1.Generation and regulation of Leydig cells.
National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(3):273-276
Leydig cells, located in the loose interstitial tissue of seminiferous tubules, are the major site for androgen synthesis and secretion, and play an important role in the reproductively and fertility of males. The dysfunction of Leydig cells may lead to various male diseases, such as primary hypogonadism, cryptorchidism, and hypospadias. This review outlines the recent findings concerning the generation, development and regulation of Leydig cells.

4.GluR2 expression in developing rat cochlear nucleus and relationship with development of synapse
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(12):-
Objective To investigate the trend of developmental expression of GluR2,subtype of alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole-4-propionic acid(AMPA) receptor and synaptophysin(SYP) in the rat cochlear nucleus(CN) in different developmental stages, and explore the association of GluR2 expression with the development of synapse. Methods SD rats of 2,3,4,6,8 and 10 weeks old were selected, the expression of GluR2 and SYP in CN was detected with immunofluorescence histochemical method, and the association of them was explored. Results GluR2 expression was observed in all the neurons of CN in each postnatal groups. The expression was relatively weaker in the second and third week, became denser in the fourth week, reached the peak in the sixth week and then sharply decreased to the weakest in the tenth week. The expression of GluR2 was denser at granular cell layer, while weaker at molecular layer and multipolar cell layer in the dorsal CN.SYP expression was detected in all the neurons of CN in each postnatal groups. The expression was weakest in the second week, significantly denser in the fourth week, reached the peak in the sixth week, was then sharply decreased and stably maintained. Conclusion The expressions of GluR2 and SYP in the postnatal rat CN exhit an equally age-dependent tendency. The expression of GluR2 in the CN may be associated with the the maturation and function development of the CN.The different expression and distribution of GluR2 and SYP in the rat CN of different developmental stages may be involved in the development and plasticity of auditory center.

Objective To evaluate the application of scenario-based training and medical simulator in the orthopedics education. Methods A total of 60 students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine who finished their orthopedics internship from January 2016 to July 2016 were involved. They were randomly divided into the study group and control group with 30 students each. The study group re-ceived 2 classes of scenario-based training and medical simulator assisted education during their internship in the orthopedics department while the control group received 2 classes of traditional lessons instead. Sur-veys were conducted after the internship and the scores of internship were also recorded. Result The overall satisfaction was higher in the study group than the control group [(8.6±0.6) vs. (8.1±0.5), P=0.001]. On the part of learning interest, clinical thinking, clinical practice and group working, the study group also received better evaluation (P<0.05). The study group achieved better scores in the final examination than the control group [(84.4±2.6) vs. (82.5±3.4), P=0.018]. Conclusion The combination of scenario-based training and medical simulator can improve the ability of medical students in the orthopedics education, and receive higher satisfaction.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Congenital heart disease with left-to-right shunt easily lead to pulmonary hypertension.Currently agreed about its mechanism:shear stress induced by high pulmonary blood flow stimulus pulmonary endothelium,to start regulation of genetic transcription,to initiate a series of molecular biology and pathophysiology changes, and finally to lead to pulmonary vascular pathologic remolding.Nuclear factor(NF)-?B is a kind of nuclear factor with multiple biological effect and play an important role in pulmonary vascular remolding.NF-?B signal can be actiacted by high blood flow. Its target gene products, for example, vasoactive mediators, cytokines, make pulmonary vessels difficulty to maintain the normal structure and cause pulmonary vascular contraction and remolding, thus, pulmonary arterial pressure increases.

Objective To investigate the clinical and MR features of fungal encephalopyosis and fungal granuloma. Methods The clinical and MR data of 10 cases with fungal encephalopyosis and fungal granuloma confirmed by surgical pathology or clinical serum were analyzed retrospectively. Then we analyzed the clinical conditions,MR signals, lesion enhancement,DWI and MRS performance characteristics of the 10 cases. Results Six cases were fungal encephalopyosis, among which 2 cases occurred in the sella turcica after surgery which located in and above the sella turcica.2 cases occurred in the frontal lobe after frontal surgery and 1 case of them was multiple encephalopyosis.2 cases of encephalopyosis without operation history were located in the left frontal lobe and right cerebellum respectively. The abscess walls of these cases were thin and showed high tension.Furthermore,it had annular significant signal enhancement and high signal in DWI scan. One case of huge fungal granuloma located in the frontal lobe and into the sinuses which showed uneven signal enhancement. The Cho level was significantly increased.Three cases of cryptococcal granuloma showed multiple lesions located in the bilateral basal ganglia region and 2 out of them accompanied with cephalomeningitis. Conclusion The MR performance of fungal encephalopyosis was quite similar with bacterial brain abscesses, which makes the differential diagnosis difficult. The brain fungal granuloma MRS may display a significant increase of Cho level which might be related with gliosis. It shows certain characteristics of brain MR performance of cryptococcal granuloma which are multiple lesions, preferential distribution of basal ganglia region and accompanying cephalomeningitis.

Background and purpose:Nowadays, about therapy of laryngeal carcinoma, people are paying more and more widely attention to ifnding out how to improve quality of patients’ life besides radical surgery. For glottic laryngeal carcinoma which invading anterior commissure or bilateral vocal cord, we performed modiifed frontolateral partial laryngectomy or modiifed cricohyoidoepiglottopexy, and contrastive analyzed the therapeutic efifcacy of the two ways. Methods:Sixty cases patients of glottic laryngeal carcinoma who treated in Hunan Provincial Tumor Hospital during 2005 to 2010, which invaded the anterior commissure or bilateral vocal cord, were randomly attributed to two groups as A and B;30 patients of group A were underwent modiifed frontolateral partial laryngectomy and repaired with bilateral sternohyoid muscle lfap, 30 patients of group B were treated by modiifed cricohyoidoepiglottopexy. Follow-up time of each patient was 5 years postoperation and clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. Results:The 5-year survival rate was 86.7%in group A as well as 83.3%in group B, and there was no statistical difference between two groups (P=0.718). Pronunciation function:22 cases in group A and 21 cases in group B whose pronunciation function can be competent in the noisy environment, and can pronounce“a”and“i”vowel;8 cases in group A and 9 cases in group B can pronounce only a“ha”,“hi”sound, that couldn’t communicate with others in a noisy environment. There was no statistical difference in pronunciation function between the two groups (P=0.774). Incidence of deglutition disorder 4 weeks postoperation:group A was 0 (0/30), group B was 16.7%(5/30), and the difference between the two groups was statistically signiifcant (P=0.026);average time of extubation postoperation:group A was (10±2.3) d, group B was (20±4.6)d, and the difference between the two groups was statistically signiifcant (P=0.0000);recurrence rate of dyspnea after extubation:group A was 16.7%(5/30), group B was 0 (0/30), and there was statistically signiifcant difference between the two groups (P=0.026). Conclusion: For the glottic laryngeal carcinoma which invading anterior commissure or bilateral vocal cord, there was no statistical difference in 5-years survival rate and function of pronunciation between modified frontolateral partial laryngenctomy and modified cricohyoidoepiglottopexy postoperation. The former had less postoperative deglution disorder, earlier extubation time, and to some extent, alleviated the suffering of the patients, but part of these patients needed secondary surgery due to dyspnea which resulted by radioactive tissue adhesion after extubation. The latter had more serious deglution disorder postoperation, longer recovery time, and relatively longer time to extubating, showed no again dyspnea after extubation, and had more extensive adaptation disease. In a word, each way of operation has its advantage respectively.
