Objective To study the method, advantage and shortcoming of mini-laparoscopic treatment for indirect inguinal hemia in children. Methods 136 cases with indirect inguinal hernia(right:75cases,left:44 cases,bilateral:17 cases) had been treated by high ligation with mini-laparoscopy. Results The mean operation time was 10 mmin for unilateral hernia and 23 mmin for bilateral hernia. Among 119 cases with unilateral hernia,38 cases had been found with contralateral latent hernia. The mean of postoperative inhospital stay were about 1 ~ 2 day(s). All patients had been followed-up for 3 ~ 12 months, there were only 2 cases recurrence found but no complications was detected. Conclusion Mini-laparoscopic high ligation for indirect inguinal hernia in children is a single, safe, satisfactory, effective, and minimally invasive surgical method.

Objective To assess the reliability and validity of summary of diabetes self-care activities for type 2 diabetes patients in China. Methods We selected 80 patients with type 2 diabetes to carry out our investigation and chose 10 of them to retest 2 weeks later. Results The general Cronbach's α was 0.62 with a reliability coefficient of 0.83(P<0.01).We got 8 factors with an accumulation contribution of 0.92 by main-ingredient and variance analysis. The factor loading was more than 0.80. Conclusion The Chinese version of SDSCA had good reliability and validity to evaluate the self-care activities of type 2 diabetes patients.

ObjectiveTo discuss the clinical characteristics and therapeutic strategy of acute epidural hematoma(EDH) with mixed density on CT.MethodsThe clinical data of 45 patients with acute EDH with mixed density on the first CT after trauma were analyzed retrospectively.Acute EDH form trauma with mixed density on CT images were compared with those which had homogenesis density on CT images at the same time.ResultsThe opportunity of increasing size of hematoma and the mortality was significantly higher in mixed density hematoma( 82.1%,16.2% )than that of homogenesis density( 17.7%,2.3% ) ( all P < 0.01 ).ConclusionEDH with mixed density was a hyperacute EDH.The operation for acute EDH from trauma with mixed density on CT image should be prompt.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2021;29(4):249-253
Objective:
The use and effect of nitrous oxide sedation techniques in oral clinics were analyzed retrospectively.
Methods:
Patients who were treated with nitrous oxide inhalation sedation in the clinic of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from January 1, 2016, to December 30, 2018, were examined. Age and gender of the patients, dental treatments involved, reasons for nitrous oxide inhalation, sedative effects and adverse reactions were compiled.
Results :
A total of 1 429 cases were examined, comprising 587 males and 842 females, and the average age was 32.64±16.34 years old. Among the patients who underwent nitrous oxide inhalation sedation in the oral clinic, 79.98% needed tooth extraction, and 79.50% had a dental fear of procedures. The patients were divided into following 7 age groups: 5-15 years old, 16-25 years old, 26-35 years old, 36-45 years old, 46-55 years old, 56-65 years old and > 65 years old. The sedation satisfaction rate of the 5-15-year-old group was 45.71%, and the sedation satisfaction rate of the other 6 age groups was 90.83%- 96.20% (P < 0.001). The incidence of total adverse reactions was 5.39%; the incidence was higher in females than in males, and the incidence was higher in the 16-25 age group than in the other age groups (P < 0.05). The most frequent adverse reaction was vertigo (81.82%).
Conclusion
Among the four common oral outpatient treatment programs including the extraction of teeth, dental implants, pulp treatment and periodontal treatment, patients undergoing inhalation sedation of nitrous oxide in the dental extraction most. The most common reason for requiring sedation is dental fear, and the sedative effect of the 5-15-year-old group was significantly worse than that of the other age groups. The incidence of adverse reactions of nitrous oxide sedation was low and manageable.
