1.Inhibition of curcumin on proliferation of human osteosarcoma U-2OS cells
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2004;0(05):-
Objective To observe the inhibition of different concentrations of curcumin on cell growth, and explore the molecular mechanism of curcumin on human osteosarcoma. Methods Curcumin of different concentrations(0,10,20 and 40?mol/L) was administered to U-2OS cells of human osteosarcoma for 12h,24h and 48h,respectively.The proliferation of U-2OS cells was measured by MTT assay. Results Curcumin significantly inhibited the proliferation of PC-3 cells in vitro in concentration-and time-dependent manners. The higher the concentration of curcumin, the stronger the inhibition was(10?mol/L,20?mol/L,40?mol/L of r=-0.9638,-0.9778 and-0.9764,respectively,P

Objective To investigate the hypothesis that food allergy in infants may be associated with variation in their intestinal microflora. The formation of intestinal microflora in healthy infants and changes in food allergic infants were detected. Methods 16S rRNA gene sequences specific for bifidobacterium, lactobacillus and escherichia coli in fecal were quantitatively detected by real-time PCR. The three fecal floras were assessed in 71 healthy infants and 100 infants with food allergy. Results After birth, there were bifidobacteria colonized in infantile intestine, then the number increased rapidly up to 5 times at the sixth month, which was always the preponderant flora. Lactobacilli was also presented in infantile intestine 1 month after birth and augment gradually. The number of Escherichia coli was less than bifidobacteria and lactobacilli and appeared to decline during the early infants. The number of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in the infants with food allergy were markedly less than that in the healthy infants, but escherichia coli was significantly more than that in the healthy infants. Conclusions During the first year of life, the intestinal microflora in infants is in a developing process. Compared with the healthy infants, bifidobacteria and lactobacilli decrease, but escherichia coli increase in the food allergic infants. These results indicate that the probiotics may be benefit to the prevention and treatment of food allergy.

Mind map is an effective and intuitive knowledge organization and presentation tool which can help computer teaching commendably. We can use Mind Map to design and organize the whole teaching process, including preparing, designing, guiding, analyzing and reviewing. This way can turns tedious logic of computer teaching into imagery thinking and helps medical students improv-ing their learning effect of computer courses.

Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2015;(4):429-431
Objective To investigate the effect of multiple treatments on cystospasm after transurethral resection of prostate(TURP). Methods From 2006 to 2013, 663 patients who had received TURP for BPH were civided into 6 groups:2 were treated by kieselgel or lac-toprene urethral catheter, defined as catheter observe group. 2 were treated by warmed or ordinary temperature douche, defined as temperature observe group. 2 were treated by dicaine mixed or normal douche, defined as mixed douche observe group. The incidence rates and duration of cystospasm and visual analogue scores of pain were observed and the diversities were measured by statistics within each pair groups. Results The incidence rates and duration of cystospasm and visual analogue scores of pain of groups treated by kieselgel urethral catheter, warmed douche and dicaine mixed douche were obviously lower than the groups treated by lactoprene urethral catheter, ordinary temperature douche and normal douche. The kieselgel urethral catheter and warmed douche decreasing the irritation on mucous membrane of bladder, the dicaine decreasing the sensibility of bladder nerves may be the mechanism. Conclusion The incidence rates and duration of cystospasm and visual analogue scores of pain can be obviously decreased by treatments of kieselgel urethral catheter, warmed douche and dicaine mixed douche.

As a kind of mature non-invasive brain stimulation technology, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has shown sig-nificance in clinic. Recently, DCS has been applied over the scalp to the spinal cord, named transcutaneous spinal direct current stimulation (tsDCS), that may modulate the spinal cord tracts and spinal cord loop electrical activity at segmental level, and may benefit in the treatment of chronic pain and motor dysfunction after injury of nervous system. This paper reviewed physiological effects, safety considerations and potential clinical applications of tsDCS.

Objective To explore the expression of G protein inwardly rectifier potassium channels subunit 2(GIRK*!2) in hippocampus of temporal epileptic rat. Methods After temporal lobe epilepsy was induced by kainic acid (KA), we took advantage of in situ hybridization to investigate the altered expression of GIRK*!2 mRNA in rat hippocampus. Results GIRK*!2 mRNA significantly increased in epileptic rats dentate gyrus region compared with normal control( P

Journal of Clinical Neurology 2001;0(05):-
Objective To study the gene mutation characteristics of patients with spinocerebellar ataxias(SCA) in Ningxia region. Methods The SCA3/Machado-Joseph disease(MJD)trinucleotide CAG repeat number was detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR),capillary gel electrophoresis(CGE) and DNA sequencing in 6 patients with SCAs and 4 normal kindreds from a family in Ningxia region. Results All patients and 1 kindred were positive for SCA3/MJD;other 3 kindreds were negative for SCA3/MJD.The CAG repeat number was expanded to 66~81 in the patients with SCA3/MJD and a kindred, and 22~33 in other 3 kindreds. Conclusion There is SCA3/MJD in the patients with SCAs of Ningxia region.Gene examining has the great significance for definite diagnosis in the patients with SCAs.
