Objective To provide the evidence for working out the strategies for library service by investigating the characteristics of Internet users' information behaviors in medical college and university library. Methods The In-ternet users' information behaviors in electronic reading room of medical college and university library were recorded using management software and analyzed using the SPSS. Results Medical undergraduates were the major readers in electronic reading room of medical college and university library. Their Internet information behaviors were charac-terized by information searching which accounted for 55. 19%. The use of foreign databases, especially PubMed, was more than that of domestic databases. The time of readers to search and use information was centralized in their working hours. Conclusion Library should help its readers to know how to search the databases, how to make full use of Internet resources, and how to improve their learning efficiency in order to make sure that the readers can ef-fectively search and use the Internet information.

ObjectiveTo investigate the optimal reconstruction windows for coronary angiography using 320-detector row dynamic volume CT (DVCT) and evaluate their effects on image quality, radiation dose and diagnostic accuracy.MethodsFrom 77 patients [mean heart rate (70 + 13) bpm,range:46-102 bmp] were scanned with retrospective ECG-gating 320-detector row DVCT.The relationship between heart rate and optimal reconstruction windows was analyzed. From 53 patients [mean heart rate ( 75 ±11 ) bpm,range:57-114 bpm] were scanned with prospective ECG-gating 320-detector row DVCT.The effects of prospective ECG-gating on image quality, radiation dose and diagnostic accuracy were evaluated.Friedman test was performed for image quality scores in random groups.Linear regression and Spearman correlation were performed to test bivariate data.ResultsThe proportion of systolic duration in the cardiac cycle increased significantly with higher heart rate (r =0.78,P <0.01 ).The image quality in systolic and diastolic phases were significantly influenced by heart rate ( r =0.38,0.82 ; P < 0.01 ).According to the regression analysis of image quality score in different heart rate groups, the optimal reconstruction windows were determined as followed:when heart rate was < 70 bpm,the optimal reconstruction windows should be preset at 65%-80% ; 70 to 80 bpm,70%-85% ; 81 to 90 bpm,70%-90% ; >90 bpm,35%-50%.Compared with retrospective ECG-gating,prospective ECG-gating which preset reconstruction windows according to the phases mentioned above, could decrease radiation dose [(6.1 ± 3.8 )vs (12.4 ± 7.0) mSv],without deteriorating the image quality (t =6.5,P < 0.01 ).However,in higher heart rate, the radiation dose of prospective ECG-gating DVCT was still higher ( r =0.64,P < 0.01 ).ConclusionsDVCT can provide high image quality in a wide range of heart rate with prospective ECG gating. It is still recommended to control heart rate strictly since the radiation dose increases significantly in high heart rate.

Objective Researching the academic level of 12 domestic medical universities by databases of scientific evaluation. Methods Researching the academic level of top 12 medical universities of China mainland based on the ESI and InCites. Results Peking Union Medical College ranked first on overall academic level in 12 medical universities, and clinical medicine has the highest academic level.Every university has its ESI disciplines and potential disciplines, most TOP papers belong to clinical medicine, but other disciplines also had. Conclusions The overall academic level of 12 medical uni versities is higher,in addition to,the ESI disciplines need to maintain, and the potential disciplines need to support.
4.Analyzing the patent applications of top 10 hospitals in China during 2008-2017
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2019;32(2):101-105
Objective Analyzing the patent applications of top 10 hospitals in China during past 10 years,to provide reference for hospital management departments and researchers, propose possible suggestions. Methods Selecting the top 10 hospitals of China, and searching their patent application data during the period of 2008-2017 based on China Intellectual Property Right Net.Analyze the age distribution, patent type distribution, patent effective rate,IPC distribution,as well as the relationship between patents and the CSCD papers. Results The top 10 hospitals have applied 5430 patents in past 10 years, including 2188 inventions,3197 utility models and 45 design patents. Conclusions Patent applications increased year by year. The main direction of the patents is innovation and improvement to surgical instruments or technology. The level of patents is not high, utility model patent is in the majority.Hospitals need to put equal emphasis on patents and papers.Proposed suggestions including:improving the patent consciousness of medical staff;cooperating with the patent agency;improving the quality of patents on creativity;encouraging staffs to apply invention patent, and increasing the proportion of invention patents when promotion and evaluation.
5.Analyzing and discussing the biomedical top papers of China mainland from 2012 to 2016
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2018;31(5):365-369
Objective Discussing the distribution of the biomedical top papers of China Mainland from 2012 to 2016.Methods Analyzing the quantity and growth rate of China Mainland's biomedical papers,as well as the research direction distribution, fund distribution and journal distribution of SCI papers, which based on Web of Science database and CSCD database. Results The biomedical papers of China Mainland increased year by year, particularly the SCI papers. The proportion of SCI papers rising to 55.65% from 34.03% during 2012-2016.The subject which has the most SCI papers is oncology, but the most CSCD papers is general internal medicine. The NSFC funded the largest number SCI papers and CSCD papers. Most scientific papers which growing faster is belong to basic medicine, but they are not outstanding. Conclusions The biomedical papers of China Mainland increased year by year, but a large number of domestic excellent papers run off.Our country and the scientific research management departments should insist the policy guidance, and strengthen the support to the domestic journals;Encouraging and guiding the medical staff to publish more high quality clinical research papers.
