Aspirin-induced asthma(AIA)is a distinct clinical syndrome characterized by adverse respiratory reactions to aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSDIDs).AIA is refractory asthma. To better understand the disease of AIA,this article reviews the epidemiology, clinical feature, the methods of diagnosis and the treatment of AIA.
3.Epithelial-mesenchymal transition and the airway remodeling of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2015;(9):1004-1008
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) is a group of chronic airway inflammatory disease characterized by sustained airflow limitation and pulmonary function damage.Inflammation and tissue repair repeatedly result in airway remodeling. Now the mechanisms of airway remodeling remain unclear.More and more researches indicated that epithelial mesenchymal transition ( EMT) is crucial in the airway remodeling of COPD.EMT could be induced by various cell factors and signal channels in the airway epithelium, thus the airway remodeling happened. This review systematically introduces EMT and focuses on the relationship of EMT and airway remodeling of COPD and the probable mechanisms.
4.Role of airway inflammation in the pathogenesis in patient with aspirin-induced asthma
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(02):-
The numbers of eosinophils and mast cells expressing 5-lipoxygenase of airway in aspirin-induced asthma (AIA) increased. LTC 4 synthase, the terminal enzyme for cys-LT production, is overexpressed markedly in bronchial biopsy specimens of most patients with AIA. These characterized the unique airway inflammation of AIA which may illuminat the pathogenesis of AIA to some extent.
5.Advances in clinical diagnosis and treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(03):-
It has been proved that severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is caused by a novel coronavirus. Detecting disease in its early stage, understanding its pathways of transmission and implementing specific prevention measures for the disease are very important in the course of disease control. China has established the definitions of suspected and confirmed cases of SARS. But the laboratory tests and definitions for the diagnosis are limited. Now the primary measures for SARS include isolation, therapeutics application with ribavirin and corticosteroid, mechanical ventilation, etc. Convalescent plasma is being explored. There still are many problems to be solved in the course of conquering SARS.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2015;(2):221-224
Bronchial asthma is the chronic airway inflammatory disease that characterized by reversible airflow limitation .The presence of airway inflammation could lead to airway remodeling .In recent years , many studies have found that arginase plays an im-portant role in the airway inflammation and airway remodeling of asthma .It not only reduces airway release nitric oxide and increases airway hyperresponsiveness , but also its metabolites such as putrescine , proline, etc can induce cell proliferation and collagen synthe-sis, leading to airway remodeling .In this paper , the arginase and its role in the pathogenesis of asthma are discussed .

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2012;46(6):500-504
Objective To analyze and summarize the characteristics of thyroid diseases on the MR diffusion-weighted imaging. Methods Forty-two patients with thyroid lesions, including 10 males and 32 females [age range 20-72 years, mean age (42 + 13) years] underwent MR DWI before surgery and biopsy. The diagnoses of thyroid lesions were confirmed by pathological results.ADC values of benign and malignant nodules, with different b values (b values was 300,500 and 800 s/mm2),were generated by using post-processing software Functool of GE company(USA).The independent-samples t test was used and ROC curve was made to evaluate the diagnostic efficiency of the ADC values by using statistical software SPSS 12.0.Results Histologically, there were 28 benign lesions and 14 malignant lesions.Benign lesions included 20 cases of thyroid adenoma,6 cases of nodular goiter and 2 cases of Hashimoto's thyroiditis respectively.Malignant lesions consisted of 11cases of thyroid papillary carcinoma,2 cases of follicular thyroid cancer, and 1case of dysplasia.mean ADC value of benign thyroid lesions was (2.39 ±0.38) ×10 -3 mm2/s and mean ADC value of malignant thyroid lesions was ( 1.60 ± 0.56) × 10 -3 mm2/s with b value of 300 s/mm2.The statistical difference was significant between them( t =5.35,P < 0.05 ).The statistical difference of mean A DC values, between benign and malignant nodules with b value of 500 s/mm2 [ (1.85 +0.33 ) × 10 -3 mm2/s and ( 1.65 ± 0.42 ) × 10 -3 mm2/s ],was insignificant ( t =1.70,P > 0.05 ).The statistical difference of mean ADC values, between benign and malignant nodules with b value of 800 s/mm2 [ ( 1.61± 0.30) × 10 -3mm2/s and( 1.44 +0.29) × 10 -3mm2/s],was insignificant (t =1.76,P >0.05 ).ROC curve indicated that the ADC value of 1.98 × 10-3 mm2/s or higher was the cut-off value for differentiating benign from malignant cold thyroid nodules, with a sensitivity of 85.7%,and a specificity of 78.6%.Conclusions The image quality is best with b value of 300 s/mm2.Mean ADC value of benign lesions was significantly higher than mean ADC value of malignant lesions with b value of 300 s/mm2.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(23):-
Objective To retrospectively analyse the efficacy and the influencing factors of plasma exchange(PE)in patients with chronic severe hepatitis. Methods Sixty patients of chronic severe hepatitis were included. Results The effective rate was 61.7%.The efficacy of PE was closely related to age, clinical stage,pre-treatment serum bilirubin values, prothrombin activity and incidence of complications(P0.05).Conclusion PE can significantly improve the survival of patients with chronic severe hepatitis.Especially for the patients under 60 years old, those with low serum TBIL level and high PTA,and those in the early clinical stage,PE treatment would achieve a better efficacy. But the improvement of prognosis of severe hepatitis still depends on the early specific treatment and active prevention of complications.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(05):-
Objective To construct cDNA library of alveolar macrophages after lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and dexamethasone (Dex) treatment for exploring the protein molecule interactive with glucocorticoid receptor (GR) in condition of inflammation. Methods After the cultured AMs were treated with LPS (10mg/ml) and Dex (10 -5 mol/L) for 4h, total RNA was extracted from AMs, then the cDNA was synthesized from total RNA of AMs and amplified using primers SMARTⅢ TM and CDSⅢoligo (dT) as the base of recombination. The purified PCR products as well as the linearized plasmid pGADT7-Rec were co-transformed into the competent yeast AH109. They were recombined by yeast homologous recombinase in the yeast cells and became the active cyclic plasmid. The transformed yeasts grew in the SD/-Leu plates. All the growing clones were harvested and then constituted the cDNA library. Furthermore, the bait pGBKT7-rGR transformed the yeast AH109 of library was constructed, and the protein molecule interactive with GR was screened. Results cDNA library of AMs was constructed with high multiplication and good capacity. 1.07?106 recombinants were obtained from the cDNA library. The amplified PCR fragments were between 0.3-1.5kb in size. One true positive clone, obtained by screening the cDNA library, was confirmed to be BAG-1 by sequencing and BLAST. Conclusion The yeast two-hybrid cDNA library of AMs was successfully constructed by Clontech SMART method; GR can interact with BAG-1 in yeast cells.
