Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(15):-
AIM:To investigate the process and advantages of wound repair at one stage after repair of nasal skin defect with bilobed flap.METHODS:Under local infiltration anesthesia, nasal skin defects were repaired by bilobed skin flaps. The normal skin around the defect was designed for bilobed island skin flaps. The maximum size of the flaps was 1.8 cm?2.5 cm,and the minimum size was 0.8 cm?1.0 cm.And then the flaps were transferred to repair the defects. The distances from incisions to margin of lesions were as follow:hemangioma was 0.2 cm,basal cell carcinoma was 0.5-0.7 cm,and melanoma was 1.0 cm.The depths of incisions reached superficial fascia layer.Complete hemostasis of wound was performed.RESULTS:Fifty of 92 patients were followed up for 6 months, and 42 of them were followed up for 12 months. In all patients, the nasal skin defects were repaired completely with primary healing. The color and texture of the flap were the samilar with the adjacent skin, and the nose contour and cosmetic results were satisfactory.CONCLUSION:Repair of bilobed island skin flap for nasal skin defeets was simple, and the efficacy was satisfactory.

3.Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide prevents oxidation and skin aging
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(41):7272-7277
BACKGROUND:Studies have shown that Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides have biological activities of anti-viral, anti-tumor, enhance immunity, anti-oxidative and anti-aging. OBJECTIVE:To observe the biological effect of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides on the antioxidant capacity of D-galactose induced aging mice skin tissues, and to observe the effect in postponing skin aging. METHODS:Forty-four 2-month-old Kunming mice were randomly divided into four groups:normal control group, aging model group, vitamin E group, and Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide group. Rats in the last three groups received subcutaneous injection (nape area) of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide to establish rat aging models, and intragastric administration of corresponding drugs or saline was performed. After 42 days, pathological sections of back skin were obtained to assess the morphological changes of skin tissues, measure the epidermal and dermal thickness, and detect the superoxide dismutase levels and the expression of CuZn-superoxide dismutase mRNA. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The epidermal and dermal thickness in the vitamin E group and Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide group were increased when compared with the aging model group. The superoxide dismutase levels in the Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide group were significantly higher than those in the other two groups. The decreased degree of cycle threshold value in the Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide group was lower than that in the other two groups. The results indicate that Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide can increase the epidermal and dermal thickness, improve the skin tissue structure, and enhance the superoxide dismutase levels and the expression of CuZn-superoxide dismutase mRNA.

Objective To explore the curative effects of color Doppter ultrasound guided interventional therapy in pelvic cyst. Methods From July 2006 to June 2008,the color Doppler ultrasound guided transabdominal or transvaginal puncture was performed in 34 pelvic cysts among 32 diagnosed cases, absolute alcohol was injected into the cysts for sclerotherapy. Results Among 34 cysts, the treatment only failed in one cyst of one case because of the over ropy hydatid fluid, which was hard to be aspirated. All of the cases were followed up for three months.Twenty-seven cysts were cured after the first treatment, the cure rate was 79.4%(27/34).The maximum diameter of other 4 cysts decreased more than 1/2.The effective rate was 91.2%(31/34) after the first puncture.Finally,33 cases showed curative effect after the puncture therapy, the total effective rate was 97.1%(33/34).No serious complications were observed. Conclusion This therapy is a simple, accurately, safe and effective treatment for many indications. It's worthy to be recommended in the therapy of pelvic cyst.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(06):-
Response surface analysis (uniform precision of central composite design, SAS 9.1.3 software) was applied to optimize the four major factors (ratio of soybean meal to water, enzyme quantity, fermentation time and inoculation quantity) for soybean meal solid fermentation. According to the change of the hydrolyzation degree of soybean protein, the equation of polynomial regression was established between those factors and the response. The result showed that the optimum condition included as follows: ratio of soybean meal to water 1∶1.00,enzyme quantity 2.55%, fermentation time 65h and inoculation quantity 1.00%. Under the optimum level, the degree of hydrolyzation reached 13.3%, which increased 56% over pre-optimization.

Microbiology 2008;0(10):-
Characters of one Candida intermedia yeast strain which isolated from nature can produce ethanol from xylose-fermenting been systemic studied. In conditions 28?C, 120 r/min, 72 h, it can produce 6.480 g/L ethanol from 7% xylose and 43.70% theoretical production of ethanol from 3% xylose. It can produce up to 21.225 g/L ethanol when incubation time prolong to 156 h from 8% xylose. It also can ferment 13% glucose produce 47.647 g/L ethanol and reach 76.90% of theoretical ethanol production, respectively. Compared to CK, ethanol productivity can be improved 9.91% when add 8% xylose in three times as 3%, 2% and 3%, respectively. Glucose can be first utilized in the mixture sugar medium. When the ratio of xylose vs. glucose is 3:1in mixture sugar, the productivity of ethanol can be improving 25%.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(04):-
Objective To study the image features and clinical significance of 3-dimensional (3-D)and multiplanar reconstruction with spiral CT(SCT) in cervical spinal fractures.MethodPlain film radiography and spiral CT scanning were taken for 26 cases of cervical spinal fractures. The type of fractures, diagnositic successful rate, parameter of scanning and late stage managing methods were investigated retrospectively to find out the effective difference between the diagnosis of plain X-ray and SCT. The imagin location of fractures, sequence of cenrum, heighth of centrum, fracture line, auxillary structure and rotation/dislocation of the fractures were emphasized to evaluate the advantages of 3-D imaging.ResultIn the 26 cases, there were 4 Jefferson fractures, (in which 1 combined with articular dislocations), 17 C2 spinous process fractures, (in which 1 had failure of plain X-ray diagnostic), 1 Hangman fracture, 2 C1~2 imbalance, (in which 1 had failure of plain X-ray diagnostic). There were 2 cases of axoid longitudinal fractures without obvious dislocation. The diagnositic successful rate were 100% in SCT group, while 65% in X-ray group in which 6 cases had diagnostic failure and 3 cases had fracture mis-diagnozing as dislocation. The anatomical structure of upper cervical spine was complicated and was significantly different from other cervical spine constructions. Spiral CT could reveal high resolution images of the upper cervical spine, morphosis of vertibral canal, dislocation information of fracture mass and its relation with neighbouring tissues. Especially in C1 burst fracture,C2 dens fracture and C1~2 dislocation, SCT could provide clear 3-D information of the size of collateral mass and the dislocation degree, furthermore, images could be rotated freely to observe the fracture in any proper section. That provides important information for the decision of operation, selection of operation types and evaluation of operation dager.ConclusionThe spiral CT scan and 3D reconstruction can reveal fracture better. The advantages of SCT are suggested that this diagnostic modality may be the standard method for the initial evaluation of the upper cervical spine injury.
