Objective To observe the depositing regions of the cerebral neurons containing A?_ 42 neurons and to study the effects of ginkgo leaf extracts and dioyridamole injection on the memory,the deposition of A?_ 42 in the brain of Alzheimer's disease(AD) model rats induced by aluminium chloride(AlCl_3).Methods The experimental AD model of rats was established by 30% AlCl_3.The rats of treatment group received ginkgo leaf extracts and dioyridamole injection for consecutive six months.Latent period and the intensity of electric shock was evaluated by a passive-avoidence test before and after administration respectively.The morphology and the number of A?_ 42 neurons of the model rats brain by light microscope observation as well as immnohistochemistry.Results (1)After treatment,latent period of the rats prolonged and the intensity of electric shock reduced as compared with AlCl_3 group.(2)The depositing regions of A?_ 42 were found mainly in pyramidal cell layer of CA_1 hippocampus formation and polymorphical cell layer of dentate gyrus,external main stratum of entorhinal region and Ⅲ,Ⅵ,Ⅴ cell layer of cortex(parietal,temporal).The color of A?_ 42 positive substance was brown or brown yellow in the cytoplasm and its dendrites or branches.Significant reducing of A?_ 42 neurons occurred in treatment group(hippocampus P0.05).Conclusion Ginkgo leaf extracts and dioyridamole injection can improve the AD model rats ability of learn and memorizing,which mechanisms are achived by preventing A? from depositing and clearing deposited A?.

Nucleotide binding oligomerization domain (NOD)-like receptor protein 3, NLRP3) inflammasomes regulate the secretion of caspase-1, interleukin-18 (IL-18), IL-1β, and other cytokines, and participates in aging. In recent years, it has been found that NLRP3 inflammasomes are abnormally activated in aging heart and vessels, and inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasomes can alleviate heart aging and vascular aging. This review summarizes the research of NLRP3 inflammasome in heart and vascular aging, and the related drugs to promote the discovery of the mechanism of NLRP3 inflammasome in heart and vascular aging and the development of related drugs.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the anti-inflammation effect of curcumin and its derivative in vivo. METHODS: Observations were made on the anti-inflammatory effect of curcumin and its derivatives in xylene-induced mouse ear edema and carrageenan-induced paw edema. The plasma T-AOC, MDA and tissue PGE2 levels were measured. RESULTS: Xylene-induced mouse ear edema and carrageenan-induced paw edema were improved by curcumin and its derivatives in different degrees (P < 0.05, P < 0.01), the plasma MDA levels were lowered, the T-AOC levels were increased, meanwhile PGE2 synthesis in the inflammatory tissues were inhibited (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: The anti-inflammatory activity of curcumin and its derivatives in mice may be related to increasing antioxidant capacity and inhibiting the PGE2 synthesis. Objective:To explore the relationship between wearing of functional appliance and systemic metabolism of PGE2 in the blood of growing rats.Methods:54 male Wistar rats aged 4-weeks were randomly divided into 3 groups(n =18):Daytime group,all-day group and control group.Self-guided functional appliance was made for mandible advancement of the rats in the 2 experimental groups.One week after appliance wearing,rats were sacrificed at the corresponding time points and blood in femoral artery was taken. PGE2 levels in the blood samples were measured,data were analysed by cosine equation.Results:Hypothesis was true in the control group(P ＜0.05),and was not true in both 2 experimental groups(P >0.05).Conclusion:PGE2 level in rat blood is circadian rhyth-mic,wearing of functional appliance made may disturb the rhythm.

Objective To evaluate the role of cyclic adenosine monophosphate-protein kinase A (cAMP-PKA) signal transduction pathway in lidocaine-induced up-regulation of the expression of surfactant protein-A (SP-A) in rat alveolar epithelial type Ⅱ cells (AEC Ⅱ).Methods Healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were sacrificed and AEC Ⅱ were isolated,purified and incubated in 24-well culture plates (100μd/hole) with density of 1 × 106/ml.After being incubated for 2 h,the culture medium was replaced with serum-free medium DMEM.The cells were randomly divided into 4 groups (n =48 each):control group (group C),forskolin (adenylate cyclase agonist) group (group F),lidocaine 200 μg/ml group (group L),and PKA inhibitor H89 + L group (group P+ L).Forskolin 10 μmol/ml was added to DMEM in group F.Lidocaine 200 μg/ml was added to DMEM in group L.H89 10μnol/ ml was added to DMEM and AEC Ⅱ were incubated for 10 min,and then lidocaine 200 μg/ml was added in group P + L.At 6,12 and 24 h of incubation (T1-3),cAMP content and PKA activity (using ELISA),and expression of SP-A mRNA (by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR) and SP-A (by Western blot) were measured.Results Compared with group C,the expression of SP-A mRNA and SP-A was significantly upregulated,and cAMP level and PKA activity were increased at T1-3 in group F and at T2,3 in group L.Compared with group L,the expression of SP-A and SP-A mRNA was down-regulated,PKA activity was decreased,and no significant change was found in cAMP level at T1-3 in group P + L.Conclusion Lidocaine can up-regulate the expression of SP-A in AEC Ⅱ of rats through activating cAMP-PKA signal transduction pathway.

Objective:Thirty-three cases of nerve tinnitus were treated mainly by needling acupoints Baihui(GV 20), Tinggong(SI 19), Tinghui(GB 2), Yifeng(TE 17) and Zhongzhu(TE 3). In the presence of kidney deficiency, Shenshu(BL 23) and Mingmen(GV 4) were added; in the presence of liver-gallbladder fire preponderance, Taichong(LR 3) and Qiuxu(GB 40) were added; in the presence of exogenous wind heat, Waiguan(TE 5) and Hegu(LI 4) were added.After 6-course treatments, 6 cases were cured, 22 cases improved and 2 cases failed, with the total effective rate of 93.9%.

The development of transitional epithelium of ureter and urinary bladder in the rats from prenatal 15 days old to postnatal 4 weeks old was studied by histological and histochemical methods. During the development, RNA and glycogen contents are increased at first and then decreased. The activity of SDH,AcP and AlP increased gradually and ATPase reaction was negative. These parameters tended to be stable from the postnatal 3rd week, it meants that the epithelium tend to maturation. On the prenatal 15th day there were some significant differences between the epithelium of the two organs, however thereafter they gradually become identical and they showed the same type of epithelium, i.e. transitional epithelium at maturation. This means that they reached the same goal by different routes. In addition, on the prenatal 15th day the epithelium of urinary bladder stratified in most portions, some of the superficial cells degenerate. Hence it deduced that the epithelium of urinary bladder undergo primitive stratification firstly, nad then cell degeneration happens, and evolve into trasitional form ultimately. Meanwhile, We presume that in certain extent, the development of the epithelium of the two organs, including cell temporary degeneration, in addition to the action of embryonic induction, probably related to the content of urinary tract also.
