ObjectiveTo investigate sleep disorder of patients with depression and find out the regularity.Methods78 depression cases in the east-region of Shenyang were evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and mental health symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90). The results were contrasted with normal control group.Results63 depression cases (80%) had sleep disorder (PSQI scores≥8) and were significantly higher than normal control group. The PSQI evaluation showed that sleep quality, enter-sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorder, hypnotige drugs, function of daytime and total scores of PSQI of the depression group were significantly higher than that of normal control group (P<0.05～0.01). The SCL-90 test showed that scores of somatic, obsessive, depressive, anxiety, phobia, paranoid and mental-illness, etc. and total quota of bad-sleep quality group were significantly higher than that of the fine-sleep quality group (P<0.05～0.01).ConclusionDepression patients have significantly descent in sleep quality, latter is often closely related to the mental psychotic expressiveness of somatic, obsession, depression, anxiety, phobia, etc.

Objective: We tried to construct and screen the most effective expression vector of siRNA targeting HPV-E6 oncogene and investigate its long-term influence on HPV-E6 gene expression in cervical cancer cells. Our aim is to discuss the molecular mechanism of E6 gene in the development of cervical cancer and explore the new approach to prevention of HPV infection and saving patients with cervical cancer. Methods: HPV16-E6 siRNA was transfected into CaSki cells mediated by FuGene 6. The expression of HPV16-E6 was detected by western blot; the influence of HPV16-E6 siRNA on cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay; the effect of HPV16-E6 siRNA on cell cycle and apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry. Results: HPV16-E6 siRNA significantly inhibited HPV16-E6 expression, suppressed the proliferation and cell cycle progression, and induced apoptosis of CaSki cervical cancer cells. Conclusion: HPV16-E6 siRNA effectively inhibited cell proliferation, arrested cells at G0/G1 phase, and induced apoptosis in CaSki cells.

Objective To systematically review the efficiency of 18 F-FDG PET in glioma grading by using Meta-analysis. Methods Retrieval in PubMed and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI)was performed. Relevant papers concerning with glioma diagnoses with 18 F- FDG PET were selected. Paper quality was evaluated according to the standard of diagnostic test recommended by Cochrane Workshop. The data of glioma malignancy degree defined as semi-quantitatively and qualitatively were extracted from the papers. Meta-analysis was conducted with the Meta-Disc software to calculate pooled weighted sensitivity and specificity with 95% confidence interval (CI). Summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve was performed and the areas under the curve (AUC) were calculated. Results Seven hundred and fifty-three patients from 17 papers ( 16 in English, 1 in Chinese) were included. Two hundred and seventy-two patients from 11 papers were using semi-quantitative (tumor to cortex ratio, T/C; tumor to white matter ratio,T/W) method and 481 patients from 9 papers were using qualitative method (visual observation, some of the papers had 2 or more methods). After heterogeneity test was done, different effect models were selected. The pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) with 95% CI for T/C group was 0. 952 (95% CI: 0. 903 -0. 980), 0. 409 (95% CI: 0. 318-0. 504) and 11. 746 (95% CI:5. 368-25. 702) respectively. The pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity and DOR with 95% CI for T/W group was 0. 857 (95% CI: 0. 768-0. 922), 0. 538 (95% CI: 0. 431 -0. 642) and 22. 066 (95% CI:7. 077-68. 800) respectively. The pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR)with 95% CI for qualitative method was 0.810 (95%CI: 0.757-0.855), 0.870 (95%CI: 0. 819-0.911 ) and 15.282 (95% CI: 3. 716-62. 851 ) respectively. The AUC for T/C group, T/W group and qualitative method was 0.8604, 0. 8373 and 0. 8724 respectively. Conclusions Grading glioma by 18 F-FDG PET with semi-quantitative method may provide high diagnostic sensitivity. If qualitative method is used, the diagnostic specificity may be higher.

