Methods The clinical data, the skills and experience of 171 cases with aneurysmso of anterior circulation within the latest 2 years. Results One hundred and seventy-one patients under surgery, including 67 PCOA aneurysm, 56 ACoA aneurysm, 32 MCA aneurysm, 10 ICA aneurysm, OphA aneurysm and 3 haimess aneurysm. Accoring to Glasgow Prognostic Scale, there were 3 cases of grade Ⅰ, 6 cases of grade Ⅲ, 14 cases of grade Ⅳ and 148 cases of grade Ⅴ. Conclusion The key points to cure intracranial aneurysms successfully is favourable exposure and the skills of microsurgery; the factors of intluent surgery include forcejudgement in surgery, reasonable choice of aneurysm clips, correctly block in arterious.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2005;0(S1):-
Objective: To evaluate the effects of stent implantation for treatment of Budd-Chiari syndrome. Methods:A total of 16 patients with pasthepatic inferior vena cave (IVC) obstruction syndrome were treated by balloon catheters ( Polythene and Inoue ) in percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) , then stent were inserted into the obstruction. Results: The residual pressure gradient after PTA and stent implantation was decreased from (4.6?0. 3 ) kPa to (2. 1?0. 1) kPa. The diameter of IVC after PTA and stent implantation was increased from (3.8?1. 7)mm to (14. 9?2. 0)mm. Conclusion : PTA and stent implantation are effective treatment for pasthepatic inferior vena cave obstruction.

This study is to investigate the influence and mechanism of action of asymmetrical dimethylarginine (ADMA) and the induced oxidative stress level on Alzheimer's disease (AD) incidence. ADMA concentration, nitric oxide, Abeta(40)/Abeta(42) ratio, inducible NO synthase (iNOS) activity and the concentrations of the induced free radicals including malondialdehyde (MDA), 3-nitrotyrosine (3-NT) and peroxynitrite (ONOO-) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from 34 neurologically normal controls and 37 AD patients were quantitatively determined and statistically compared. The results showed that the ADMA concentration significantly decreased in AD patients, and it showed negative correlation with the NO, iNOS activity, and showed positive correlation with MMSE score. ADMA concentration was negatively correlated with Abeta(40)/Abeta(42) ratio (P<0.01) with the observation that Abeta(40)/Abeta(42) ratio increased while ADMA level decreased in CSF in AD patients. The concentration levels of MDA, 3-NT and ROS significantly increased compared with the control with all the P values less than 0.05. These findings suggested that the ADMA disorder and the oxidative damage effect of the induced free radicals in CSF of AD patients are an important mechanism of AD incidence, and their joint regulation may provide new idea for the prevention and clinical treatment of AD.

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of Polyethylene glycol 3350 plus electrolyte bulk on the schizophrenia patients with constipation induced by clozapine. Methods 150 cases of schizophrenia inpatient and outpatient with constipation induced by clozapine treatment were selected and randoly dirided into the group of polyethylene glycol, lactulose group and non-intervention group with 50 patients in each group and each patient or their families signed the informed consent. The treatment groups took orally with Polyethyle ne glycol 3350 plus electrolyte 13. 7grams,2 times per day and lactulose oral solution 10ml,3 times per day respectively. The non-intervention group was not given a regular basis laxatives, but with cathartic therapy in demand. The period of experiment was 6 weeks including 2 weeks baseline observation period and 4 weeks treatment. Assessment criteria: an overall assessment of all symptoms of patients and each patient's constipation and safety parameters were assessed. Results After treatment for 4 weeks, the total effective rate in three groups was 90.0% ,68.0% ,38.0% (all P <0.05). The difference was statistically significant. The normal shape of stool rate was 84.0% ,60.0% ,28.0%. PEG group were better than the other 2 groups at baseline in the first defecation time, the average times of bowel movements per week, theutilization of laxatives during treatment, while symptom score improvement in the stool was significantly better than other groups after treatment. The safety parameters including liver and kidney function, lectrolytes, glucose, ECG, symptoms of schizophrenia such as PANSS score had no obvious change in each group after treatment. Conclusion PEG 3350 plus electrolytes was effective and safe in the treatment of clozapine-indueed constipation in chronic schizophrenia.

Objective To study the clinical effect of microsurgical treatment of craniopharyngioma by modified pterional approach. Methods Forty-one patients were carried out a retrospective case study with craniopharyngioma who underwent microsurgieal treatment via modified pterional approach at our department.Preoperative preparation mainly included hormone replacement therapy and prevention of epilepsy. The modified pterional approach was adopted. The patients' clinical indications were monitored postoperatively such as consciousness, blood pressure, in and out quantity of water, urine specific gravity, electrolytes, CT and MRI, and prompt prevention and treatment of the complications including diabetes insipidus and disorder of electrolytes were carried out after the surgery.Meanwhile, measures were taken to prevent postoperative epilepsy and low level of hormone. Results Thrrty-three patients had total craniopharyngioma resection, 5 had subtotal craniopharyngioma resection and 3 had partial craniopharyngioma resection, and all of them survived from the surgery.2 to 19 months postoperative follow-up showed that 32 patients could normally live, study and work, while 9 patients had to be assisted for normal lives. There was a recurrence of the tumor in 3 patients out of 8 patients that had subtotal and partial craniopharyngioma resection within 12 months postoperatively. Conclusion Adopting modified pterional approach plus efficient and effective perioperative management can reduce the damage rate of hypothalamus and improve the total resection rate of the craniopharyngioma, and achieve good results of the treatment.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(07):-
Helicobacter pylori(Hp) is an important pathogenic factor in chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer. With the extensive use of broad-spectrum atibiotics in recent years, the antibiotic resistence of Hp was increasing, together with many side effets and low patient compliance,so the study of new anti-Hp drugs became a research hotspot.Domestic and foreign scholars had extracted active anti-Hp ingredients from the traditional Chinese drug curcuma, they hope to open a new way for the treatment of Hp infection. This paper was to make a brief overview on the study progress of effect of curcuma on anti-Hp.

The clinicopathological data of 173 cases of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT)were retrospectively analyzed.Among them 125 were males and 48 females with a mean age of 47.9 y (5-78 y).The lesions of 117 cases were located in lungs,41 cases in eyes,8 in ileocecum,2 in liver,2 in spleen,1 in abdominal wall,1 in maxillary sinus and 1 in face. The average diameter of lesions were 3.5 cm,ranging from 1.0 cm to 7.0 cm.The clinical manifestations were not specific, depending on the locations of tumor. The imaging examinations were helpful for diagnosis. The prcsence of slender-spindled myofibroblasts and proliferation of fibroblast cells, with infiltration of chronic inflammatory cells were the basic histopathological features of the disease.Combined with the histological characteristics and immunohistochemical staining IMT can be differentiated from other spindle cell tumors.Appropriate surgical resection is the main treatment for IMT.
