The pharmacokineties of intravitreally injected tetrandrine was monitered by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). After intravitreal injection of tetrandrine in rabbits' eyes, aqueous humor and vitreous were drawn at different times for determination. The drug concentration in the aqueus humor and vitreous was measured by HPLC. The results showed that the concentration-time curves of tetr-andrinc in the vitreous fitted in with a two-compar-tment open model with half-life periods of 1.02 hour(?) and 16.62 hour (?) respectively. The drug concentration in aqueous humor was low, with a peak value of 6.73?g/ml at two hour.

The studies on the extract processes of Radix Aucklandiae and Rhizoma Coptidis, and the preparation method for Xianglian Drop Pills have been carried out. The preparation method included the adsorption of volatile oil of Radix Aucklandiae with the extract mixture of Radix Aucklandiae and Rhizoma Coptidis. Water in adequate amount was added into the above mixture, The mixture was grinded into homogeneous pasty, then added with melted PEG 4000. After being mixed well on water bath the mixed melt was poured into the home-made drop pill apparatus(at 90℃) preheated, dropped into dimethyl silicone at rate of 24 drops/min through the drop head with internal apeture for 45mm and external apeture for 6. 1mm、and cooled well. The drop pills were obtai ned by removal of dimethylsilicone. Every examination of prepared drop pills coincided with the requests in general notice of drop pills in Pharmacopoeia of the Republic of China(1990). The in vitro antibacterial test showed that Xianglian Drop Pills had the same antibiotic effect as Xianglian Pills did.

Objective To study the application of ESWL for ureteral stones in acute colic and with impairment of renal function. Methods From Mar.1987 to Sep.2000,emergent ESWL was performed for 168 cases of ureteral stone in acute colic and with impaired renal function on IVU (nonvisualization on IVU). Results All the patients got well after ESWL.104 patients less than 60 with a history of renal colic within 1 month have been followed up for 1 year.The renal function has reco vered and the urinary tract became visualized on IVU. Conclusions Ureteral stone may induce acute injury to the kidney but the harm is temporary and reversible when the ureteral stone is cured by ESWL on time.

Objective To investigate the correlation between lumbar curvature and lumbar intervertebral disc herniation.Methods 160 cases of young and mid-aged lumbar disc herniation patients were collected.All patients were divided into two groups accord-ing to the curvature.The age,sex,course of disease,occupation and MRI manifestations were recorded.Also,the recurrence and the arch top distance were recorded in 6 months after treatment.Results The age,sex,course of disease were similar between the two groups.70% of the patients in curvature straighten group were sitting or standing for long time in life,while in the other group more people were engaged in traditional manual work(P<0.05).The arch top distance increased in the curvature straighten group when rechecked(P<0.05).There were more patients with L4/L5 segment intervertebral disc herniation in the curvature straighten group,while more patients with L5/S1 segment intervertebral disc herniation in the other group(P<0.001).The recurrence rate was higher in the curvature straighten group,and the arch top distance was less in the patients with recurrence in both groups(P<0.05).Conclusion The patients with curvature straightening have a higher rate of recurrence and intervertebral disc herniation in L4/L5 segment.The recovery and reconstruction of the balance of the lumbar spine biomechanics is beneficial to the patients’cura-tive effect and functional recovery.

