Chinese Journal of Trauma 1993;0(06):-
With special biochemical methods, low—antigenic porcine bone matrix gelatin (PBMG) containing bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) and from which antigenic components were extracted was prepared. The article introduces the applied method and some experiences in treating fractures and bone defects with it. We believe that PBMG could improve fracture healing and replace autograft.

[Objective]To report the treatment and outcome of treatment of discoid lateral meniscal tear by arthroscopic surgery.[Method]During the period between Jan.1999 and Jun.2005,77 patients suffered from discoid lateral meniscal tear have been treated by arthroscopic surgery in Xijing Hospital. The standard arthroscopic portals (anteromedial and anterolateral)were used.Lateral menisci were totally removed in the 21 patients (29.2%) of total 77 cases, whereas lateral menisci of 13 patients (18.1%) were removed partially and meniscus-plasty was applied in 38 patients (52.8%).Thirty-nine (54.2%) of 77 patients were males, and 33 (45.8%) females.Their average age was 29.4?10.9 years (range 8~51 year).Five patients were lost in follow-up.The mean follow-up period of the rest 72 patients was 26.2 ?9.3 months (range 12~44 months). The patients were assessed pre-operationally and post-operationally by the Lysholm score. Moreover, the results of Lysholm score were analyzed by student-t test.[Result]All patients had progress in pain, swelling, range of motion and knee function. No complication, which included intraarticular infection, iatrogenic injury, fibroarthritis or loss of range of motion, was found.Lysholm score was 66.8?5.2 in average (range from 50 to 78) before operation, whereas it improved to 96.4?3.6 in average (range from 85 to 100) after operation.According to student-t analysis, very significant statistical difference was found between the pre-operative and post-operative results (t=34.7,P

Objective To compare activity efficiency of different activators on steady ClO2. Methods Muriatic acid, sodium bisulfate, oxalic acid, citric acid were selected as activator. Their activity rate of steady ClO2 was measured under different pH condition. Results With the decrease of pH,the activity rate of steady ClO2 increased. Activity of steady ClO2 needed acidic condition. The activity rate of ClO2 exceeded 80% under the condition of pH

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2016;32(7):889-893,894
Ischemic stroke, gravely affecting human health with its increasing incidence rate , is a common disease of old age . JAK/STAT way , a recently discovered signaling pathway , is not only widely involved in processes of cell growth ,differentiation, and apoptosis ,but also closely related to the pathophysiology of stroke. However, the pathway function and mechanism in ische-mic cerebral stroke has not yet been fully elucidated .We will review the role and mechanism of JAK/STAT signal transduction pathway in ischemic stroke ,and scientifically draw network chart between various related signal molecules in the process of ische-mic stroke neuropathy combining both domestic and foreign re-search reported in this paper , in order to better understand the pathological mechanism process of brain stroke , find new drugs for the treatment of cerebral ischemic diseases ,then provide more systematic scientific literature support .

[Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture (EA) for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). [Methods] One hundred and eight cases were randomized into two groups. Sixty NASH patients in EA group (group A) were treated by EA on Fenglong point with needie retaining for 10 min, once per day, breaking for one day after a 6-day treatment and repeating the treatment in the following weeks. Forty-eight in positive control group (group B) were given glucrolactone 0.2 g, tid and atorvastatin Tablets 10 mg, qd for 8 weeks. The therapeutic effect in the two groups was evaluated after treatment and the parameters of hepatic function, blood lipid and hepatic fibrosis, as well as the adverse reaction were observed before and after treatment. [Results] The total effective rate was 91.70% in EA group and 83.30% in the positive control group, the difference being significant (P

ObjectiveTo design multi-adaptive filter based on radial basis function (MAF-RBF) for efficiently extracting somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) in real-time SEP monitoring.MethodsWith the optimization of important parameters that influence the performance of radial basis function neural network, the performance of extracting SEP was compared to that of a multi-adaptive filter (MAF),which developed from the combination of well-developed adaptive noise canceller and adaptive signal enhancer.ResultsIn this simulation study, the outputs of MAF-RBF showed a similar waveform with SEP template signals, and a smoother waveform than the.output of MAF.ConclusionWith appropriate parameter values,MAF-RBFNN is able to extract the latency and amplitude of SEP from the extremely noisy background rapidly and reliably without averaging.

International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2011;34(2):107-110
Objective The aim of this study was to observe the outcome and evaluate the clinical efficacy of pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) on pain management in patients with osteoporosis.MethodsA total of 58 patients with osteoporosis were treated with PEMF stimulation.Pains as main indicators of their symptom were evaluated before and after treatments. The clinical outcomes were assessed by observing the visual analogue scale (VAS).Statistical analysis was carried out to support the data. Results After PEMF treatment, the patients exhibited significant pain relief from mean VAS of 6.97±1.83 to 3.36±1.69(t-test,P<0.05 ).Of the 58 patients,28 obtained significant symptom alleviation and 18 obtained moderate symptom alleviation, while 8 obtained slight alleviation, indicating the total clinical efficacy of 93%(54/58).Conclusion The current study provides the clinical outcomes indicating that PEMF may help to release the pain from primary osteoporosis and it might be an applicable supplementary treatment method for the osteoporosis related pain.
