Objective To explore the mechanism of the renal artery angioplasty applied in hypertension with renal atherosclerosis. Methods Acording to the result of the renal artery angiography, 98 patients were divided to 3 groups. The renin activity and the angiotensin in the therapy groups were measured before and after the angioplasty and the datas were compared among 3 groups. Results After the angioplasty, the renin activity and the angiotensin significantly decreased in the therapy groups (P<0.01). The blood pressure and the creatinine decresed a month later. Conclusion The renal angioplasty can decrease the blood pressure and instantly decrease the renin activity and the angiotensin of the renal vein in hypertension with renal atherosclerosis.

Objective To detect the effects of Yunnan Baiyao on receptor activator of NF-κB(RANK)/receptor activator of NF-κB ligand(RANKL)/osteoprotegerin(OPG) system by means of animal model that use Porphyromonas gingivalis(Pg) induce cal-varial to induce bone destroy .Methods Seventy-two male Kunming mouses were selected and randomly divided into model group , Yunnan Baiyao treatment group and control group .The animals of model group and Yunnan Baiyao treatment group were inoculated Pg at the midline of the scalp between the ears and the animals of the Yunnan Baiyao treatment group gastric perfusion Yunnan Baiyao after them inoculated Pg .Mouses were killed at 5 ,8 and 14 days after inoculation .For each data point ,killed eight mice(n=8) ,then detected the number of osteoclast of the calvaria and the change of RANKL mRNA ,OPGm RNA express .Results On the 5th ,8th and 14th day the number of osteoclast and the content of RANKL mRNA expression in the model group apparently higher than in the Yunnan Baiyao treatment group(P<0 .05) ,two groups also apparently higher than in the control group(P<0 .05) .A-bout OPG mRNA expression on the 5th ,8th and 14th day in the Yunnan Baiyao treatment group apparently higher than in the con-trol group and model group(P<0 .05) ,but on the 5th day the model group lower than the control group(P<0 .05) and on the 8th , 14 day the model group higher than the control group(P<0 .05) .Conclusion Yunnan Baiyao can cut regulation RANKL mRNA expression and raise regulation OPG mRNA expression to inhibit bone destruction and improve bone repair and inhibiting osteoclast product so as to inhibit bone destroy and improve bone repair .

Objective To compare the appfication of rapid sequence induce nasotracheal intobation with awake nasotracheal intubation with fiberoptic bronchoscope (FOB) in patients with cervical vertebra injury.Methods Forty patients with cervical vertebra injury were randomly divided into group (rapid sequence induce nasotracheal intubation with FOB) and group II (awake nasotracheal intubation with FOB),20 patients in each group.Bp,HR,SpO2 before and during intubation,intubafion time and cases of re-intubation were observed.Results SpO2 maintained normal during intubation.Between group I and group II,there was no significance in intubation lime [(3.12±0.52)min and (3.34±0.65)mini and cases of re-intubafion (2 cases and 1 case) (P ＞ 0.05 ).During intubation,MAP and HR inceased significantly in group II than those in group I (P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion The application of rapid sequence induce nasotracheal intubation with FOB is better than awake nasotracheal intubation with FOB in patients with cervical vertebra injury,it is safe and valid.

Objective To explore the changes of rabbit adipose stem cells(ASCs)and bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)cultured in vitro and the anabolism under basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF).Methods BMSCs and ASCs were cultured with DMEM,DMEM/F12(2∶1)or α-MEM respectively.The 3rd generation ASCs and BMSCs were divided into 2 groups respectively:group A:ASCs cultured in chondrogenic medium(CM),group B:ASCs cultured in CM supplemented with bFGF 5 ng/ml,group C:BMSCs cultured in CM,group D:BMSCs cultured in CM supplemented with bFGF 5 ng/ml.Morphological changes were observed under inverted microscope.The 35SO42-incorporation and total hydroxyproline were measured.Results BMSCs and ASCs showed much higher growth rate when cultured in α-MEM medium comparison with that in DMEM or in DMEM/F12(2:1).Both stem cells attachment cultured in monolayer greatly increased and cell clones were abundant,while the cells attachment became rather difficult and cell clones were less after cutured in CM.All stem cells possessed a round-like morphology,and the cells in group B and D were more than that in the other 2 groups.The 35SO42-incorporation and total hydroxyproline synthesis of group B or D increased compared with that of group A or C,but there was no diference between group D and B.Conclusion The rabbit ASCs and BMSCs cultured in CM suppling with bFGF grow well and their metabolism increased.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between NT-probrain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels and the degree of coronary artery stenosis in elderly patients with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndromes (NST-ACS).Methods The levels of NT-proBNP were determined in 258 elderly patients with NST-ACS divided into 3 quartile groups based on the degree of coronary artery stenosis,and 62 normal controls.And NT-pro BNP were compared among 4 groups.Results The serum levels of NT proBNP were increased in the NST-ACS patients with single,two or three-artery lesion compared with normal controls [(197.3±80.2)ng/L,(381.7±73.5)ng/L,(496.5± 99.8) ng/L vs.(68.2 ± 36.1) ng/L].The level of NT proBNP was enhanced along with increasing severity coronary artery disease (all P＜0.01).And with aging,the NT-proBNP levels were rising [aged＞60-69 years:(182.34±69.13) ng/L; aged≥70-79 years:(302.68±87.51)ng/L; aged≥80 years:(482.09±82.2)ng/L] (all P＜0.01).Conclusions The NT-proBNP level is enhanced along with aging and increasing severity of coronary artery stenosis in elderly NST-ACS patients.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of Lipo-prostaglandin E1 (LipoPGE1) in the treatment of non-ST segment elevation acute myocardial infarction (NSTEAMI).Methods A total of 86 patients with NSTEAMI were randomly and equally divided into LipoPGE1 group (n= 43) which received intravenous LipoPGE1 combined with low-molecular-weight heparin,aspirin, clopidogrel and other basic therapy, and the control group (n=43) which received placebo combined with the same therapy. The basic clinical settings, curative effect, main adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) within 30 days including sudden death, new-onset myocardial infarction and target vessel revascularization, bleeding complications and drug adverse effects were observed. Results There were no significant differences in basic clinical characteristics between the two groups. Compared with control group, the patients in LipoPGE1 group showed. significant improvements of ECG (93.0% vs. 74.4%), angina (95.3% vs. 81.4%, both P＜0. 05), the incidences of left heart failure (2.3% vs. 14.0%) and MACEs within 30 days (4.7% vs.18.6%)(both P＜0.05). There were no serious drug adverse effects. Conclusions The LipoPGE1 combined with heparin, aspirin and clopidogrel is effective and safe in the treatment of NSTEAMI,which could improve the clinical symptoms, distal myocardium perfusion and cardiac function,decrease the incidence of MACEs.

