International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;(6):621-623
With the development of mycoplasma pneumonia (MP) pathogenesis research, the dynamic observation of changes of cytokines on judgement of the infection of mycoplasma is of certain guiding significance.Domestic and foreign studies showed that MP infection was closely related with IL-17 and its receptor.IL-17 and its receptor may be involved in neutrophil recruitment, and in resistance to MP infection on the immune response. In this paper, the relationship between IL-17and its recepter and mycoplasma infection are reviewed.

Object To study the difference between Radi x Codonopsis (RC) and Radix Astragali (RA) on the central nerv ous system. Methods Sleeping was induced by pentobarbital sodium and ether. The water maze was used. Results Both RC and RA could prolong the sleeping time induced by pentobarbital sodium and ether. RC and RA had effect on the scopolamine-indu ced study and memory disturbance of mice. Conclusion The effect of RC on prolonging the sleeping time induced by pentobarbital sodium and ether is better than that of RA. On the study and memory disturbance induced by sc opolamine, RC is also better tha n RA.

Object To study the anti-arrhythmia effect and acute toxicity of flavonoid from Erysimum cheiranthoides L. Methods To study the anti-arrhythmia of the flavonoid by determination of the ECG of rabbits. To study the acute toxicity effect of the flavonoid by Karber's method. Results The results showed that the flavonoid could remedy to tachycardia caused by Adriamycin and it could remedy to bradycardia caused by Verapamil. Acute toxicity showed that LD 50 of flavonoid is 311.7 mg/kg, 95% CI is 289.9—339.5 mg/kg. Conclusion The flavonoid can rectify tachycardia due to various reasons with very little toxicity.

IL-2 gene was introduced into human erythroleukemic cell line K562 by retroviral vector. After transduction for eighteen days, flow microfluorometric analysis for DNA distribution of both K562/neo and K562/IL-2 cells indicated that transduced cells were accumulated in a state of G2M arrest. Thirty days later, the number of G2+M in K562/neo cells decreased, but proportion of G0/G1 in K562/IL-2 cells was still lower and G2+M was higher than that of nontransduced cells. The proliferative activity assay by MTT method demonstrated that the proliferation of K562/IL-2 was slow following four day culture. The index of mitosis was decreased. The results of light microscopical studies showed many giant and multinucleate giant cells with even more than twenty nuclei in each cell. It was possible that the formation of multinucleate giant cells associated with repeated endomitosis in a single cell. Further analysis of morphometry confirmed that the size of IL-2 gene modified K562 cells was increased. The ratio of giant cells was higher than that of nontransduced K562 cells. We suggested that I1-2 gene transduction might have some regulation effects on proliferative activity of K562 cells. IL-2 gene modified K562 cells might be blocked at a stage of G2.

BACKGROUND: Lanceolata and astragalus can improve myocardial ischemia, which are widely used in clinics.OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects of extract of lanceolata and astragalus on electrocardiogram (ECG) of rats with experimental myocardial ischernia.DESIGN: Completely randomized and controlled study.SETTING: Pharmacological College of Harbin Commerce University.MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out at the Laboratory of Pharmacological College of Harbin Commerce University from September to December 2002. Totally 30 healthy adult Wistar rats were divided randomly into 3 groups: control group, lanceolata group and astragalus group with 10 in each group.METHODS: ① After anesthesia, lead ECG Ⅱ of rats was recorded.30 g/kg saline, 30 g/kg lanceolata extract and 30 g/kg astragalus extract [extract of lanceolata and astragalus (raw drug: 1 g/mL)] were injected into rats in the control group, lanceolata group and astragalus group respectively. After 1-3 minutes, 0.5 U/kg pituitrin was injected intravenously (for model of myocardial ischemia), and then saline was used to dilute from 0.1to 0.2 mL for 10-second injection. Changes of ECG after injection of pituitrin were recorded with LMA-2B Ⅱ physiological recorder (migration of T wave and ST section and change of heart rate). ② Differences of data were compared with t test.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Height of T wave and Migrations of ST section and changes of heart rate of ECG of rats before and after medication.RESULTS: Data of totally 30 rats was entered the final analysis. ①Height of T wave: The height was higher after medication than that before medication in three groups (P < 0.01), but that in astragalus group was obviously lower than that in lanceolata group [(1.63±3.81), (2.18±2.93) mm,P < 0.01]. ② Heart rate: The rate was lower after medication than that of before medication in three groups (P < 0.01), and that in astragalus group was obviously lower than that in lanceolata group [(212.21 ±5.01),(221.18±5.66) time/minute, P < 0.01]. ③ Height of ST section: There were not significantly different in three groups (P > 0.05), and the difference was not obvious before and after medication (P > 0.05).CONCLUSION: ① Both astragalus and lanceolata can protect experimental myocardial ischemia induced by pituitrin. ② Effect of lanceolata on reduction of T-wave height is stronger than that of astragalus, but the effect of lanceolata on reduction of heart rate is weaker than that of astragalus.

0.05).The mRNA and protein expressions of survivin in cells transfected by 100-200nmol/L siRNA were significantly lower than those of untransfected cells(P0.05).Conclusion Silencing survivin gene by the RNAi technique can decrease effectively the expressions of survivin gene and protein, suppress significantly the growth and proliferation of A549 cells, and induce apoptosis of A549 cells. The inhibitory effect of RNAi is characterized by its specificity, high efficiency and durability. This may lay an experimental foundation for further study of gene therapy in lung cancer.

Objective To explore the relapse, therapeutic effect, risk and prognostic factors of the pulmonary invasive fungal disease(IFD)in patients with a history of pulmonary IFD following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT).Methods Fourteen patients with a history of pulmonary IFD received allo-HSCT between March 2005 and October 2006.Before transplantation,10 patients obtained complete remission(CR)and 4 partial remission(PR)after antifungal therapy.Antifungal prophylaxis was initiated on the first day of the conditioning therapy.Logistic regression models were used for multivariable analyses. Results The relapse rate of pulmonary IFD after allo-HSCT was 71.43%(10/14).Of 10 patients in CR,6 relapsed and all four patients in PR relapsed.Seven patients relapsed less than 3 months and 3 relapsed between four and six months after transplantation.Among the 10 patients with a history of IFD who relapsed after transplantation,9 patients received antifungal therapy,4 obtained CR,2 PR again and the other 3 didn't obtain remission. The effective rate of anti-fungal therapy was 66.67% and the pulmonary IFD-related mortality was 35.71%(5/14).There was no significant difference between amphotericin B,itraconazde and voriconazole for antifungal prophylaxis in patients with a history of pulmonary IFD(P=0.122).No risk and prognostic factors of the pulmonary IFD was identified by multivariable analyses. Conclusion Pulmonary was not an absolute contraindication for allo-HSCT,and patients with a history of pulmonary IFD had a higher relapse rate and transplant-related mortality after receiving allo-HSCT.
