4. Percutaneous coronary angioplasty via radial artery for acute myocardial infarction
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;28(2):175-178
Objective: To access the application of percutaneous coronary angioplasty via radial artery in treatment of acute myocardial infarction. Methods: Totally 107 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) were included in this study. Transradial approach (group A) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) was used in 56 patients and the transfemoral approach (group B) PCI was used in 51 patients. The successful rates of puncture procedure and PCI, time of artery carmulation, the carmulation to balloon inflation times, the total procedure time, and local puncture complications were compared between the 2 groups. Results: The successful rates of puncture procedure were IN% in both groups and their successful rates of PCI were higher than 96%. The time of artery carmulation, the cannulation to balloon inflation time, and the total procedure time were similar in group A and group B ([2.93±0.42] min vs [3.07±0.54] min, P=0.14; [17.23±3.47] min vs [16.81±4.86] min, P=0.61; [47.04±7.53] min vs [48.74±6.22] min, P=0.21, respectively). The incidence of bleeding and edema around puncture sites in group B was higher than that in group A (5/51 vs 0/56, P=0.016 4); the vagal reaction rate in group B was higher than that in group B (4/51 vs 0/56, P=0.032 7). Conclusion: Transradial access is a safe and feasible technique for performing percutaneous coronary intervention in treatment of acute myocardial infarction; it can decrease major bleeding complications.
5.Expression of Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor in Lungs of Rats with Experimental Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(03):-
Objective To examine the expression of macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MIF)in lung tissues of rats with experimental pulmonary fibrosis and to discuss its effects on pulmonary fibrosis.Methods36 male SD rats were randomly divided into two groups:the pulmonary fibrosis group and the control group.Rat pulmonary fibrosis was induced by an intratracheal injection of bleomycin. The following tests were undedaken: HE and Masson staining of lung section, immunohistochemical staining of protein of MIF in the lung,RT-PCR of MIFmRNA in the lung.ResultsCompared with the control group, the mRNA and protein expression of lung MIF on day 7 to 28 in pulmonary fibrosis increased and reached the peak on day 14 after an intratracheal injection of bleomycin(P
6.Diagnosis and therapy of Crohn's disease:a report of 30 cases
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1997;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the diagnosis and therapy of Crohn's disease(CD).Methods The clinical data of 30 cases of pathologically proven CD from 1992 to 2005 were analyzed,26 cases were followed up.Results Among the 30 patients with CD,13(43.3%)diagmosed by endoscopy and biopsy.and17 cases(57.7%)were diagnosed by operation and pathology Before operation,6 cases were diagnosed as acute abdomen,4 cases as ileus,3 cases as massive hemorrhage of gastrointestinal tract,2 cases as colorectal cancer,1 case as intestinal fistula and 1 case as head mass of pancreas.Of the 26 cases followed up cases,15 cases accepted operation with 5 cases of recurrence;21 cases have taken drugs, and the total effective rate was 73.1%.Conclusions CD is a chronic relapsing disease and is difficult to diagnose. The majority of patients undergo operation due to misdiagnosis or complications.CD is prone to relapse postoperatively, quality of life is poor, and one must heighten awareness of these patients, make early diagnosis, directed therapy, and intensify follow up.
7.Application of epidermal growth factor in corneal injury
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;30(9):857-860
Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a very important peptide growth factor, which is not only involving in a variety of ocular cell mitosis, proliferation and differentiation, but also participates in mediating the signal transduction between cell and cell, cell and matrix interaction and other biological functions.Corneal injury is a common and frequently occurring disease in ophthalmology, and it would lead to blindness without appropriate treatment.Researches showed that EGF can promote the repair and regeneration of wounded cornea. In recent years, these studies advance from animal experiment stage to clinical stage and also from the morphology evaluation stage to the genetics study stage. This paper provided an overview of EGF concept, its biological effectiveness, its relationship to corneal injury and its clinical application.
8.Association of retinal diseases with epigenetics mechanism
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(8):753-758
Epigenetics refers to the changes of heritable gene expression without modification of DNA sequences which is one of major research interest of human genome study post gene era. Epigenetics may play an important role in the pathogenesis of retinal diseases. Epigenetics modification in the regulation of gene expression and function mainly includes DNA methylation, histone acetylation and non-coding RNA such as miRNA. The implication of epigenetics has been suggested with the pathogenesis of retinal fibrosis, retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. In addition, the epigenetics drug has potential to be used in the treatment of retinal diseases.
9.Application of 25 G vitreous cavity perfusion in phacoemulsification for cataract after vitrectomy
International Eye Science 2016;16(6):1168-1170
?AIM: To explore the application of 25G vitreous cavity perfusion in phacoemulsification for cataract after vitrectomy.?METHODS:Forty-eight patients (50 eyes) with cataract after pars planavitrectomy in our hospital from September 2013 to September 2014 were selected to receive phacoemulsification and implantation of artificial lens with 25G vitreous cavity perfusion. Best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , intraocular pressure ( IOP ) , postoperative discomfort, healing of scleral puncture and postoperative complications were observed.?RESULTS: All patients underwent surgery successfully. Compared to before operation, there was less patients with BCVA ≤0. 1, more patients with BCVA 0. 3-0. 5,>0. 5,>0. 3 (P<0. 05). The visual acuity of 1 eye decreased because of vitreous hemorrhage caused by original fundus lesion recurrence. The mean IOP before operation and at 1, 7d, 6mo after operation were 14. 67±0. 62mmHg, 14.75±0.56mmHg, 14.86±0.58mmHg, 14.88±0.59mmHg, respectively. There were no statistically significant differences of IOP between that before operation and those at 1, 7d, 6mo after operation (P>0. 05). No obvious eye discomfort and severe complications after operation were observed.? CONCLUSION: The effect of 25G vitreous cavity perfusion in phacoemulsification for cataract after vitrectomy is good and it can maintain IOP, keep anterior chamber stable and decrease the complications risk.
