Objective To explore the clinical value of N-terminal prosoma of B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-ProBNP) in assessing the heart function of the patients with chronic heart failure.Methods 94 inpatients diagnosed as chronic heart failure were divided into 4 groups (Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ) according to the cardiac function of NYHA Functional Class(NYHA-FC),and 5 inpatients with normal cardic function were also selected as control group.The plasma NT-ProBNP was detected.The results of heart color ultrasound was collected.Results In patients with heart failure,left ventricular end-diastolic dimension(LV) increased following the increase of plasma NT-ProBNP level.Among NYHA-FC groups,NT-ProBNP levels were different,which increased as the NYHA-FC upgrades.Spearman correlation analysis showed that NT-ProBNP had good correlation with both LV and NYHA-FC(r =0.453,P ＜0.01 ;r =0.538,P ＜ 0.01).There was also good correlation between LV and NYHA-FC(r =0.322,P ＜ 0.01) ;but the correlation was slightly lower than the previous.Conclusion NT-ProBNP can reflect the level of ventricular remodeling and the severity of the cardiac decompensation in chronic heart failure patients.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of pregabalin assisting anti-histamine drugs in the treat-ment of secondary skin pruritus in uremic patients underwent maintenance hemodialysis. METHODS:140 uremic patients with sec-ondary skin pruritus underwent maintenance hemodialysis were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,with 70 cases in each group. Control group was given loratadine orally,10 mg,qd. Treatment group was additionally given pregabalin on the basis of control group,75 mg,po,at night of hemodialysis end,increasing by 75 mg every week if no obvious relief was found,maximal dose of 300 mg. Both group received 3 months of treatment. Clinical efficacy,VAG itching score,modified Duo score,PSQI score before and after treatment and the incidence of ADR were compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:Total effec-tive rate of treatment group (90.00%) was significantly higher than that of control group (71.43%),with statistical significance (P<0.05);VAG itching score,modified Duo score and PSQI score of treatment group after treatment were significantly lower than control group and before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Pregabalin assisting anti-histamine drugs in the treatment of secondary skin pruritus in uremic patients with maintenance hemodialysis can efficiently relieve the itching symptoms,improve sleep quality,and not increase the risk of ADR.

Objective To evaluate the levels of the Chinese literature published by the schistosomiasis control institutions of 17 municipal cities of Hubei Province. Methods The related literature published from 2008 to 2012 was searched from the da-tabases of CNKI VIP and Wanfang and then screened by the exclusion criteria. NoteExpress and Excellsoftwares were applied to collect the literature and carry out the bibliometric analysis. Results A total of 168 papers were included and the schistosomia-sis control institutes of Jingzhou City and Wuhan City had the highest amount. The literature was mainly published in Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control and Journal of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. The comprehensive influence index-es of the schistosomiasis control institutes of Jingzhou Wuhan and Qianjiang cities were higher. The schistosomiasis control in-stitutes of Jingzhou City had an extensive content of literature while Wuhan was mainly focused on epidemiology case report and Oncomelania hupensis snail control. Conclusion The research of schistosomiasis in each municipal city has an extensive con-tent and the research capacity of the schistosomiasis control institute of Jingzhou City is relatively outstanding.

Estimation of postmortem interval(PMI) by ocular tissues has been a new top subject in the forensic research and practice ifelds. A lot of research results showed that the changes of cornea, retina, vitreous humor and aqueous humor and so on exist a high linear correlation with PMI, which can be used to estimate PMI. This paper reviewed recent progress of study on them.

Objective: Our purpose was to study whether exogenous adenosine triphosphate (ATP) could enter liver cell or not. Methods: Using continuous hypothermic machine perfusion model of rat liver, we used autoradiography in this experiment. Results: The light microscope pictures of group A(no ［α-32P］ ATP in the perfusate) showed that there was no specially labeled silver pellet in or out of rat liver cell. But the light microscope pictures of group B (37 MBq ［α- 32P］ATP in the perfusate) showed that distribution of numerous ［α-32P］ATP autoradiographic silver pellets in rat liver cell, and no autoradiographic silver pellet was found in the hepatic sinus and vessel. Conclusion: Exogenous ATP could enter cold storaged rat liver cell.

Objective To observe the effects of anti depression therapy on post stroke and neurological rehabilitation in the elderly. Methods There were 178 post stroke depression (PSD) cases. They were divided into 3 groups: 64 cases taking Prozac once every morning about 20 80 mg daily; 58 cases taking amitriptyline twice everyday about 50 100 mg daily and 56 cases taking placebo as control group. All of them were on the regular treatment of cerebrovascular disease. All the cases were evaluated according to the HAMD score, neurological function impairment and ADL before treatment and 1 st , 2 nd , 4 th , 8 th week and 3 rd , 6 th , 12 th month after the treatment. Results At the 2 nd week, HAMD score dropped obviously from 27 7?6 9 to 17 3?5 9 in Prozac group, from 26 9? 6 9 to 15 7?4 2 in amitriptyline group, with significant difference vs pre treatment and the control groups ( P

