In order to understand the job burnout situation of university teachers,this article has done a practical research by adopting documentary method,interviewing method and investigation method,taking the teachers for public basic subjects from health science center in some university as the study object.We also come up with some suggestions on how to alleviate the job burnout phenomenon of teachers for public basic subjects in medical colleges,so as to ensure the quality of their professional life and promote the development of teaching and scientific research.

Objective To explore the effect ot atorvastatin on the levels of serum Interleukin-6 ( IL-6),Endothelin(ET) and MCP-1 in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods 100 patients with ACI were randomly divided into the atorvastatin therapy group(n =50) and the conventional therapy group(n =50).At the basic of conventional therapy,the atorvastatin therapy group was treated with Atorvastatin 20mg/d.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The levels of serum IL-6,ET and MCP-1 were measured and the scores of neurological deficit ( NDS ) were evaluated before and after treatment.A healthy control group which approximately matched the experimental group included 30 persons.Results The levels of serum IL-6,ET and MCP-1 in both two groups after 14d treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(t =26.38,49.10,34.51,25.77,32.23,34.68,P ＜0.05),and the levels of serum IL-6,ET and MCP-1 in atorvastatin therapy group was significantly lower than that in conventional therapy group( t =10.10,13.18,23.85,P ＜0.05 ).NDS of both groups after treatment was lower than those before treatment(t =18.38,6.98,P ＜0.05 ),and the score of atorvastatin therapy group was significantly lower than that of conventional therapy group( t =12.00,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Atorvastatin could significantly decrease the levels of serum IL-6,ET and MCP-1,and it could promote the neurological fuction recovery in the patients with ACI.

BACKGROUND:Proliferation, migration and phenotypic changes of vascular smooth muscle cells is the core of the occurrence of atherosclerosis, and a series of related genes via methylation are involved in the process.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) on DNA methylation in the promoter region of the p21 gene and its potential mechanism in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.
METHODCultured human vascular smooth muscle cells were treated with different concentrations of ox-LDL (0, 10, 20, 40 mg/L) for 24 hours. The degree of DNA methylation was assayed by methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction, the expression of p21 mRNA was measured by reverse transcriptional polymerase chain reaction and the proliferative activity of vascular smooth muscle cells was determined by the MTT assay.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The ox-LDL treatment resulted in a promotion in the methylation in the promoter region of the p21 gene and a decrease in mRNA expression with a concentration-dependent manner;it also induced a dose-dependent promoting effect on vascular smooth muscle cellproliferation. The atherogenic mechanism of ox-LDL might promote vascular smooth muscle cellproliferation by the hypermethylation of the p21 gene that may lead to the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis.

Objective To explore the effects of citalopram on interleukin-6 (IL-6) and brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in serum and cortisol in plasma of patients with depression syndrome.Methods 60 patients with depression in Kangci Hospital of Jiashan were randomly divided into two groups.31 cases in experimental group were treated with citalopram, 29 cases in control group were treated with imipramine.Levels of IL-6 and BDNF in serum and cortisol in plasma were compared pre-and post-treatment between two groups.Results Compared with pre-treatment, the levels of IL-6 and cortisol were lower(P<0.05), the level of BDNF was higher(P<0.05) post-treatment in two groups.Compared with control group, the levels of IL-6 and cortisol were lower(P<0.05), the level of BDNF was higher(P<0.05)in experimental group.Conclusion Citalopram has good curative effect on depression.The mechanism may be related to the decrease of IL-6 and cortisol levels, and the increase of brain derived neurotrophic factor level.

Objective:To optimize the ultrasonic-assisted extraction technology of polysaccharide from Tremella by Box-Benhnken response surface methodology .Methods:The single-factor extraction tests and response surface analysis were employed to optimize the technology conditions , including ultrasonic power , ultrasonic time and liquid/solid ratio.Results:The experiment results indicated that the optimal extraction conditions were ultrasonic power of 360 W, ultrasonic time of 23 min and liquid/solid ratio of 45 ∶1 ( ml· g-1 ) . Under the conditions , 6 batches of polysaccharide from Tremella were extracted .The average extraction rate of Tremella polysaccharides was 20.4%±1.8%(n=6).Conclusion: The ultrasonic-assisted extraction process of Tremella polysaccharide using Box-Behnken response surface methodology is simple with good predictability .

