneally injected togother with intragastrical simvastatin from 1 week before operation to 2 weeks after operation. The repair rate of injuried endothelium,neointima/media area ratio(IA/MA),the positive cell index of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)and nitric oxide(NO)release in peripheral blood were detected. In addition, the ratio of CD34+VEGFR2+ double positive expression cell was detected by fluorescence activated cell sorter(FACS),which indicated the level of EPCs.Results The repair rate of injured endothelium was increased(12.3%)in the simvastatin group compared with the control group;IA/MA was reduced 18.4%;NO release was increased 33.9% and the positive cell index of PCNA was reduced 5.7%.These data were 38.2%,50.3%,33.9% and 37.2% respectively in simvastatin+G-CSF group.Compared with the control group, the ratio of CD34+VEGFR2+ double positive expression cell was increased 87.6% in peripheral blood, and it increasd 343.4% in simvastatin+G-CSF group. Conclusion The results suggest the possibility that simvastatin may promote the EPCs from bone marrow to peripheral blood,so it can improve the effect of repair rate of injured endothelium and inhibit neointimal hyperplasia. In addition,G-CSF can enhance the effect of simvastatin on the injured endothelium and neointima hyperplasia.
