1.Classification and evolutionary analysis of pollen allergens
Chinese Journal of Microbiology and Immunology 2010;30(1):56-59
Objective To classify all the plant pollen allergens, each allergen sequence available was compared with protein family database. After that, the appearance and taxonomic distribution of each protein family could be known. When made reference to evolutionary analysis, a regular rule of the distribu-tion of all plant pollen allergens could be concluded. Methods Protein family memberships of each allergen were assigned by comparing the sequences with the Pfam database. Representative members of the most a-bundant pollen allergen families were compared with the Uniprot database using the BLAST server. Acces-sion number of all the interesting homologous could be obtained and all the sequence information could be ac-quired by Batch Entrez. Finally, the evolutionary trees were drawn with the help of MEGA4.0 software. Re-sults One hundred and sixty-eight pollen allergens were classified into 26 protein families. Profilins, pollen _allerg_1 and EF hands constituted the most abundant pollen allergen families. Profilins and EF hands oc-curred in almost all allergenic plant families, whereas allergenic Expansins, FAD_binding proteins, Amb_V allergens and Thaumatins were confined to single taxon. Conclusion It is concluded that the highly con-served sequences of allergens families such as Profilin may be one of the most important reasons of the cross reactivities in allergic diseases. The classification of pollen allergens may be helpful to clinical practice and basic research.

4.Cluster ensemble algorithm based on dual neural gas applied to cancer gene expression profiles.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(1):93-98
The microarray technology used in biological and medical research provides a new idea for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. To find different types of cancer and to classify the cancer samples accurately, we propose a new cluster ensemble framework Dual Neural Gas Cluster Ensemble (DNGCE), which is based on neural gas algorithm, to discover the underlying structure of noisy cancer gene expression profiles. This framework DNGCE applies the neural gas algorithm to perform clustering not only on the sample dimension, but also on the attribute dimension. It also adopts the normalized cut algorithm to partition off the consensus matrix constructed from multiple clustering solutions. We obtained the final accurate results. Experiments on cancer gene expression profiles illustrated that the proposed approach could achieve good performance, as it outperforms the single clustering algorithms and most of the existing approaches in the process of clustering gene expression profiles.

7.Recent advance in treatment and prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(11):774-777
Gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) ,a kind of rare tumor, takes 1%~3% of all tumors in digestive tract, but are the most common in mesenehymal neoplasm. At present, the primal treatment of GIST is surgical operation, standard and rationality of surgery is the significant fatter that affects its curative effect. While imatinib is the main therapeutic tool for GIST that can' t benn resected or recurrence after operation. There is no definite circumscription between optimum and malignancy, there are many factors that influence the prognosis of GIST.We commonly apply Fletcher grading to evaluate the risk of GIST.
8.Prevention and management of ophthalmic anaesthesia-related complications
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2017;35(5):391-395
Advances in ophthalmic surgery, together with achieving greater patient safety, have changed the requirements, methods and choice of regional anaesthesia of the eyes.So far, there still lacks of an absolutely safe ophthalmic regional block method, and the intraoperative anesthesia method depends on the needs of the surgeon and the expectations and the cooperation of the patients. The majority of ophthalmic procedures can be performed under regional anesthesia, but the proximity of important structures, such as the blood vessels, optic nerve and the brainstem, leads to increased risks associated with these blocks. The most serious one of these complications is brainstem anesthesia. An clear and full understanding of these complications, which may sometimes be life-threatening,is thus vital to the anesthesia practitioner.Procedural improvements include a close evaluation of the precise anatomy of the region, with particular attention to injection sites, depth of injection, position of the eyeball, and techniques to avoid nerve damage and accidental injection into surrounding structures, including blood vessels, eyeball and cerebrospinal fluid. To emphasize the importance of the prevention, recognition and management of these complications, which includes the extremely serious complication of brainstem anesthesia.
9.Effects of different resin cements on bonding strength and failure modes of fiber posts
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(12):1852-1857
BACKGROUND:The good performance of resin cements used to cement fiber-posts has been confirmed, but the adhesive properties of different kinds of resin cements remain different.
OBJECTIVE:To compare the shear bond strength of three resin cements (Bisco One-step, Clearfil DC, 3M ESPE RelyX Unicem) used to cement fiber posts and to observe their adhesive properties.
METHODS:Fifteen extracted teeth were selected and the crowns were removed with a diamond bur 1-mm coronal to the cemento-enamel junction fol owed by endodontic treatment. Then the teeth were randomly divided into three groups (n=5). Glass fiber posts were cemented respectively with three resin cements, and after embedding, the roots were cut into 2-mm-thick sections for push-out tests. The mean shear bonding strengths were compared, and the failure modes were recorded and analyzed under a high-power microscope.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Mean bonding strengths were (4.69±1.85) MPa for Bisco One-step group, Clearfil DC, (6.10±0.36) MPa for Clearfil DC group, and (7.04±0.92) MPa for 3M ESPE RelyX Unicem group. The bonding strengths of RelyX Unicem and Clearfil DC groups were significantly greater than that of Bisco One-step group (P<0.05), but no significant difference was between 3M ESPE RelyX Unicem group and Clearfil DC group. Al samples were mainly defined as modes Ⅱ andⅣfailure, indicating that the adhesive failure was the most mode of fracture. These findings showed that the bonding strengths of fiber posts cemented to root canals with three different resin cements system exhibit significant differences, and the interface between dentine and resin cements is the primary weak link.
