Objective To investigate hand hygiene status of health care workers (HCWs)in a hospital,and pro-vide guides for improving hand hygiene compliance.Methods Hand hygiene intervention was adopted in a hospital between 2012 and 2014,hand hygiene compliance among HCWs and healthcare-associated infection in patients be-tween August 1 and August 31 of each year were investigated and analyzed statistically.Results In 2102 -2014, hand hygiene compliance rate of HCWs was 59.55%,62.13%,and 65.16% respectively,which showed a increased trend (χ2 =10.018,P =0.002),HAI rate was 2.13%,1 .48% and 1 .06% respectively,which showed a decreased trend (χ2 =82.377,P <0.001 );hand hygiene compliance rate of doctors was lower than nurses (57.97% vs 65.97%);Of different hand hygiene moments,hand hygiene compliance rate was the lowest before touching a pa-tient(41 .32%),and highest after body fluid exposure (76.47%).Conclusion Comprehensive hand hygiene inter-vention in this hospital has achieved preliminary results,improvement of HCWs’hand compliance is helpful for pre-venting HAI.

Purpose:To study the effect of P14ARF gene on human glioma cell line (U 251) Methods:We transfected P14ARF gene into human malignant glioma cell line with liposomal transfection reagent, we assessed cell growth properties,cell cycle.Results:After successful transfection, the human malignant glioma cell line U 251 proliferation rate was slower. The cell cycle was suppressed at G 1 and G 2.Conclusions:The findings suggest that p14ARF gene may be able to inhibit the growth of glioma cell in vitro.

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with tuina in treating patients with cervical vertigo. ＜br> Methods: According to the principle of randomization, 258 cases with cervical vertigo who met the inclusion criteria for the study were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 129 cases in each. The patients in the observation group received acupuncture combined with tuina therapy, while those in the control group were just treated by the same acupuncture therapy as in the observation group. After 10-day continuous treatments, the clinical efficacies of the two groups were analyzed and compared. ＜br> Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 100%, versus 86.0% of the control group, and the difference was significant (P＜0.05). After treatment, cervical range of motion (ROM) scores in both groups were statistically significantly different from those before treatment (allP＜0.05); in addition, there was a statistically significant difference in inter-group comparison of ROM score (P＜0.05). ＜br> Conclusion: Compared with simple acupuncture treatment, acupuncture combined with tuina therapy has a better effect in improving the ROM of cervical vertigo patients, with higher clinical efficacy.

Evaluating the prevalence of kidney damage according to population-based studies in different communities has been limited in developing countries. We conducted a population-based screening study in Uygur people of Urumqi, aiming to identify the prevalence and associated risk factors of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Uygur populations. A total of 2576 residents (>18 years) from four districts of Urumqi were interviewed from June 2007 to January 2009 and tested for haematuria, albuminuria and reduced renal function. Associations between age, gender, smoking, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperuricaemia and kidney damage were examined. There were 2576 subjects enrolled in this study. After age correction, the prevalence of albuminuria, haematuria and reduced estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was 3.58%, 2.26% and 1.03%, respectively. Approximately 5.65% of the sample population had at least one indicator of kidney damage. Age, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesteremia, hyperuricaemia and hyperlipidaemia were independently associated with CKD. In the general Uygur adult population from Urumqi, 5.65% had either proteinuria, haematuria or reduced eGFR, indicating the presence of kidney damage, with an awareness of only 1.05%. The high prevalence and low awareness of CKD in this population suggest an urgent need for CKD prevention programs in Uygur people.