Objective To discuss the value of detection of small liver tumor with Galactose-Bovine-serum-albumin containing superparamagetic(Gal-BSA-SPIO) in rabbits primarily.Methods Gal-BSA-SPIO was obtained by stabilizing small superparamagnetic iron with galactose-bovine-serum-albumin,and its size was measured.Models of liver tumor(diameter＜1.5 cm) in rabbits were founded.The animals were randomly divided into groups of SPIO (n=10) and group of Gal-BSA-SPIO (n=10).Each group was further subdivided as 5 μmol Fe/kg group (n=5) and 10 μmol Fe/kg group (n=5),respectively.All animals were performed magnetic resonance imaging before and after administration of agents according to groups.SE T2WI,FSE T2WI and GRE T2WI sequences were used.Then signal of noise(SNR) of liver and contrast-noise ratio(CNR) of tumor-liver were measured and compared statistically.The histopathology study was performed for liver and tumor specimens after MR imaging.Results The mean value for the volume size was 34.4 nm,and the core particle size was 14.8 nm.The differences of liver SNR between before and after enhancement for 5 μmol Fe/kg SPIO,5 μmol Fe/kg Gal-BSA-SPIO,10 μmol Fe/kg SPIO and 10 μmol Fe/kg Gal-BSA-SPIO group were (1.92±0.42),(3.75±0.51),(3.25±0.72) and (4.73±0.34) on SE sequence,respectively;(1.56±0.18),(3.56±0.64),(3.33±0.16) and (4.83±0.16) on FSE sequence,respectively;(5.55±0.91),(9.58±0.66),(9.20±0.29) and (10.63±0.32) on GRE sequence,respectively.There were significant differences between all groups for difierent doses and agents and within all different sequences (P＜0.01).The differences of tumor-liver CNR between before and after enhancement of these 4 groups were(2.22±0.68),(5.27±0.22),(4.25±0.51) and (6.97±0.63) on SE sequence,respectively;(1.73±0.41),(4.46±0.54),(3.73±0.49)and (5.39±0.39) on FSE sequence,respectively;(5.98±0.71),(11.79±0.57),(9.57±0.54)and(14.64±1.35)on GRE sequence,respectively.The differences between all groups of different doses and agents and within all sequences showed significant (P＜0.01). Histopathological study revealed that Gal-BSA-SPIO was mainly distributed in hepatocytes while SPIO mainly in Kupffer cells.Conclusion Gal-BSA-SPIO is a agent with good negative enhancement effect in liver.It may be helpful for detecting small tumor of liver.

Objective To explore the indications,surgical techniques and clinical effects of laparoscopic splenectomy on patients with portal hypertension. Methods Analysis the clinical data of 32 patients of portal hypertenision with laparoscopic splenectomy and open splenectomy from March 2006 until June 2009. Results The effectiveness of the procedures for portal hypertension was evaluated.Among 16 patients with LS, 2 patients were converted to open surgery. There is no significant difference with operatative time, blood loss and hospital fees between the two groups, the laparoscpy group had the shorter mean hospitalization, fasting and draining time. Conclusions If there are enough preparation preoperation, skillful laparoscopic technique and micromesh manipulation during operation,laparoscopic splenectomy is a minimally invasive and safe technique in the patients with lower-grade to medium varicose veins.

This study was aimed to explore the effect of Periplaneta Americana against alcohol-induced liver injury in mice, in order to provide a theoretical basis for the industrial production of P. Americana. Kunming mice were randomly divided into six groups, which were the normal group, model group, positive group, high-, middle-, low-dose of P. Americana groups. Intragastric administration of Tiopronin Enteric-coated Tablets 100 mg·kg-1 was given to the positive group. Intragastric administrations of whole powder of medicine were given to the high-, middle-, low-dose groups with the dosage of 6.667, 3.333, 1.667 g·kg-1, respectively. The drugs were given daily for 10 con-secutive days. After 3h of the 10th day drug administration, intragastric administration of distilled water was given to the normal group, while 14mL·kg-1 of 56℃ Red Star Liquor was given to other groups. No food was given but water for 12h. Blood was collected from the orbit. The ALT, AST and GGT in blood serum of mice were measured. The liver was dissected and liver coefficient was calculated. Histopathological examination was given on liver tissues. The results showed that compared with the normal group, the level of ALT, AST in blood serum of the model group had obvious enhanced (P< 0.01), the level of GGT had obvious enhanced (P< 0.05). Compared with the model group, the level of GGT, AST of the high-, middle-dose group had obvious enhanced (P< 0.05), the level of ALT activity had obvious enhanced (P< 0.01). There were severe liver histopathological damages in mice of the high-, middle-, low-dose group. It was concluded that P. Americana had some side effects in the treatment of alcohol-induced liver injury.

Objective To evaluate the efficiency and safety of ultrasonic debridement therapy (UDT) and intelligence negative-pressure wound therapy(INPWT) for diabetic foot ulcers with Wagner 2-3degree.Methods Eighty patients with diabetic foot ulcers with Wagner 2-3 degree were divided into two groups according to the treatment method.The UDT and INPWT group (INPWT group) had 53 cases.Routine treatment group(routine group) had 27 cases.Both groups were given blood sugar and blood pressure control,anticoagulation,anti-infection and supportive treatment.The efficiency and complications were compared between two groups.Results In INPWT group,29 cases were healed,14 cases showed obvious effectiveness,7 cases were effective and 3 cases were inefficacy.The total effective rate was 94.34％(50/53).For routine group,they were 7,8,6,6 cases and 77.78％(21/27) respectively.The total effective rate between two groups had significant difference (P ＜0.05).Pain was found in 9 cases and hemoglobin decreased in 1 case in INPWT group.Conclusion INPWT after UDT for diabetic foot ulcers with Wagner 2-3 degree shows a good efficiency and safety.
