Journal of Practical Radiology 2010;26(2):179-182
Objective To approach the clinical applied value of MSCT coronary angiography in detecting coronary artery disease. Methods 150 patients underwent MSCT coronary angiography, of them, 100 patients were also examined by coronary arteriography. The ability in showing coronary arteriae with MSCT was evaluated comparatively with coronary arteriography. Results The success-ful rate in showing coronary arteriae by MSCT was 95.3%,the excellent rate of images was 82.970%. There was negative correlation between image quality and heart rate(r=0.938). And the accurate rate in evaluating the narrowing of coronary arteriae was 91.2% with MSCT. There was no significant difference in detecting the narrowing of coronary arteriae with MSCT and coronary angiography (P>0.05). Conclusion By controlling the patients' heart rate(below 70/min) and optimizing the technical methods,MACT coro-nary angiography can detect all of the 1~3 branch of coronary artery. MSCT has some particular superiority in diagnosing coronary artery disease and evaluating the effects of coronary artery bypass graft.

Objective To investigate the correlation among mammographic features, and estrogen /progesterone receptor(ER,PR) of the breast cancer. Methods The mammographic features of 60 cases of breast cancer confirmed by surgery and histology were analyzed retrospectively. The specimens of mastectomy of the breast cancer were stained with immunohistochemistry, the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) were measured .The relationship between the immunohistochemical pathologic results and mammographic features were analyzed. Results Among the 60 cases of breast cancers, X-ray types mass of breast cancer were correlated with the expression of PR (P

Objective To evaluate the value of multislice spiral CTA in diagnosis of intracranial aneurysm. Methods CTA data in 32 patients with intracranial aneurysms proved by operation and DSA were retrospectively analysed in comparison with the results of DSA.Results 38 aneurysms in 32 patients were detected by DSA and operation.Six cases of 32 had two aneurysms.36 and 34 aneurysms were detected by DSA and CTA respectively.4 aneurysms located at anterior communicating artery,7 at middle cerebral artery,9 at posterior communicating artery,14 at internal carotid artery and 4 at basilar artery. Conclusion MSCTA can be used as the method in screening intracranial aneurysms for surgery and interventional therapy.

Objective To investigate the accuracy of staging gastric cancer with multi slice spiral CT (MSCT) .Methods MSCT,3D reformation images and CTVE were performed in 39 patients with gastric cancer confirmed by gastroscopy and biopsy. The MSCT images were compared with the pathological findings. Results The accuracy of staging gastric cancer by MSCT in combination with 3D reformation images and CTVE was 86.7%. Conclusion The accuracy of staging gastric cancer by MSCT in combination with 3D reformative images and CTVE is very high.It is valuable to be extended clinically.

Objective To study the diagnostic value of coronary disease with 16-slice spiral CT.Methods 35 patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) were divided into two groups according to the risk rate of CHD:group 1 with acute coronary artery syndrome(ACS)(including acute myocardial infarction,AMI;unstable angina,UA);group 2 with stable angina(SA).They were studied by 16-slice spiral CT(retrospectively ECG-gating,0.5 s ratation),the images were reconstructed by survey methods to display the coronary artery atherosclerosis plaques, then to evaluate the nature of plaques by detecting CT value of plaque(using the standard of the CT value of the coronary artery atherosclerosis plaque of Schroeder)and to analyze the degree of the stenosis of coronary artery caused by the different type of plaque. Results There were 19 soft plaqes,11 middle plaques and 7 calcification plaques in ACS group;3 soft plaqes,3 middle plaques and 11 calcification plaques in SA group. There was a positive relation between soft plaqes and middle plaques with the risk rate of CHD,especially soft plaque(P

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(10):-
Objective To assess feasibility of three-dimensional(3D) reconstruction techniques and virtual gastroscopy of CT(CTVG)in diagnosing gastric tumors. Methods 22 cases doubted with gastric lesions were scaned by mutislice helic CT and reconstructed into CTVG and 3D images. The results were compared with fiberoptic gastroscopy(FG) and all of the cases were sure with gastric lesions and biopsied by gastroscopy or surgery operation. Results 22 patients was examinated successfully, and the lesions was proved by pathology of FG or operation.According to location and shape of lesions, there were more ulcer type(16) and more located at gastric antrum(14) in this specimen. Both CTVG and FG had one misdiagnosis respectively. Conclusion CTVG combined with 3D of MSCT is same sensitivity and specificity as FG.

Objective To study the correlation of measuring bone density for diagnosing osteoporosis between VQCT and DXA. Methods 50 patients were measured bone density coinstantaneous by DXA and VQCT. All of the data was saved in computer and analyzed by SPSS soft. Results According to WHO criterion 14 patients were osteoporosis by F-DXA and 9 by S-DXA,and 23 by VQCT.The percent was respective 28%,18% and 46%. The results of VQCT were significantly different from the results of F-DXA and S-DXA (?

Objective To compare dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry T-score concordance between hip and lumbar spine, and to estimate the value of T-score of the hip for diagnosing osteoporosis in the elderly. Methods From September 2000 to May 2002, 123 males aged 60-89 years (average 72.0?7.4) and 137 females aged 60-88 years (average 67.3?6.1) were selected in the study based on the exclusion of subjects with apparent abnormalities affecting bone mass or taking medications which might affect bone metabolism. Detailed questionnaire included lifestyle factors such as smoking, drinking, exercise and dietary habits, etc. Radiographs of the thoracic and lumbar spine were taken. Patients' BMD were measured by DEXA (DMS, Challenger) at lumbar spine (L 2-4) and left hip in posterior-anterior projection. The right hip was scanned if patients had a history of fractures or any bone disease in the left hip. All data were statistically analysed using SPSS 8.0 system. Results The average T-scores of bone mineral density of the lumbar spine were higher than that of the hip in all male patients and in 65-, 85- age groups of female patients(P