Objective To explore and compare the clinical efficacy of levetiracetam tablets and compound sodium valproate sustained release tablets in the treatment of children and adolescents with epilepsy.Methods From April 2017 to April 2018,80 children and adolescents with epilepsy treated in Chaonan Minsheng Hospital of Shantou were selected as study objects,and they were randomly divided into two groups by drawing lots,with 40 cases in each group.The observation group was given levetiracetam tablets,and the control group was treated with valproate.The improvement of EEG after therapy,the total effective rate,and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed and evaluated.Results The EEG improvement rates after treatment for 6 months in the observation group and control group were 41.17％,45.71％,respectively,the difference was not statistically significant(x2 =0.508,P ＞0.05).The EEG improvement rates after treatment for 9 months in the observation group and control group were 70.58％,74.28％,respectively,the difference was not statistically significant (x2 =0.225,P ＞ 0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was 92.50％,which was 95.00％ in the control group,the difference was not statistically significant between the two groups (x2 =0.354,P ＞ 0.05).However,the incidence rate of adverse reactions of the observation group(22.50％) was significantly lower than that of the control group(45.00％)(x2 =6.864,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Both levetiracetam tablets and compound sodium valproate sustained release tablets have appreciable efficacy and safety in the treatment of epilepsy in children and adolescents,but levetiracetam therapy has less adverse reactions,which deserves further promotion in monotherapy of epilepsy in children and adolescents.

Objective To study the effects and security of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells transPlantation (UC-MSCs) for Patients with refractory systemic luPus erythematosus(SLE). Methods Forty Patients with refractory SLE were divided into two grouPs at random.All of Patients were treated for glucocorticoid and CTX, then Patients of the 2 grouP were transPlanted for UC-MSCs.All of Patients were observed before and 2 weeks after treatment,1 month,2 months,3 months,6 months,9 months and 12 months of clinical manifestations and laboratory Parameters . Results 2 weeks after treatment, 60%of the 1 grouP were SLEDAI<10 scores, and the 2 grouPs were 90%. There was statistically significant difference between the two grouPs (χ2=7.619, P=0.006). 1 year after treatment, PLT,ALB and C3 of the 2 grouPs were more than the 1 grouPs(P<0.05). SLEDAI,U-Pro,ESR and Hs-CRP of the 1 grouPs were more than the 2 grouPs(P<0.05). WBC,Cr and C4 of the two grouPs had not statistically significant difference(P﹥0.05). The recurrence rate of the 1 grouPs was 45%. Of the 2 grouPs was 15%.There was statistically significant difference between the two grouPs (χ2=4.286, P=0.038). Conclusion It is effective and safe for refractory SLE to transPlant UC-MSCs after using glucocorticoid and CTX. Further observation is required to evaluate long term efficacy and adverse reaction of UC-MSCs.

Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of synthetic MRI methods in the differentiation of benign and malignant breast lesions.Methods:Clinical and imaging data of 93 breast patients confirmed by pathology in the Second Affifiliated Hospital of Xi′an Jiaotong University from May 2019 to April 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. All patients underwent synthetic MRI technique, and the quantitative parameters of T 1, T 2, and proton density (PD) values were measured. Independent samples t-test and Wilcoxon test were used to compare the differences in clinical and imaging characteristics between the benign and malignant breast lesions. ROC curve was used for the comparison of the diagnostic efficacy of the quantitative parameters in differentiating malignant from benign breast lesions. Results:Of the 93 patients with breast lesions, 62 cases were malignant and 31 cases were benign. The quantitative T 2 values for benign and malignant lesions were 103 (93, 126)ms and 83 (77, 90)ms respectively, and the quantitative PD values were 87.7 (72.7, 96.7)pu and 73.5(63.3, 79.4)pu respectively. There were statistically significant differences between benign and malignant lesion( P<0.05). Taking quantitative T 2 values of 90.5 ms and PD values of 84.8 pu as the cut-off value, the area under the ROC curve in differentiating benign from malignant breast lesions were 0.87 and 0.75, accuracy values were 80.6% and 78.5%, specificity values were 87.1% and 54.8%, sensitivity values were 77.4% and 90.3% respectively. Conclusion:Synthetic MRI methods can be applied in the examination of breast lesions and has the potential to be an effective diagnostic method for the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant lesions of breast.