AIM:To explore and compare effect of coaxial micro-incision phacoemulsification and standard coaxial phacoemulsification in the treatment of cataract.
METHODS:A total of 88 patients(88 eyes) with senile cataract who underwent selective cataract ultrasonic emulsification resorption combined with intraocular lens implantation in the hospital from Aug. 2013 and Aug. 2015 were selected, they were divided randomly into the control group ( 44 cases, 38 cases completed, 6 cases dropped out ) and the observation group ( 44 cases, 40 cases completed, 4 cases dropped out ) . The control group received standard coaxial 3. 0mm small incision phacoemulsification, the observation group received coaxial 1. 8mm micro-incision phacoemulsification. All patients were combined with intraocular lens implantation. Intraoperative effective ultrasonic time, cumulative release energy, best corrected visual acuity before and after surgery in the two groups were recorded, corneal endothelium cell population, incision corneal thickness, percentage of cornea hexagon cell, corneal astigmatism changes before the operation, 1d, 7d, 30d after the operation were compared.
RESULTS: There was no significant difference in intraoperative effective ultrasonic time, cumulative release energy in the two groups(P>0. 05). There was no significant difference in postoperative best corrected visual acuity between the two groups(P>0. 05). Corneal endothelium cell population, percentage of cornea hexagon cell 1d, 7d, 30d after the operation in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before the treatment ( P < 0. 05 ), but there was no significant difference in the two groups ( P > 0. 05 ). Incision corneal thickness 30d after the operation in the observation group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0. 05). Degree of corneal astigmatism in the observation group 1d, 7d, and 30d after the operation were significantly lower than the control group (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Coaxial micro - incision phacoemulsification and standard coaxial phacoemulsification can improve visual acuity of cataract patients, but the former can reduce degree of corneal astigmatism.

The nuclear factor erythroid 2 related factor 2 (Nrf2) is a key protein of endogenous antioxidant defense systems in the body. In response to oxidative stress, Nrf2 translocates to nucleus and binds to antioxidant response elements (ARE), regulating the expression of a large amounts of antioxidant genes and maintaining a proper redox balance. The pathological processes of neurodegenerative diseases are associated with generation of reactive oxygen species, which cause oxidative stress. Oxidative stress plays a cardinal role in the onset and progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Nrf2-inducer compounds can reduce oxidant stress and have shown therapeutic efficacy in many neurodegenerative disease models. How to activate the Nrf2 signaling pathway effectively has been received much attention. Here we provided an overview of specific mechanism of Nrf2-ARE pathway and the protective effects of Nrf2 in different neurodegenerative diseases, and summarized the Nrf2 activators recently in preclinical study.

This study taking gestodene (GEST) as a model, investigated the factors affecting reservoir-type intravaginal ring (IVR)'s drug release. This paper reported a gestodene intravaginal ring of reservoir design, comprising a gestodene silicone elastomer core encased in a non-medicated silicone sheath, separately manufactured by reaction injection moulding at 80 degrees C and heating vulcanization at 130 degrees C is reported. The test investigated the factors affecting drug release through a single variable method, taking the drug release rates of 21 days as standards. When changing the thickness of the controlling sheath outside, the ratio of the first day of drug release and mean daily release (MDR), named the relatively burst effect, is closing to 1 with the thickness of controlling sheath increasing, while the 1.25 mm sheath corresponding to 1.04 controlled the burst release effectively; a positive correlation (r = 0.992 2) existed between the average drug release (Q/t) and drug loading (A) within a certain range. The C6-165 controlling sheath with high solubility of GEST is easier to achieve controlled release of the drug; GEST crystalline power is more effective to implement controlled release of drugs among difficent states of the drug. A 1/4 fractional segment core gives a relatively burst effect of 1.76, while the 1/1 and 1/2 are 1.93 and 1.87 separately, at the same drug loading, concluding that use of a fractional segment core would allow development of a suitable GEST reservoir IVR. In summary, GEST reservoir-type IVR could be adjusted by the thickness of controlling sheath, the loading of drug, the material properties of controlling sheath, the dispersion state of drug, the additive composition and structure of intravaginal ring, to control the drug release behavior and achieve the desired drug release rate.
