Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine 2012;51(2):123-126
ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence rate and risk factors of inpatients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) combined chronic kidney disease (CKD).MethodsAll people who underwent CHD combined CKD in CHD department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University during January to December 2009 were enrolled in the retrospective study. Results A total of 960 hospitalized patients with CHD were enrolled during the observation period. The prevalence of proteinuria and reduced eGFR were 11.04% and 10.52%,respectively.The total CKD prevalence rate was 16.77%,with male of 16.67% and female of 17.11%.There was no significant difference in prevalence rate between male and female( P > 0.05 ).The multi-factors logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes mellitus(OR 2.60,95%CI 1.17-3.29) was risk factor for CHD combined proteinuria.Ten-years older in age( OR1.55, 95%CI1.31-1.83 ), diabetesmellitus ( OR1.69, 95%CI1.15-2.47 ),hypercholesterolemia ( OR 2.89,95% CI 1.49-5.61 ),and hyperuricemia( OR 1.49,95% CI 0.96-2.33 )were risk factors for CHD combined CKD. Conclusion More attention should be paid to the high prevalence of CHD combined CKD.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2013;(4):456-458
A 64-year old man was admitted on July 2011 with masses both in liver and right kidney. After PET-CT and blood test examination, dual primary advanced cancers were speculated to be co-existed in this patient, which having poor prognosis.By evaluation with comprehensive geriatric assessment, the patient also had hypertension, diabetes and atherosclerosis, liver and renal insufficiency. After multidisciplinary consultation and detailed discussion with the patient, the decision of no surgery and just keep the follow-up was made. The patient has been followed up for 18 months and the functional evaluation is the same as before. It is very important to evaluate the risk/benefit equation and improve the standard of care, and make the decision as patient centered rather than disease-centered in the elderly patients.

China Biotechnology 2006;26(1):33-37
Objective: To research the activity of antibacterial proteins isolated from Musca domestica during larvae-pupae metamorphosis. Methods: The 5-day-old larvae of Musca domestica were injured with a needle. 24h later, the larvae which had changed into pupae were selected. The antibacterial protein was isolated by a four-step protocol including grinding, heating, CM-sepharose F. F. cationexchange chromatography and another CM-sepharose F. F. chromatography. Antibacterial activities of samples were tested by an ultrasensitive radial diffusion assay using Staphylococcus aureus as the indicator organism. The molecular weight of the isolated protein was determined by SDS-PAGE.Results: The molecular weight of this isolated protein was 43kDa, and its antibacterial activity was strong. Conclusions: A kind of protein with strong antibacterial activity can be produced in the Musca domestica during larvae-pupae metamorphosis.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(08):-
Aim To study gyrA and parC mutations of clinical Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains. Methods MIC values of 55 clinical P.aeruginosa isolates were determined by agar dilution test and 1 sensitive strain and 8 resistant strains were selected with standard sensitive strain ATCC27853 as control, the quinolone determining region (QRDR) of the gyrA and parC genes were amplified by PCR, the lengths of PCR products were 351 bp and 397 bp. The gyrA PCR products(351 bp) were digested with enzyme sacⅡ. The gyrA and parC gene were sequenced. Results In this study, gyrA genes of all resistant strains had an ACC to ATC mutation in codon 83, leading to the amino acid substitution of an isoleucine for a threonine, and three high level resistant strains also showed a GAC to GGC mutation in codon 87, leading to the substitution of a glycine for an aspartic acid. In addition, four resistant strains also had an TCG to TTG mutation in codon 87 of parC gene, leading to the amino acid substitution of a serine for a leucine. The strains with both gyrA and parC mutations were two to sixteen times more resistant than the strains which had only gyrA mutations. At the same time, a silent mutation (CAC to CAT) in codon 132 of gyrA gene and a silent mutation(GCT to GCG) in codon 115 of parC gene occured, which did not lead to amino acid change. Conclusion The mutations of 83 and 87 codons of gyrA and the mutatations of 87 codon of parC gene were related to fluroquinolone resistance, and the mutations of the 83 codon of gyrA gene were more important.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(8):905-909
Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy and safety of acupuncture and epidural anesthesia during full-term labor. Method A total of 199 eligible subjects experiencing natural labor were randomized into four groups. The acupuncture group was intervened by acupuncture at acupoints; the epidural group was given epidural anesthesia;the combined analgesia group was given acupuncture at acupoints plus epidural anesthesia; the control group was not given any interventions for analgesia. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was adopted to record and compare labor pain (cervix dilation 3 cm at 0 min, 30 min, and 60 min, and at full cervix dilation); meanwhile, the active period of the first stage of labor, cervix dilation speed, the second stage of labor, Caesarean section (C-section) rate, instrumental delivery rate, Apgar score, and post-labor bleeding amount (2 h) were also recorded. The contents of blood β-endorphin (β-EP) and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) were monitored during the first stage of labor. Result Compared with the control group, the VAS scores dropped in the other three groups, and the decreases were similar in the epidural group and combined analgesia group, while the decrease in the acupuncture group was the least significant. Regarding the labor-related indexes, the cervix dilation speed was higher in the acupuncture group than in the control group(P<0.05), while there was no significant difference between the acupuncture group and control group in comparing the duration of the second labor stage(P>0.05). There were no significant between-group differencesin comparing the post-labor bleeding amount and Apgar score of the new-born babies(P>0.05), but compared with the epidural group, there was no use of assisted delivery. The content of blood β-EP during the first stage of labor increased in the acupuncture group and combined analgesic group(P<0.05), but there were no significant changes in the epidural group and control group(P>0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture analgesia can reduce labor pain and shorten labor duration without affecting the second stage of labor and security-related indexes.
