1.Chemotherapy in osteosarcoma
China Oncology 2010;20(2):81-85
Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant tumor that develops in bone. Since chemotherapy was introduced into the multi-modality treatment regimen for high-grade osteosarcoma, its prognosis has been impressively improved; about two-thirds of all patients could achieve long-term survival. This review summarized the history of chemotherapy for osteosarcoma and current chemotherapeutic treatment strategies for classical osteosarcoma. The review also emphasized the necessity that the patients should be treated in specialized centers and prospective, multi-institutional trials are needed.

Journal of Environment and Health 2000;17(6):351-354
[Objective]To understand the changes of children's blood lead levels and intelligence quotient (IQ) andthe effects of automobile exhaust on the prevelance rates of respiratory symptoms of children. [Methods] 151 pupilsof Y primary school in urban area were selected as exposure group, 160 pupils of Z primary school in Pudong districtwere selected as control group. The health questionaire survey and health examination were carried out amongpupils. The peripheral blood lead levels of the forth finger were determined. The IQ was determined by combinedRaven's Test. The data were statistically analzed by EPI Info and SAS statistic softwares. [Results] Significant differ-ences of blood lead levels were observed between exposure group and control group. The blood lead levels (x) negatively correlated with children's IQ (y) (y= 120. 11--0. 129x) . The prevelance rates of sore and uncomfortable feelings and foreign body sensation in throat and cough of exposure group were significantly higher than those in controlgroup. The ORs of corresponding symptoms were 1.71, 2, 64 and 2. 92 respectively. The multiple linear regressionanalysis showed that exposure to automobile exhaust and the distances from the residential region to street with heavytraffic were the main factors affecting the children's peripheral blood lead levels and the prevelance of respiratorysymptoms. [Conclusion] Further control of the emission of automobile exhaust and reasonable planning of location ofresidential areas were the main measures to control the prevelance of lead poisoning and its related diseases of children.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2011;34(3):24-27
Objective To explore the expression of Aurora-A in breast carcinoma and the relationship with breast carcinoma treatment efficacy of paclitaxel. Methods The expression of Aurora-A were tested by immunohistochemical SP method in 67 cases of breast carcinoma. The relationship of Aurora-A with treatment efficacy of paclitaxel was analysed. Results The expression rate of Aurora-A was 73.13%(49/67)in breast carcinoma. The treatment effective rate of breast carcinoma was 77.78%(14/18) and the rate of nonresponder was 11.11%(2/18) in negative expression of Aurora-A;but the treatment effective rate was 34.69%(17/49) and the rate of nonresponder was 34.69%(17/49) in positive expression of Aurora-A. There were obvious correlations between expression of Aurora-A and treatment efficacy of paclitaxel. Statistical significance could be found between them (P = 0.013 ). Conclusion There is manifest correlation between the high expression of Aurora-A and resistance of paclitaxel in breast carcinoma.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2005;9(42):174-175
BACKGROUND:The long-term contraction of skeletal muscle can lead to the decrease of resting potential, affect its contraction, and result in the occurrence of fatigue. Whether acupuncture and injury-free magnetic lifting needle are effective on the recovery of resting potential? OBJECTIVE: To observe and compare the influence on the recovery of resting potential of skeletal muscle by taking acupuncture and magnetic needle as the recovery means.DESIGN: A controlled study.SETTINGS: College of Physical Education, Shanxi Normal University;Binzhou College of Shandong Province.MATERIALS: Thirty experimental toads, which were provided by Beijing University of Physical Education, were randomly divided into acupuncture group (n=10), magnetic needle group (n=10), magnetic needle+pressing group (n=10). Left and right semitendinosus muscles were taken as controls.METHODS: The in vitro toad's semitendinosus muscles (experimental side and control side) were treated with electrostimulation for 40 minutes, and then the resting potential of skeletal muscular cells were measured with the intracellular glass microelectrode technique. After the electrostimulation, filiform needle acupuncture, magnetic needle, magnetic needle plus pressing were also given.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The resting potentials were observed before exercise, after electrostimulation and other treatments in the groups.RESULTS: ① The resting potentials of skeletal muscular cells after electrostimulation were decreased as compared with those before electrostimulation [experimental side: (59.48±7.37), (84.54±5.72) mV; control side:(59.43±7.14), (83.62±5.86) mV]. ② After the treatments of acupuncture, magnetic lifting needle, magnetic lifting needle plus pressing, the decreased resting potentials after electrostimulation were obviously recovered (P < 0.01). ③ The recovered percentage of resting potential in the magnetic needle group was obviously smaller than those in the acupuncture group and magnetic needle+pressing group [(42.50±12.41)%, (53.71±10.93)%,(49.10±8.39)%, P < 0. 01].CONCLUSION: Acupuncture, magnetic lifting needle, magnetic lifting needle plus pressing plays a role in promoting the recovery of resting potential of skeletal muscular cells after long-term electrostimulation, and the effect of simple magnetic needle is smaller than that of acupuncture and magnetic needle plus pressing.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2009;25(4):567-571
Objective: To investigate mandibular movement characteristics in patients with skeletal class Ⅲ malocclusion during chewing different foods. Methods: 14 skeletal class Ⅲ adult patients with mandibular asymmetry, 10 patients without mandibular asymmetry and 10 normal control cases were chosen to find out the different condylar and incisor movement area ratio based on the aid of ARCUSdigma mandibular moving track analysis system. Results: First, during chewing soft food, the condylar tracing length of skeletal class Ⅲ adult patients with mandibular asymmetry were significant different in sagittal and horizontal plane compared with the other two groups(P<0.05), while the incisor point trajectory difference was not statistically significant. Second, the condylar and incisor movement characteristic showed much more different among three samples during chewing brittle food(P<0.05). Third, in sagittal plane, the deflective condylar movement area ratio was significantly higher than that of the other two groups during chewing hand food(P<0.01). Conclusion: The mandibular movement in skeletal class Ⅲ adult patients are affected obviously by the shape and texture of food. Asymmetric lower mandible patients have a greater preponderance of this phenomenon.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(05):-
Objective To explore the surgical indication, the operative procedure and effect of breast-conserving surgery plus combined treatment for the patients with early breast cancer. Methods 51 patients with early breast cancer were treated with breast-conserving surgery (BCS) plus radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormonotherapy postoperatively. The result of breast-conserving group was compared with 56 patients treated by modified radical mastectomy (control group). Results 25 patients underwent quadrant resection plus axillary lymph node dissection (ALND), 15 patients were subjected to local resection plus ALND, and 11 patients received quadrant resection only. All patients were followed-up for an average of 16.9 months. In BCS group, one patient was found to have local recurrence, and the distant metastasis rate was 0%. In the control group, no patient had local recurrence and the distant metastasis rate was 3.6%. The operative complication rate in BCS group and control group was 13.7% and 33.9% respectively (p﹤0.05). Conclusion Breast-conserving surgery plus combined treatment is safe and satisfactory for early breast cancer. It can be considered as the first choice for the treatment of patients with breast cancer in early stage.
