1.Simultaneous determination of five sesquiterpene lactones in Carpesium abrotanoides by HPLC.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(9):1783-1786
An HPLC method was established to simultaneously determine the five sesquiterpene lactones, carabrone, carabrol, 2-desoxy-4-epi-pulchellin, telekinand 11(13)-dehydroivaxillin in Carpesium abrotanoides. Samples were analyzed on a kromasil C18 column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 µm); mobile phase: A was acetonitrile, B was water, with gradient elution; flow speed: 1.0 mL · min(-1); detection was carried out using a photodiode array detector at 211 nm; temperatureof column: 30 °C. The five sesquiterpene lactones were well separated with good linear correlations in the range of 0.270-2.700 (r = 0.999 7 ), 1.336-13.360 (r = 0.999 6), 0.258-2.580 (r = 0.999 7), 0.238-2.380 (r = 0.999 9), 0.490-4.900 µg (r = 0.999 9) for carabrone, carabrol, 2-desoxy-4-epi-pulchellin, telekin and 11 (13) -dehydroivaxillin. The average recoveries of these five sesquiterpene lactoneswere 96.78%-98.41% (RSD 1.3%-2.9%). The method was simple, repeatable and stable, which could be used for quality control of C. abrotanoide.

To study the chemical constituents from Zanthoxylum simulans and their anti-inflammatory activity. The constituents of Z. simulans were isolated and purified using various column chromatographies. Their chemical structures were elucidated using extensive spectroscopic methods. The compounds were assayed inhibitory activity against NO production in LPS stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. Four compounds were obtained from the ethanol extract of Z. simulans and determined to be isozanthpodocarpin B(1), kobusin (2), (+)-fargesin (3), and epieudesmin (4). Compound 1 exhibited NO production inhibitory effect with IC50 value of 14.49 µmol · L(-1). Compound 1 is a new dimeric lignan and may be serve as potential anti-inflammatory agent in the future.

Objective To investigate the effect of blood pressure control for early enlargement of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods A total of 96 patients were divided randomly into intensive blood pressure lowering group (n = 48 )and standard antihypertensive group(n=48).Patients were checked head CT and was evaluated defect of nerve function score immedi-ately when they arrive at hospital and after 24 hours. Then the clinical curative effect was evaluated. Results The defect of nerve function score in intensive blood pressure lowering group was lower than that of the standard antihypertensive group(P <0.05 ). The hematomas volume within 24 hours of admission and the rate of hematoma enlargement of intensive blood pressure lowering group were sharply smaller than those of standard antihypertensive group(P <0.05).Conclusion Controlling blood pressure ac-tively could decrease ratio early enlargement of hematoma and defect of nerve function score in patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.

Objective To assess the diagnostic value of dynamic contrast enhanced MR imaging in predicting the efficacy of distinguishing benign from malignant soft tissue tumor Methods Dynamic contrast enhanced MR imaging was performed in 30 patients with pathologically confirmed soft tissue tumors The MR signal intensity of the ROI was plotted The slope value of the time intensity curve was analyzed Results There was significant difference between the slope value of benign and malignant lesions Based on the slope value of half minute, differentiation of benign from malignant lesions was possible with 90 9% of the sensitivity, 89 4% of the specificity, 83 3% of the positive predictive value and 94 4% of the negative predictive value Conclusion Dynamic contrast enhance MR imaging can correctly predict benignity or malignance of soft tissue tumors

Objective To investigate the protective effect of chloroquine on endotoxemia mice and its inhibition on the release of cytokines induced by LPS. Methods A total of 40 mice of Kunming species were randomly divided into four groups: LPS group received LPS at 10 mg/kg, chloroquine group received chloroquine at 20 mg/kg, LPS plus chloroquine group received chloroquine at 20 mg/kg first, then LPS at 10 mg/kg and control group received only 0.9%sodium chloride at 200 ?l/20 g. The mortality was observed within seven days after injection via caudal vein. ANA 1 cell lines were cultivated in vitro . After chloroquine was first added into the cells for 3 hours, the releases of TNF ? and IL 6 in the supernatants induced by different concentrations of LPS were measured. Results Chloroquine could decrease the death of mice due to endotoxin. Mortality dropped from 100% to 50% ( P

Objective To investigate the situation of subjective well-being feeling of type 2 diabetes patients and its influential factors. Methods One hundred and twenty-seven patients with type 2 diabetes were recruited as our subjects and all of them were performed the questionnaire investigation about well-being feeling.Influential factors were analyzed through several statistic methods. Results The index of subject wellbeing ranged from 3.70 to 13.70 and the average was 10.67 ± 2.10 of all type 2 diabetes patients.Of which The index of total affectation was 5.11 ± 0.92 and the range was from 2.63 to 6.63.The score of life satisfaction was 5.58 ± 1.22,and the range was from 1.10 to 7.70.Index of subjective well-being significantly associated with education, family income, therapy approach,HbA1 c level, complication, medicine burden. However there was no correlation with gender, age, diabetes duration. Conclusion The main types of subjective well-being feeling of patients with type 2 diabetes were positive effect and positive experience. Many factors could be the influence factor to well-being.Measures should be taken to improve Subjective well-being of type 2 diabetes patients.
