1.The clinical value of NT-ProBNP in evaluation the severity of heart failure

Objective To explore the clinical value of N-terminal prosoma of B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-ProBNP) in assessing the heart function of the patients with chronic heart failure.Methods 94 inpatients diagnosed as chronic heart failure were divided into 4 groups (Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ) according to the cardiac function of NYHA Functional Class(NYHA-FC),and 5 inpatients with normal cardic function were also selected as control group.The plasma NT-ProBNP was detected.The results of heart color ultrasound was collected.Results In patients with heart failure,left ventricular end-diastolic dimension(LV) increased following the increase of plasma NT-ProBNP level.Among NYHA-FC groups,NT-ProBNP levels were different,which increased as the NYHA-FC upgrades.Spearman correlation analysis showed that NT-ProBNP had good correlation with both LV and NYHA-FC(r =0.453,P <0.01 ;r =0.538,P < 0.01).There was also good correlation between LV and NYHA-FC(r =0.322,P < 0.01) ;but the correlation was slightly lower than the previous.Conclusion NT-ProBNP can reflect the level of ventricular remodeling and the severity of the cardiac decompensation in chronic heart failure patients.
2.Clinical Observation of Pregabalin Assisting Anti-histamine Drugs in the Treatment of Secondary Skin Pru-ritus in Uremic Patients Underwent Maintenance Hemodialysis

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of pregabalin assisting anti-histamine drugs in the treat-ment of secondary skin pruritus in uremic patients underwent maintenance hemodialysis. METHODS:140 uremic patients with sec-ondary skin pruritus underwent maintenance hemodialysis were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,with 70 cases in each group. Control group was given loratadine orally,10 mg,qd. Treatment group was additionally given pregabalin on the basis of control group,75 mg,po,at night of hemodialysis end,increasing by 75 mg every week if no obvious relief was found,maximal dose of 300 mg. Both group received 3 months of treatment. Clinical efficacy,VAG itching score,modified Duo score,PSQI score before and after treatment and the incidence of ADR were compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:Total effec-tive rate of treatment group (90.00%) was significantly higher than that of control group (71.43%),with statistical significance (P<0.05);VAG itching score,modified Duo score and PSQI score of treatment group after treatment were significantly lower than control group and before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Pregabalin assisting anti-histamine drugs in the treatment of secondary skin pruritus in uremic patients with maintenance hemodialysis can efficiently relieve the itching symptoms,improve sleep quality,and not increase the risk of ADR.
3.Current situation of scientific research capacity of schistosomiasis control in-stitutions of municipal cities in Hubei Province

Objective To evaluate the levels of the Chinese literature published by the schistosomiasis control institutions of 17 municipal cities of Hubei Province. Methods The related literature published from 2008 to 2012 was searched from the da-tabases of CNKI VIP and Wanfang and then screened by the exclusion criteria. NoteExpress and Excellsoftwares were applied to collect the literature and carry out the bibliometric analysis. Results A total of 168 papers were included and the schistosomia-sis control institutes of Jingzhou City and Wuhan City had the highest amount. The literature was mainly published in Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control and Journal of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. The comprehensive influence index-es of the schistosomiasis control institutes of Jingzhou Wuhan and Qianjiang cities were higher. The schistosomiasis control in-stitutes of Jingzhou City had an extensive content of literature while Wuhan was mainly focused on epidemiology case report and Oncomelania hupensis snail control. Conclusion The research of schistosomiasis in each municipal city has an extensive con-tent and the research capacity of the schistosomiasis control institute of Jingzhou City is relatively outstanding.
4.Estimation of postmortem interval by ocular tissues

Estimation of postmortem interval(PMI) by ocular tissues has been a new top subject in the forensic research and practice ifelds. A lot of research results showed that the changes of cornea, retina, vitreous humor and aqueous humor and so on exist a high linear correlation with PMI, which can be used to estimate PMI. This paper reviewed recent progress of study on them.
5.Application of Autoradiography in Study of Cold Storaged Transplant Organs

Objective: Our purpose was to study whether exogenous adenosine triphosphate (ATP) could enter liver cell or not. Methods: Using continuous hypothermic machine perfusion model of rat liver, we used autoradiography in this experiment. Results: The light microscope pictures of group A(no [α-32P] ATP in the perfusate) showed that there was no specially labeled silver pellet in or out of rat liver cell. But the light microscope pictures of group B (37 MBq [α- 32P]ATP in the perfusate) showed that distribution of numerous [α-32P]ATP autoradiographic silver pellets in rat liver cell, and no autoradiographic silver pellet was found in the hepatic sinus and vessel. Conclusion: Exogenous ATP could enter cold storaged rat liver cell.
6.The effects of anti-depression therapy on post-stroke depression and neurologic rehabilitation in the elderly patients

Objective To observe the effects of anti depression therapy on post stroke and neurological rehabilitation in the elderly. Methods There were 178 post stroke depression (PSD) cases. They were divided into 3 groups: 64 cases taking Prozac once every morning about 20 80 mg daily; 58 cases taking amitriptyline twice everyday about 50 100 mg daily and 56 cases taking placebo as control group. All of them were on the regular treatment of cerebrovascular disease. All the cases were evaluated according to the HAMD score, neurological function impairment and ADL before treatment and 1 st , 2 nd , 4 th , 8 th week and 3 rd , 6 th , 12 th month after the treatment. Results At the 2 nd week, HAMD score dropped obviously from 27 7?6 9 to 17 3?5 9 in Prozac group, from 26 9? 6 9 to 15 7?4 2 in amitriptyline group, with significant difference vs pre treatment and the control groups ( P
7.Influences of pancreatic cancer cell PANC-1 proliferation of downregulating Berlin1 expression

