Objective To study the method of development of PHT PB resistant amygdala kindled rats. Methods By examining the effects of the antiepileptic drugs PHT and PB in a group of rapidly kindled rats, the 40 animals with different sensitivity to these drugs were selected. Then using immunohistochemistry method to determinate the expression of PGP in the brain of the rats. Results Using determination of the after discharge threshold for evaluation of PHT′s and PB′s anticonvulsant effects, 6 animals showed no increase in their ADT at repeated test trials with PHT or PB (from PHT PB resistant rats), and 6 animals exhibited reproducible increase in ADT about 100% after injection of PHT or PB (from PHT PB nonresistant rats). The immunohisto chemistry for P glycoprotein showed increased staining in capillary endothelium in the samples from PHT PB resistant rats as compared with staining in PHT PB nonresistant rats,in extensive fields of bilateral cerebral hemispheres ( P

International Eye Science 2017;17(9):1678-1681
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataract are the most common causes of low vision worldwide.Nowadays, there is still a controversy about whether cataract surgery should be taken in patients combined with AMD and when should the surgery be taken. The aim of this review is to assess the influence of cataract surgery on the occurrence and development of AMD, to analyze the risk factors, to explore the occasion of cataract surgery in patients with AMD, and joint with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment, also including the development and application of intraocular lens.It helps to avoid and postpone the development and progression of macular degeneration after cataract surgery and get good visual outcome.

International Eye Science 2014;(8):1502-1503
AIM: To study the clinical characteristics of corneal perforation ( CP) .
METHODS:A retrospective analysis in July 1995 to July 2010 the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University diagnosed CP 72 patients ( 72 eyes ) , clinical characteristics of all the patients were analyzed.
RESULTS: The incidence of corneal ulcer perforation rised year by year, the morbidity of male and female was 17:7, the onset age focused on 48 years old. Of 23 industrial workers ( 32%) with clear history of trauma, pathogeny identification results:top two:fungal infection and Acanthamoeba keratitis. A using history of glucocorticoid was found in 10 cases.
CONCLUSION:There are plenty of primary causes of CP such as traumas, fungal infection, Acanthamoeba keratitis, eroded keratitis, etc. CP happens in middle-aged males in Fujian province, most traumas are the causes, the main pathogenic bacteria is fungal infection.

Objective To investigate the effect of chymase on the proliferation of rat cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) and the role of transforming growth factor-?1 (TGF-?_1).Methods Cultured CFs of neonatal SD rats were isolated by trypsinization.Cell number and DNA synthesis were evaluated by MTT assay (A_(490) value) and [~3H]-deoxythy- midine [~3H]-TdR incorporation. The mRNA expression of TGF-?_1 in CFs was determined by RT-PCR.Results Chymase increased CFs numbers and [~3H]-TdR incorporation in a dose-dependent manner. The A_(490) value of CFs stimulated by 15,30 and 60 ng/mL chymase was 0.263?0.033,0.348?0.031 and 0.387?0.026,respectively, which were all significantly higher than that of control (0.201?0.019,P

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2014;30(4):253-256
OBJECTIVE:
To test cathepsin L as a biomarker of myocardial ischemia by examination of cathepsin L expression in plasma after myocardial ischemia and ischemia-reperfusion in rats.
METHODS:
The rat models were established and divided in acute myocardial ischemia model (myocardial ischemia 30 min, 1 h, 2 h groups), ischemia-reperfusion model (ischemia-reperfusion group), and isoflurane-pretreated ischemia-reperfusion model (isoflurane-pretreated group), respectively. Normal control group and sham-operated group were established as contrast. The contents of cathepsin L in plasma were examined by ELISA and myocardial infarction areas were measured after TTC staining.
RESULTS:
No statistical significant changes were found among the experimental groups compared with the normal control group and sham-operated group (P>0.05). The cathepsin L from the ischemia-reperfusion group increased to 2.37 times compared with the normal control group (P<0.05). The cathepsin L and myocardium infarction size of isoflurane-pretreated group decreased compared with the ischemia-reperfusion group (P<0.05).
CONCLUSION
The cathepsin L in plasma is not a promising biomarker of acute myocardial ischemia. Isoflurane preconditioning can reduce the cathepsin L in plasma caused by ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2010;26(1):15-19
Objective: To further understand the role of folic acid supplements rivaling MTHFR gene silencing in pathogenesis of NCLP, RNA interference (RNAi) was applied to knock down MTHFR in mouse embryonic palatal mesenchymal (EPM) cells. Methods: MTHFR ShRNA expression vector were transfected into the primary cultured EPM cells. MTT was used to observe cell proliferation after MTHFR gene silencing. FCM was used to observe cell cycle after MTHFR gene silencing. Results: The results showed the cells proliferation had an inequality amelioration after using folic acid supplements in MEPM cells with MTHFR gene silencing. Using folic acid supplements rivaled the effect of MTHFR gene silencing had a dose-dependent manner. Using 20 μg/ml folic acid supplements could improve the cell proliferation to achieve normal level of cell proliferation. Conclusion: MTHFR gene is an important candidate gene of NCL/P. Using folic acid supplements could prevent teratogenic MTHFR gene silencing for embryonic palate development.

Purpose:To investigate the prevention and treatment protocol for Af after resection of esophageal and car- dia carcinoma. Methods:Analyses for clinical materials of 1527 patients underwent resection for esophageal and cardiac carcinoma. Results:There were Af 23 cases.Age older than 60 years, abnormal ECG or/and pulmonary function before operation,gastro-esophageal anastomosis above the aortic arch and histological staging Ⅲ~Ⅳ were risk factors for AF.Fa- tal AF was rarely seen.In our 23 cases after treatment in time AF disappeared. Conclusions:Further recognition for post- operative AF and management of perioperative period complication, may reduce the danger of postoperative AF.
