Objective To investigate the nosocomial infection status in adult patients after cardiac surgery , who suffered cardiac shock and were supported with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO).Methods The data of this retrospec-tive analysis were collected from adult patients of postoperative cardiac shock supported with veno-arterial( VA) ECMO from January 2011 to December 2013 in the Center for Cardiac Intensive Care, Beijing Anzhen Hospital. Results 125 patients were enrolled and nosocomial infection occured in 44 patients(51 episodes), infection rate was 35.2% or 71.8 episodes per 1 000 ECMO day.Respiratory tract infection occured most(27.2%), and then bloodstream infection(12.8%).The infection increased in the extension of time. The cultivation of the phlegm and blood specimen showed that the major pathogens were gram-negative bacteria. The patients were divided into the infection and the non-infection groups, the incidence of remedially continuous renal replacement therapy were significantly higher in the infection group than that in the non-infection group and the duration of ECMO support, the lenth of postoperative hospital stay, and the lenth of ICU stay were significantly longer in the in-fection group than those in the non-infection group[40.9% vs.22.2%, P<0.05; (7.2 ±4.6) d vs.(4.9 ±2.1) d, P<0.01;(12.5 ±6.2) d vs.(9.1 ±4.9) d, P<0.01和24(13, 36) d vs.15(11,20) d, P<0.01; respectively].The pa-tients in the infection group had higher mortality compared with the patients in the non-infection group(53.5% vs.17.1%, P<0.01).Conclusion Nosocomial infection is one of the common complications of the ECMO treatment and affects the prognosis of patients. The strict aseptic technique and rational application of antibiotics may reduce the mortality .

To evaluate the differences of Ophiopogonjaponicus from different cultivations, the metabolomics based method was conducted to compare the effects of Hangmaidong and Chuanmaidong (Chinese name) on plasma endogenous metabolites of normal rats. Data were collected by ultra performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF/MS), and were analyzed by multivariate statistical method, such as Principal Component Analysis and Orthogonal Signal Correction Partial Least Square Discriminant Analysis. Results revealed that the plasma metabolites profiling of low and middle dose group of Chuanmaidong were similar to the control group, but different from the high dose group obviously. Meanwhile the high, middle and low dose groups of Hangmaidong were different from control group notably, and the difference is dose dependent. Lysophosphatidylcholines, the possible endogenous metabolites which contribute to the classification most significantly, are closely related to cardiovascular system diseases. Compared with the group of Chuanmaidong, Hangmaidong has greater impact on the plasma metabolic profiling of normal rats. Hangmaidong and Chuanmaidong showed significant differences pharmacodynamically.

In this study, the ITS2 sequence was used to identify Pinelliae Rhizoma and its adulterants to ensure its market circulation, clinical effect and safety. All genomic DNA from 59 samples were extracted successfully. The Kimura 2-Parameter (K2P) distances and NJ tree were calculated using software MEGA 6.0. The length of the ITS2 sequence of Pinelliae Rhizoma was 251 bp. The intraspecific genetic distance was smaller than the interspecific ones; The NJ tree indicated that Pinelliae Rhizoma distinguished from its adulterants obviously. The results showed that the ITS2 sequence can be used to distinguish Pinelliae Rhizoma from its adulterants accurately and stably.

Objective To explore the effect of intra-and post-operative administration of supplemental high concentration oxygen on abdominal clean-contaminated surgical wound infection. Methods From January 2001 to June 2005, 425 patients undergoing abdominal clean-contaminated operation were randomly divided into receive FiO2 60 % (n=213, study group) or FiO2 28 % (n=212, control group) inspired oxygen during the operation and two hours postoperatively. The partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood and the peripheral arterial oxygen saturation was were measured two hours after operation. During 15 postoperative days, the wounds that drained pus were considered infected. Results The results showed that the partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group (P

Shennongjia is well known as the national treasure of traditional Chinese medicine resources at home and abroad. In order to provide Shennongjia with better protection of traditional Chinese medicine and promote the sustainable utilization of its resources, based on the specific analysis of She nnongj ia′s conservation status and
available resources, we put forward primary strategies and specific measures for the sustainable utilization framework of Shennongjia traditional Chinese medicine resources, in view of resources conservation, development, utilization, as well as the resources administration.
