1.A preliminary study of leucine-enkephalin and its effect in the uterus
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
By means of radioimmunoassay, leucine-enkephalin (L-ENK) in the uteri of women and rats was studied and its responses to ovarian steroids were observed. The histological localization of L-ENK and the influence of naloxone (NAL) on estrogen regulation of the rat uterus in terms of cAMP and eGMP determination were also studied. Results of the study demonstrated that presence of L-ENK like substance in the uteri of women and rats, and the concentrations varied in the various phases of the sexual cycle. indicating a positive correlation with levels of estrogen in the body. L-ENK was found localized in the interstetial cells of the human endometrium, and in the rat uterus. Effect of extrogen on nucleotide was influenced by NAL. The findings suggested that L-ENK may play an important role on physiologic function of utetus.

Objective To explore the safety and feasibility of improved jejunostomy in operation for patients with esophageal carcinoma. Methods All these 214 patients underwent resections of esophageal carcinoma and jejunostomy were divided into 2 groups,130 patients in routine group and 84 patients in improved group.A 1.5 to 2.0 centimeter in width pedicled omentum were left during dissociating the stomach for patients of improved group.Double purse-string suture were left on the prepared jejunostomy.Pedicled omentum was placed around jejunum tube which was fixed by double suture to peritoneum. Then the operating time, discharging time, leakage, infections, tube shedding and intestinal obstruction were analysed. Results All patients in both groups were healed. There's a statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in operating time and intestinal obstruction between the improved group and the routine group. There isn't a statistically difference(P>0.05)in discharging time, leakage, infections and tube shedding. Conclusion Improved jejunostomy can reduce the operating time, and it's a safe and feasible way in jejunum tube placement.

AIM: To study the effects of IL-6 and IL-1? on the blood polymorphonuclear-neutrophils(PMN) apoptosis postburn. METHODS: Wistar rats inflicted by 30% total body surface area (TBSA) Ⅲ degree scalding were employed as the model. PMN were isolated by density gradient centrifugation using Percoll-hypaque and labeled with TdT-mediated and dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) and analyzed by flow cytometric analysis. The intracellular caspase-3 activation and the serum levels of IL-6 and IL-1? were analyzed by fluorometric immunosorbent enzyme assay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, respectively. RESULTS: The serum IL-6 levels (?g/L) in groups of 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 h postburn (9 14?1 16, 12 49?1 14, 3 01?0 75, 1 41?0 28 and 1 56?0 43 in turn) and IL-1? (ng/L) in groups of 3, 6, 12 h postburn (90 08?8 39, 320 93?14 48 and 47 84?5 19) were much higher than IL-6 (0 24?0 07) and IL-1? (27 65?4 86) in control group ( P

Objective To put forward a design of the software of brainwave therapeutic apparatus based on the MCU. Methods Based on principle of electroencephalogram music treatment, several sound synthesis techniques were analyzed and contrasted. A simple and easily-realized one was selected and analyzed in detail. Finally, the output of brainwave therapeutic apparatus was tested and errors were analyzed. Results The selected scheme can effectively generate brainwave music. Conclusion According to the scheme, a low-cost and reliable brainwave therapeutic apparatus can be made by using the MCU.

Objective Summarize the experience of single port video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (SPVATS).Evaluate the value of SPVATS for thoracic diseases. Methods 32 patients underwent SPVATS from March 2011 to May 2011,including 28 males and4 females, with an average age of (26.5 ±9.2) years (ranged 18-72 years). There were twenty-seven cases of spontaneous pneumothorax ( including 2 cases of single stage bilateral surgery),three cases of unknown pleural effusion, one case of bilateral pulmonary nodules, and one case of pulmonary metastasis tumor. Results All procedures were successfully accomplished without conversion to conventional multi-port VATS or open approach. There was no major complication or operative death. All procedures were using self-developed specialized surgical instruments and two-incision joint protection. The procedures inluded resection of lung bullae in 27 cases, purulent drainage fiber stripping pleural lavage in 3,parietal pleural biopsy in 1,and pulmonary wedge resection in 1.The operating time ranged from (22.0 ± 9.5 ) min.The average intraoperative blood loss was ( 14.5 ± 8.8 )ml.The mean chest tube duration was (3.1 ± 0.6 ) days. The average postoperative hospital stay was (6.8 ± 1.6 ) days. Conclusion SPVATS is a new approach for treatment of thoracic diseases. This technique is preferred as a minimally invasive and cosmetic procedure with decreased operative time, quickened postoperative recovery, few complications, and satisfactory short-term outcome.

Objective To evaluate diagnostic values of multi-tumor markers protein biochip detective system for lung cancer. Methods Patients with lung cancer group(78 cases),benign pulmonary diseases group (118 cases) and control group (68 cases) were enrolled.Twelve tumor markers in serum (AFP,CEA,NSE,CA125,CA153,CA242,CA199,PSA,f-PSA,FER,?-HCG and HGH) were measured by the multi-tumor markers protein biochip detective system. Result The serum levels of CEA,CA125,Fer and CA242 in the lung cancer group were much higher than those of the other two groups. There were no significant differences of serum levels and positive rates of other tumor markers among three groups. The sensitivity of CEA,CA125,Fer and CA242 was 41.0%,35.9%,26.9% and 17.9% respectively, the specificity 89.8%,86.0%,86.6% and 95.7% respectively。 Conclusions The multi-tumor markers protein biochip detective system has diagnostic values in lung cancer. When more than three markers are positive simultaneously, the sensitivity was 24.4%,and the specificity was 96.8%.The result could help to detect the character of tumor.

Objective To investigate the differences of the gap junctional communication among fibroblasts derived from pathological scars and normal skin. Methods Samples of hypertrophic scars, keloid and normal skin six, two of each, were collected. The means of cell culture was used to investigate gap junctional communication of the fibroblasts derived from these samples by adherent cell analysis and sorting interactive laser cytometer(ACAS 570). Results Fibroblasts derived from normal skin showed normal gap junction; gap junctional communication was restrained in fibroblasts derived from hypertrophic scars and the intercellular communication was completely obstructed in fibroblasts derived from keloids. Conclusion The obstruction of intercellular communication may play an important role in the pathogenesis of excessive and invasive growth of fibroblasts derived from keloid.
