A canthopanax Senticosus , a vulnerable species, was one of the major government-protected plants. This paper deals with the major reason for wildlife resources from biological standpoints, which are sexual propagation with less capability , vegetative propagation being damaged due to leaves , roots and rhizomes being gathered un-reasonable. Raising wildlife resources, semi-wild extensive management, and reasonable gatheration will be an important means for protection of wildlife resources in light of local conditions.

BACKGROUND: Micro-arc oxidation, also be known as micro-plasma oxidation or anodic spark deposition, is a new technology that can in situ grow ceramic coating directly on the surface of non-ferrous metals. And the ceramic coating has such characteristics as high corrosion resistance, good wear resistance, etc. It is advantageous to the osseointegration between implant and bone that the ceramic coating is able to produce porous, rough oxide film on the surface layer of the implant, which improves the biological reaction of the bone interface so as to affect the number of bone-forming cells, ype, products of cell, and the expression of the product.OBJECTIVE: To observe the osseointegration between bone and implant, and to analyze induced action of metal trace elements to bone-formation's marker (ALP). METHODS: A computer-based online search was conducted in PUMMED and Chinese Journal Full-text Database with the key words of "micro-arc oxidation, synosteosis, titanium, magnesium" in both English and Chinese between 1995 and 2009. Additionally, hand-made retrieval was performed for articles about micro-arc oxidation and microelement. Among 96 articles, 34 references were excluded due to unrelated and duplicated articles, and 28 ones were excluded due to long-term publication, 34 ones were included in the final analysis.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: It is believed that the surface modification methods on microelement and micro-arc oxidation ceramic coating on Ti-based implant will become the mainstream process to improve the rate of implant-bone integration. However, the clinical application still needs to be further studied.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2011;36(13):1687-1692
The origin place change is an almost universal rule for many Chinese medicines according to the formation and change history of ancient and recent Dao-di herbs. Among them, the quality and output are the essence and driving force of the formation and change of Dao-di herbs origin place. More and more species and quantities of Chinese medicine were cultivated along with development of Chinese medicine and modern manufacturing technology, and its production regions far exceed natural location zones, the rationality of origin place change should be based on drug quality evaluation. Under the guidance of the formation mode of Dao-di herbs, characteristics of Dao-di herbs were summarized, its characteristics and applied limits were suggested, some traditional Chinese medicinal materials only with higher output, cultivated materials in distribution area for wild, or materials with poor genetic resources failing to answer with Dao-di herbs. Chinese medicines authenticity should strengthen the study of germplasm and drug quality assessment, the suitability of producing area should be assessed according to output and quality under the guidance of suitable locations regionalization.

International Journal of Surgery 2012;39(4):249-254
ObjectiveTo evaluate the anticancer activity of 5'-dexoxy-fluorouridine on colon cancer experimental models in BALB/C mice, compared with 5'-fluorouracil,an anticancer agent widely used in clinic, meanwhile, examined the conversion of 5'-Dexoxy-fluorouridine to 5' -fluorouracil in cancer tissues and serum of mouse models.MethodsThe xenografts of mouse colon cancer cell line CT 26 were transplantated to cecum in 60 male BALB/C mice.Three days lated, these mice were divided into 3 groups and intro- peritoneally injected:( 1 ) 5' - dexoxy- fluorouridine 0.1 mg/g,(2) 5' - Fluorouracil 0.02 mg/g,(3)0.9% sodium chloride 0.4 mL (as a control),respectively. Two and three weeks later,6 mice were sacririced in every group respectively to measure the weight of tumors and bodies,to examine the Hb,RBC,WBC,PLT,AST,ALT,UREA,and CREA in blood. The rest 8 mice in each group were fed generally, and the survival time from operation to natural death was recorded. In addition,14 mice with xenografts of CT 26 about 2 weeks, were divided into 2 groups averagely,5' -dexoxy-fluorouridine 0.1 mg/g and 5' -fluorouracil 0.02 mg/g were intro-peritoneally injected respectively.Fifteen min later, the converted 5' -fluorouracil was detected from the blood and tumor tissues in sacrificed mice.ResultsThe lest tumor average weight was found in the mice injected 5 '-dexoxy-fluorouridine,being (0.07 ± 0.12) g and (0.24g ±0.29) g for the mice sacrificed at 2 and 3 weeks later, respectively. The average survival time for rest mice was ( 32.6 ± 8.9) d.The average tumor weight in 5' - fluorouracil group was (0.74 ± 0.43 ) g and ( 1.13 ±0.75) g at 2 and 3 weeks later, and the average survival time for the rest was (22.8 ±5.9)d,respectively.The average tumor weight in the control group was (0.70 ±0.47) g and ( 1.93 ±0.83) g at 2 and 3 weeks, and the average survival time for the rest was ( 17.5 ± 2.8 ) d.Either the average tumor weight or average survival time in the mice of 5 ' -dexoxy-fluorouridine group was significantly differen from either 5' -fluorouracil group or control (P < 0.05 ).However, there was no significant difference for the numbers of WBC,PLC,Hb,and some function examination of liver and kidney among 3 group mice, besides the loss of weights in 5'-fluorouracil group mice after operation and medicine therapy which was significantly obvious than that in 5' -deoxy-fluorouridine and control groups ( P < 0.05 ).In addition,( 54.71 ± 12.82) μg/g 5' -fluorouracil was detected in xenografts of mice injected 5' -dexoxy-fluorouridine 15 min later, which was the 6.20 folds of 5' -fluorouracil detected in serum from sthe ame group,P <0.05.However,( 133.35 ±20.69) μg/m 5'-fluorouracil were detected in serum of mice after 5' -fluorouracil were injected 15 min later, which was the 1.55 folds of 5' -fluorouracil detected in the xenografts from same group ( P < 0.05 ).ConclusionsIn colon cancer tissues of mouse experimental models,5' - dexoxy- fluorouridine could be converted effectively to 5'-fluorouracil,an obvious high concentration being detected in serum of mice than in cancer tissues. The anticancer effect of 5'-dexoxy-fluorouridine on mouse colon cancer models was more effective than 5'-fluorouracil,resulting in a longer survival duration, less side effect and no significant injury on liver and kidney functions. However, the mechanism of 5' -dexoxy-fluorouridine converted to 5' -fluorouracil in cancer tissue is needed further investigation.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2010;27(1):102-108
A novel Cu-IUDs material, PU/PEG/Cu nanocomposite, was prepared by melt blending method with thermoplastic polyurethane (PU) as the matrix, with polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a hydrophilic modifier, and with nanometer particles of copper as active matter instead of copper wire or copper tube. The structure, morphology, mechanical properties, thermal stability and water absorption were investigated by using FT-IR, XRD, SEM and so on. The results indicated that the nanometer particles of copper were uniformly dispersed in the matrix in PU/PEG/ Cu nanocomposites. It can be seen that the water absorption ability of this nanocomposite was obviously improved while mechanical properties and thermal stability were at high levels. These results provided a good basis for the studies on the cupric ions release of the nanocomposites in future.