Objective To discuss the effects of bacteria lysates (OM-85BV),1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D3 [1,25-(OH)2-VitD3],two immune regulators on airway inflammation in asthmatic mice models,and its pathways of action on airway inflammation were discussed.Methods Forty male BALB/c mice graded 4-6 weeks were randomly divided into 5 groups.Group A:control group;group B:asthmatic model group;group C:1,25-(OH)2-VitD3 group;group D:OM-85BV group;group E:combination group.On days 0 to 14,mice in C,D and E groups were given 1,25-(OH)2-VitD3,OM-85BV and 1,25-(OH)2-VitD3 + OM-85 BV,and mice in A,B groups were given 9 g/L saline instead.On days 15,22 and 29,mice in B,C,D,E groups were intraperitoneally with injection of ovalbumin(OVA)-aluminum hydroxide [Al(OH)3].Group A were given 9 g/L saline instead.On days 36 to 40,mice of B,C,D,E groups were given an aerosol challenge of 10 g/L OVA for 0.5 h once a day.Mice in the control group were given the same amount of 9 g/L saline.Animals were sacrificed 24 hours after the final inhalational challenge,and for the recovered bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) of the left lung was used for differential inflammatory cell counts and for detecting the level of inflammatory cytokine interleukin-17 (IL-17).Right lung samples were used for pathological investigation and detecting the expression of the IL-17 mRNA and RORγt mRNA by real time-PCR.Results Compared with the control group,the asthma models expressed more serious expression in bronchospasm contraction,hyperplasia disorders of bronchial epithelial cells,infiltration of inflammatory cells in lung,and so on.Compared with the control group,the total number of inflammatory cells counts[(104.04 ±5.51) 107/L vs (22.79 ± 1.91) 107/L] and eosinophils proportion [(37.63 ± 3.64) ％ vs (2.37 ± 1.55) ％] in BALF in group B were significantly increased (all P ＜ 0.05),the levels of IL-17 [(85.13 ± 5.77) 103 pg/L vs (47.44 ± 4.57) 103 pg/L] in BALF were significantly higher(P ＜ 0.05),the relative expressions of IL-17 mRNA (13.68 ± 1.59 vs 1.00 ± 0.00) and RORγt mRNA (4.53 ± 0.51 vs 1.00 ± 0.00) in lung were higher,which had a statistical significance (all P ＜ 0.05).The situations of group C,D,E were obviously improved compared with group B,and those of group D were improved remarkably.Conclusions Oral OM-85BV and 1,25-(OH)2-VitD3 intervention could relieve the airway inflammation of asthmatic mice models,and its effect can be remarkable by oral OM-85BV.The two immune regulators could relieve the degree of airway inflammation on asthmatic mice models by reducing the expression of Th17 cells differentiation.Therefore the two immune regulators could be the choices for preventing the happening and the development of the asthmatic airway inflammation.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of anticancer activities of the extracts of prescription 921. Methods The inhibitory effects of the extracts of prescription 921 on DNA and RNA biosyntheses in cultured prostate PC-3M were investigated with 3H-TdR or 3H-UR incorporation. Flowcytometry was applied to analyze the regulating cell cycle of the extracts of prescription 921. The expression of cell cycle related factors CyclinA, CyclinB, p21 and p27 were detected by Western-blot. Results The extracts of prescription 921 showed inhibitory effect on DNA biosyntheses. The cells of PC-3M were arrested in S-phage when treated with the extracts for 72 h. The expression level of CyclinA was down-regulated while expression of CyclinB, p21 and p27 was not altered. Conclusion The extracts of prescription of 921 play its anticancer activities by inhibiting DNA biosyntheses and arresting the cells in S-phage by down-regulating the expression of Cyclin A.

Objective To evaluate clinical efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for treating patients with double J (DJ) stent extubation difficulties.Methods A retrospective analysis were conducted from July 1999 to December 2013,total 30 cases (18 male and 12 female) were accepted the ESWL therapy for treating the DJ extubation difficult due to the stone scales surface.The average age in those patients was 46 years (range 24 to 83 years).The average duration of DJ stents indwelling was 8.3 months (range 1.5 to 36.0 months).There were 10 cases with single stone and 20 cases with multiple stones.The distribution of stone location included left kidney in 14 cases,right kidney in 6 cases,left ureter in 3 cases and right ureter in 7 cases.The ureteral stone scales around the DJ stent showed tubular distribution.The distribution of imaging characteristic included kidney stones around the DJ stent joint in 20 cases and surface coarse in 10 cases.The diameter of the stone ranged from 0.7 to 3.2 cm (mean 1.8 cm).All the 30 cases were treated by ESWL with the 2 000-3 300 times frequency (mean 2 800 times).Treatment voltage was 4-8 KV.Results Gravel time ranged from 40 to 70 min (mean 45 min).No intraoperative and postoperative complications occurred.Their DJ stents were easily extubated immediately after ESWL.One week after ESWL,all the patients reported the flushing of the stone.Conclusion ESWL is a simple,convenient and efficacy way to solve the DJ stent extubation difficulties due to the scales surface.