Objective To observe the influences of Bcl-2 expression and pancreatic cancer cell proliferation after downregulating Beclin1 expression and discuss the mechanism.Methods Target interfering plasmid siBeclin1 was constructed and transfected to PANC-1 cell,and cells were divided into non transfected group(Beclin1 group),blank control group(control siNegative group) and transfection group(siBeclin1 group).Western blot and qRT-PCR were used to detect the transfection efficiency and Bcl-2 expression after transfection.Proliferation was detected by MTT.Results Western blot and qRT-PCR results showed that expression of Beclin1 in siBeclin1 group was lower than Beclin1 and siNegative control groups (27.823± 1.432,8.635±1.481,26.904±1.098;F=8.176,P<0.01),qRT-PCR showed that the Beclin1 mRNA level of PANC-1 cells in siBeclin1 group was lower than Belcin1 and siNegative groups (0.421 ±0.157,0.194±0.104,0.399 ±0.123;F=5.239,P<0.01),and the silencing rate was about 60%-70%.Bcl-2 protein expression and levels of mRNA in siBeclin1 group were significantly higher than that of Beclin1 group(26.912±1.927,8.004±1.534,t =7.329,P<0.01;0.582±0.297,0.217±0.186,t =6.835,P<0.01);MTT results showed that the proliferation of PANC-1 cells were strengthened,(61.54±6.81)% and (46.78±7.28)% at 72 h,(76.39±7.26)% and (54.27±8.17)% at 96 h,and the difference was significant(t=3.674,P<0.05;t =10.185,P <0.01).Conclusion Proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells are strengthened after Beclin1 expression downregulating,so Beclin1 may inhibit the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells by Bcl-2 downregulating.Beclin1 can be a target candidate gene of pancreatic cancer therapy.
8.Proliferation-inhibited and apoptosis-inducted effects of evodiamine on human hepatoma cell line HepG2

Aim To explore the proliferation-inhibited,apoptosis-induced and cell cycle-regulated effect of evodiamine on human hepatoma cell line HepG2.Methods MTT,Dapi assay,flow cytometry analysis,comet assay were used.Results Evodiamine could significantly inhibit the growth of human hepatoma cell line HepG2.After 72 hours of treatment with evodiamine at different concentrations(64,16,4,1,0.25 ?mol?L-1),the inhibitory rate of HepG2 was 74.0%,69.0%,60.5%,44.0% and 16.4%,respectively.Meanwhile,HepG2 showed typical apoptosis.After 24 and 36 hours' treatment with evodiamine(1 ?mol?L-1),a typical subdiploid peak before G0/G1 phase was observed by flow cytometry and cell cycle was arrested in the G2/M phase,while the rate of apoptosis was 4.4%,18.0% and 30.3% of treatment with evodiamine for 12,24 and 36 hours respectively.After 24 and 36 hours' treatment with evodiamine(1 ?mol?L-1),the average optical density was lower than that of the control and the length of tail increased compared with the control.Meanwhile the changes were related with time.Conclusion Evodiamine inhibits the proliferation and induces apoptosis of HepG2.
9.Practice of engineering management and its effect on schistosomiasis control in Hankou marshland,Wuhan City

Objective To investigate the Oncomelania hupensis snail control effect of schistosomiasis control engineering in marshland within Wuhan City. Methods The engineering measures including surface barrier removal,molluscicide,flatting surface,topsoil stripping,topsoil covering and ditch renovation were applied to transform Hankou marshland. Then the corre-sponding technical parameters of engineering measures were put forward. The situation of snails was analyzed before and after the transform project. Results The total length and area of the project were 6015 m and 87.21 hm2,respectively,including 17.44 hm2 of topsoil landfill,52.08 hm2 of topsoil covering and 23 new ditches. After the transformation,the average length of the new groove,the groove top width,groove depth,height difference,and the average values of slopes and ditch bottom slope were all increased,while the average values of the width and height of the ditch were decreased. At the same time,the marsh-land beach surface had a new slope that the embankment was higher than the river and no living O. hupensis snails were found then. Conclusions The snail breeding environment in Hankou marshland has been effectively changed by the project. Howev-er,the constant monitoring and engineering management are still needed to consolidate the effect.
10.Analysis on the Invention Patent of Apocynum venetum

In this paper, the patents of traditional medicine A pocynum venetum were retrieved till 29th May, 2014, and the patent information, including the authorization condition, developing trends, geographic distribution, competi-tion agencies and therapeutic effects, was analyzed. Totally 764 patent families were obtained,only eight among them coming from countries and districts except China and Japan. China was in a leader position on the number of patent application of A . venetum. The patent applications mainly came from pharmaceutical enterprises. Most frequently patents were about innovations on the pharmacological effects such as regulation of blood pressure and blood sugar, as well as the development of health food and products. Traditional medicines used compatible included blood-activating and stasis-eliminating drugs, heat-clearing drugs, diaphoretics, deficiency-nourishing drugs and digestive drugs. This article revealed the trend and some rules of development of A . venetum, and reflected the developmental achievement and world patent pattern after a meta-analysis, exhorting to guide a better understanding and further research.