Objective To evaluate Ho:YAG laser in the treatment of superficial bladder tumors. Methods 30 patients with superficial bladder tumors underwent endoscopic holmium laser resection with postoperative intravesical instillation therapy.There were 25 male patients and 5 famale with an average age of 54.The growth has been single in 15 and multiple in 15.The diameter of the tumor was 0.2～3.5 cm with the pathology grade G 1～G 2 and clinical stage T 1～T 2. Results The procedure has been successful in all and cold cup biopsies of the tumor base and incisal margin were negative.The mean resection time was 18 minutes,the mean volume of bleeding was less than 15 ml and no intraoperative bladder perforation or secondary hemorrhage occurred.All patients have been followed up for 3 to 14 months with a mean of 7.5 months.One patient (3%) had out-of-field recurrence. Conclusions Ho:YAG laser resection of bladder tumor (HoLRBt) provides an useful clinical therapeutic method that has the advantages of precise resection,simple technique,as well as no serious intraoperative or delayed complications.

Objective To highlight diagnosis and treatment of primary fibroepithelial polyp of ureter. Methods 7 cases of primary fibroepithelial polyp of ureter treated from May of 1990 to July of 2002 were analyzed retrospectively.Among them ,18～56 age of year,and right side in 5 cases,left in 2 cases.The foci are in upper,middle and lower part 2,3,2 cases respectively.The diagnosis was all ascertained on pathological studies. Results Hematuria and flank pain are the usual presentation.Preoperative image will reveal the lesion but the diagnosis of fibroepithelial polyp cannot be made by radiographic means alone.Surgical intervention was undertaken in all 7 cases.The initial case has undergone unnecessary nephroureterectomy as misdiagnosis of carcinoma of ureter.Surgical exploration and polypectomy was performed in 4 cases and polypectomy with holimlaser under ureteroscopy in 2 cases.The therapeutic results were satisfactory without relapse in 3 months～11 years follow up. Conclusions The diagnosis may be established with intravenous urogram and retrograde pyelography and surgical exploration may be performed when necessary.With the advent of ureteroscopy, a new minimally invasive approach to fibroepithelial polyp of ureter was introduced.

Objective The expression of transforming growth factor beta receptor Ⅰ (TGF?RⅠ) and transforming growth factor beta receptor Ⅱ (TGF?RⅡ) in the synovium and the articular cartilage of patients with osteoarthritis were studied,to explore the possible relationship between the transforming growth factor beta receptor and the pathogenesis and treatment of osteoarthritis.Method The distribution and positive levels of TGF?RⅠ,TGF?RⅡ and TGF? 1 in the synovium and articular cartilage from 26 patients with osteoarthritis and 3 patients with trauma were studied,using Immunohistochemial methods.Results Immunohistochemical staining of TGF?RⅠ showed positive in all synovial samples in patients with osteoarthritis.The positive staining of TGF?RⅠ was found in most synovial lining cells,endotheliocyte and the macrophage in subsynovial layer with osteoarthritis,especially macrophage like synoviocyte.The positive particles were distributed in the cytoplasma.The distribution and staining levels of TGF?RⅡ in synovium and articular cartilage of patients with osteoarthritis were similar to those of TGF?RⅠ.Positive stainings for TGF?RⅠ, TGF?RⅡ and TGF? 1 were found in over half of chondrocytes.Conclusion It is suggested that vehicles of signal trasmission of TGF? are rich in the synovial membrane and cartilage.There is an important effect of TGF? receptor on inhibiting inflammatory process and helping to repair local tissue.

AIM:To investigate the protective effect of ginger oil on liver.METHODS:Mouse model of acute hepatic injury induced by carbon tetrachloride and acetaminophen were used to observe the protective effect of ginger oil on liver.RESULTS:Ginger oil could obviously decrease ALT and AST levels of mouse model of acute hepatic injury induced by carbon tetrachloride and acetaminophen,significantly decrease MDA level of rat liver tissue and mouse serum(P

AIM: To study the chemical constituents from leaves of Ampelopsis sinica. METHODS: The chem-ical constituents were isolated by column chromatographic methods, and the structures were elucidated on the basisof IR,~1H-NMR, ~(13)C-NMR, MS spectral analysis. RESULTS: Nine compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as quercetin β-sitosterol,vanillic acid,3,5-dimethoxy1-4-orthohydroxybenzoic acid ,epicatechin,api-genin, kaempferol, 5,7,3',4'-Tetrahydroxyflavone-3-O-6-rhamnose, rutin. CONCLUSION: All compounds are isolated from leaves of this plant for the first time.
