1.Advance in studies on effect of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma in relieving purgative activity of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(4):577-581
Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, as a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine, has been widely applied in clinic. Its major purgative constituent is anthraquinones, which are believed to be a toxic ingredient. Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma has been reputed as the best alexipharmic to moderate medicine natures. In this paper, the effect of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma in relieving purgative activity of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma was studied in two aspects--the boiling process and intestinal metabolism; Studies on combined administration of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma in recent years were summarized according to chemical constituent, intestinal flora, I/II phase metabolism and drug transport. However, the material basis and mechanism for their compatibility remain unclear, further studies will be made in the future.

Objective To analyze the allergens detection in asthmatic infants and young children. Methods The specific IgE test and allergens screening test were conducted in 243 infants and young children with whooping diseases including asthmatic bronchitis, asthmatic pneumonia and asthma by skin prick test and Pharmacia UniCAP test. Results 1. Food allergen was the allergen detection most frequently in infants(P = 0.03). The proportion of aeroallergens increased significantly with age (positive rate:67. 2%). Milk and egg white was the main food allergen detection in infants and young children, and the main aeroallergen detection was house dust mite. 2. The allergen - specific IgE test using UniCAP test system was more accurate than skin prick test. Conclusions The infants are more susceptible to food hypersensitivity; the increasing opportunity of aeroallergen exposure may lead to a higher prevalence of aeroallergens in young children. UniCAP system is more accurate than other methods.

China Pharmacy 2007;0(30):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the action mechanism of the self-made Wuhuang tang(Chinese medicine)in the treatment of type Ⅲ prostatitis(chronic nonbacterial prostatitis,CNBP)so as to promote the action mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine to the molecular level.METHODS:90 patients with CNBP were divided into two groups(n=45 each):one group received western medicine alone, another group received integrated Chinese and western medicine(ICWM)(Wuhuangtang plus western medicine). The indicators such as the expressed prostatic secretions(EPS)routine,IL-1?,and TNF-? before and after the treatment were analyzed statistically.RESULTS:The levels of IL-1? and TNF-? in ICWM-treated group decreased significantly and the clinical symptoms of these patients improved significantly as compared with those treated with western medicine alone.CONCLUSION:The self-made Wuhuang tang can markedly alleviate the symptoms of CNBP patients and decrease levels of IL-1? and TNF-? in patients' EPS,thus it is an effective clinical empirical prescription for CNBP.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(03):-
Objective:To explore the role of nuclear transcription factor and the effect of nasal tolerance on EAN.Methods:75 male Wistar rats were divided into five groups: Group NS, EAN, EANL, EANM, EANH. The expression of IFN-?, TGF-?1, IL-10 mRNA and P65 protein were detected in spleen by using of RT-PCR and western blot. Results:The expression of IFN-? mRNA were the highest at early phase, those of TGF-?1 and IL-10 augmented significantly at recovery phase. In Group EANM and EANH, the severity of clinical signs and the infiltration of inflammatory cells decreased. IFN-? mRNA and P65 protein expression was lower than that in Group EAN, however, IL-10 and TGF-?1 mRNA increased markedly. At the same time, the expression of P65 protein were positively correlated with those of IFN-? mRNA, negatively correlated with those of TGF-?1 and IL-10 mRNA.Conclusion:NF-?B may play a vital role in EAN. Nasal administration of antigen may effectively prevent Wistar rat from inducing EAN in some degree, which may associate with the inhibition of NF-?B.

Objective To investigate the changes of expressions of axon guidance molecule Sema3F and its receptor Np2 in hippocampus of temporal lobe epilepsy(TLE)rat. Methods Rats were injected with Lithium-chloride,Pilocarpine intraperitoneally to establish TLE model. The Sema3F mRNA,Np2 mRNA and protein in areas CA1,CA3 and dentate gyrus(DG)of hippocampus at different time were detected by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization for TLE models.Further, they were compared with normal control group. Results Compared with normal control group, the expressions of Sema3F mRNA,Np2 mRNA and protein in areas CA1,CA3 significantly decreased(P

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1988;0(02):-
Objective To explore clinical and cytological features of CSF in meningeal carcinomatosis. Methods The data of clinic, imaging, and cerebrospinal fluid in 44 cases with meningeal carcinomatosis were analyzed retrospectively. Results 31 cases appeared headache or notalgia, 18 cases had cranial nerve lesions, 25 cases showed meningeal irritation sign. MRI enhancement scanning found abnormally diffused piamater enhancement in 3 cases. Cerebrospinal fluid pressure of 32 cases increased, cell population of CSF increased in 41 cases and the most cells were activated monocytes and lymphocytes. All the 44 cases found tumor cells in cytological examination of CSF. 5 cases were intracalvarial primartumors, and the others were metastatic tumors. Cytologic classification showed adenocarcinoma of 33 cases, malignant lymphoma of 3 cases, undifferentiated carcinoma of 2 cases and squamous cell carcinoma of 1 case. Conclusions The clinical manifestations and imaging results of meningeal carcinomatosis lack specificity, and cytological examination of CSF is a reliable diagnosing method for this disease.