Objective To investigate the relationships between expressions of HPV and EBV in larynge-al carcinoma. Methods DNA flow-through hybridization and gene chip genotyping technology(HybriMax)and real-time quantitative PCR were used for 37 subtypes of HPV detection and quantitative detection of EBV in 101 cases of laryngeal cancer paraffin embedded tissue specimens. 43 cases of vocal cord polyp of paraffin embedded tissue specimens were used as the controls. Results The positive rate of laryngeal carcinoma was 13.86% in group HPV and 9.3% in the control group ,with no statistically significant difference between the positive expres-sions of HPV in the laryngeal carcinoma group and control group(P>0.05). The positive rate of laryngeal carci-noma was 63.37% and 13.95%,respectively ,in group EBV ,and the control group ,with significant difference between them(P < 0.05). In respect of the positive rate by comparing differently differentiated EBV in laryngeal carcinoma ,there was no significant difference in the positive expression of EBV in well differentiated and differen-tiated laryngeal carcinoma(P>0.05),but the difference was statistically significant in highly differentiated EBV as compared with those with low differentiation type,medium differentiation and poor differentiation(P < 0.05). There was no significant difference between the groups in view of sex ,age and course of disease in the patients (P > 0.05). Conclusions The incidence of laryngeal carcinoma is closely related with EBV infection ,possibly relationed with HPV and high-risk subtypes of HPV have a certain role in the process of induced laryngeal carcino-ma. The gender ,age and duration of disease have no significant correlation with EBV infection. This study will provide a basis for further invesgitation of pathogenesis of laryngeal cancer and prevention and treatment of larynge-al cancer.

Objective To explore and analyze the on-site investigation of hand,foot and mouth disease (HFMD) silent infection among medical staffs and children families,so as to provide evidence for the prevention of HFMD.Methods Totals of 42 medical staffs,who worked at HFMD ward,and 101 family members,who had children with HFMD,had been selected to take throat swab and stool samples during the period of HFMD outbreak from March to June 2013.According to the close degree of contact,the family members were divided into intimate contact group and non close contact group.All samples qualitatively classified through universal enterovirus type (UE),enterovirus 71 type (EV71),Coxsackie virus A group 16 type (CA16) to judge weather HFMD was silent infection or not.Results All 42 medical staffs presented negative for samples,but 25 cases of family members (24.75％) showed positive UE,22 cases positive EV71 (21.78％),3 cases other positive enterovirus type (2.97％),no positive CA16.The throat swap positive EV rate of HFMD children family members reached 3.45％,EV positive rate of stool samples 33.33％ (x2 =9.913,P ＜ 0.01);the positive EV71 rate for throat swap was 3.45％,stool samples 29.17％ (x2 =8.028,P ＜0.01).The EV and EV71 positive rate and for family members in the non close contact group were 23.40％ (11/47) and 23.40％ (11/47) compared 25.93％ (14/54) and 20.37％ (11/54) for family members in the close contact group.Conclusions When we understand the mechanism of transmission,we can improve the prevention of HFMD.It is worthy to popularize the measures such as the establishment of hospital infection prevention system,the increasing attention of disinfection and isolation,strengthening health education and awareness of medical staffs.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD)and risk factors in the adult population of Tianshan district in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Methods A total of 2131 residents from 4 communities in Tianshan district of Urumqi city were randomly selected using a stratified, multistage sampling. All the residents were interviewed and tested for morning spot urine of albumin to creatinine ratio (ACR) (abnormal ≥ 30 mg/g), morning spot urine dipstick of hematuria ( abnormal ＞3 red blood cells/HP or greater) and pyuria ( abnormal＞ 5 white blood cells/HP) confirmed by microscopy. Renal function was determined with abbreviated MDRD equation [reduced estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)＜60 ml ·min-1 ·(1.73 m2)-1]. The associations of kidney damage indicators with age, gender, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, income,education, cholesterol, triglyceride and smoking were examined. Results Eligible data of 2131 subjects were collected in the study. After the adjustment of age and gender component, the prevalence of albuminuria was found in 2.63％ (95％CI:1.78％-3.48％) of subjects, hematuria in 7.43％(95％CI:6.11％-8.75％) and reduced renal function in 1.72％(95％CI:1.08％-2.35％).Approximately 9.99％(95％CI:8.47％-11.55％) of subjects had at least one indicator of kidney damage. Multivariate logistic regression revealed that albuminuria, hematuria, age and hyperuricemia were independently associated with reduced renal function. Hematuria and reduced renal function were independently associated with albuminuria. Albuminuria, reduced renal function and female were independently associated with hematuria. Conclusion In urban adult population over 35 years old of Urumqi, a big city in western China, the prevalence of CKD is 9.99％, the recognition is 2.44％ and the risk factors of CKD are similar to those of other domestic big cities and western developed countries.