Objective To explore the clinical effect of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for the treatment of horseshoe kidney stones.Methods A total of 42 cases of horseshoe kidney stones from March 1987 to January 2015 were enrolled.Among them,33 cases were male and 9 cases were female.Their age range was 19 to 71 years,average age was 42 years old.25 cases got left renal pelvis stone,17 cases were on the right renal pelvis side.The diameter range of stone was 0.4-3.7 cm,the average was 1.8cm.ESWL was applied to treat whole group.The prone position was used to removing calculus.The frequency of treatment was 2000-2700 times,with an average of 2500 times;the treatment voltage was 4-7KV.The gravel time of the treatment was 30-45min,the average was 35min.Results One time for ESWL was 29 cases,two times for ESWL was 8 cases,three times for ESWL was 3 cases,four times for ESWL was 2 cases.The first discharge stones time was 3 to 10 days.There was no special discomfort after operation.40 cases got hematuria after operation,which occurred in 1 to 3 days after ESWL Renal colic was in 7 cases which happened on 1-3 days after ESWL.Condusions Calculi in horseshoe kidney may be treated by ESWL.It is a safe and simple operation.The prone position may bring satisfactory effect.

Objective To compare the efficacy of quadratus femoris muscle pedicle bone flap transplantation combined with hollow compression screw fixation versus hollow compression screw fixation in the repair of femoral neck fracture for young and middle-aged patients.Methods Case-controll studies comaring the quadratus femoris muscle pedicle bone flap transplantation with hollow compression screw fixation in the repair of femoral neck fracture were retrieved from CNKI,Chinese Biomedical Database,Wanfang Data and manually (from January,2005 to December,2014).Methodological quality of the trials was critically assessed,and relevant data were extracted.Statidtical software Revman 5.0 was used for data-analysis.Results Eight articles were included in the meta-analysis.The results showed that,compared the efficacy of quadratus femoris muscle pedicle bone flap transplantation combined with hollow compression screw fixation with hollow compression screw fixation,there were statidtical significance in the rate of fracture healing [OR =5.43,95％CI(2.89,10.20),P ＜ 0.05],the rate of good function of hip joint [OR =5.12,95％ CI(3.21,8.17),P ＜ 0.05],the rate of femoral head necrosis [OR =4.21,95％CI(2.02,8.76),P ＜ 0.05],the time of fracture healing [WMD =-46.85,95％CI(-65.13,-28.56),P ＜ 0.05].Conclusion The transplantation of quadratus femoris muscle pedicle bone flap combined with hollow compression screw fixation is superior to the hollow compression screw fixation in the repair of femoral neck fracture for young and middle-aged patients in regards to the rate of fracture healing,the rate of good function of hip joint,the rate of femoral head necrosis,the time of fracture healing.

Objective To investigate the chemical constituents of red algae Hypnea charoides. MethodsThe constituents were isolated by column chromatography and their structures were elucidated by chemical properties and spectroscopic analyses. Results Three compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as 3, 6-dimethyl-8-(4-methyleneheptan-3-yloxy) octane-1-amine (Ⅰ), palmitate-K (Ⅱ), and (2R, 1′S, 2′S, 3′R)-N-(1′-hydroxymethyl-2′, 3′-dihydroxy-heptadecenyl)-2-hydroxy-12, 13-methylene-tetracosanamide (Ⅲ). Conclusion Compounds Ⅰ and Ⅲ are new compounds named as charoidesine and charoidesamide.