Objective To investigate the fear and attitude of the common people to some threatening diseases .Methods Accord-ing to the age and sex structure of the whole nation ,500 common people were randomly enrolled in the public places of Chongqing main urban area .Firstly ,the respondents were asked to name three diseases they feared most .Then their fear degrees to eight im-portant diseases were performed the questionnaire survey .Results The top ten diseases that common people fear most by their own words were cancer ,AIDS ,heart disease ,hypertension ,stroke ,leukemia ,chronic liver diseases ,diabetes mellitus ,dementia and de-pression successively .Meanwhile ,their fear to the eight important diseases ,which was determined by the ratio of people who did fear to all ,were cancer(94 .2% ) ,traffic accidents(89 .2% ) ,heart disease(85 .0% ) ,AIDS(79 .4% ) ,tuberculosis(76 .8% ) ,hepatitis B(76 .6% ) ,Alzheimer′s disease(73 .4% ) and depression(69 .0% ) .Further analysis showed that such fear was significantly influ-enced by age ,sex and education level .Conclusion The knowledge and perception of common people about certain diseases is one-si-ded ,and their health awareness should be improved .

Objective To investigate the clinical value of the gated blood pool imaging phase analysis method in the evaluation of left ventricular mechanical synchronization in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods A total of 169 patients with chronic heart failure were enrolled in our study , using gated blood pool imaging phase analysis method to obtain left ventricular phase angle width ( PHB) and left ventricular phase angle standard deviation ( PSD) as evaluating left ventricular mechanical synchrony index; using tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) measurement of the standard deviation of systolic peak time(Ts-SD) of each segment by using the current prevailing 12 non-apical segments analysis method as evaluating left ventricular mechanical synchrony index, and parameters derived from both methods were compared. Results LVPHB was highly correlated with Ts-SD (r = 0. 83 ,P = 0. 000 ) . LVPSD was modestly correlated with Ts-SD ( r - 0. 69, P = 0. 000) . The ejection fraction measured by echocardiography was (42.93 ± 14. 89) % ,which was significantly higher than that measured by ERNA (39. 76 ± 17. 89)% (P <0. 01). Conclusions The evaluation of left ventricular mechanical synchrony in patients with chronic heart failure by the gated blood pool imaging can provide similar information with TDI, which can simultaneously measure two ventricular functions and get more accurate measurement of ejection fraction. Cardiac resynchronization therapy patients can be identified by combining two kinds of approaches, and cardiac resynchronization therapy responders could be improved as well. More patients with heart failure can benefit from cardiac resynchronization therapy therapy.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of serum containing Scutellaria Barbata extract (ESB) on apoptosis rate and mitochondrial transmembrane potential (MTP) of liver cancer cell line H22 from mice in vitro. METHODS: H22 cells were cultured in vitro and divided into 5 groups: blank control group, low-dose ESB group, medium-dose ESB group, high-dose ESB group and fluorouracil (5-Fu) group. Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay was utilized to determine the proliferation rates of H22 cells. Cellular morphology was observed under a transmission electron microscope (EM). The rhodamine 123 was used as a fluorescence probe to label the H22 cells, and the fluorescence intensities were observed with a laser scanning confocal microscope. The fluorescence intensity of H22 cells indicated the MTP of H22 cells. RESULTS: The inhibition of serum containing ESB on the proliferation of H22 cells in vitro was observed in a time-dependent manner. The typical morphological changes of apoptosis were observed after incubation with ESB-containing serum in high dose for 48h. The apoptosis rates of blank control group, 5-Fu group, low-dose ESB group, medium-dose ESB group and high-dose ESB group were (0.51+/-0.32)%, (11.26+/-2.97)%, (1.07+/-0.46)%, (3.15+/-1.12)%, (7.83+/-2.25)% respectively. ESB could reduce the MTP of H22 cells from mice as compared with the untreated group. The MTPs of the blank control group, 5-Fu group, and low-, medium- and high-dose ESB groups were (245.45+/-67.37), (127.42+/-41.35), (213.68+/-65.52), (186.34+/-56.37) and (142.65+/-39.44) respectively, which were negatively correlated with the apoptosis rates. CONCLUSION: ESB-containing serum effectively induces apoptosis, which may be related to the decrease of MTP in H22 cells.
