Objective　To observe the effects of epithelial growth factor (EGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) on wound healing of the penetration keratoplasty (PKP) with autograft in rabbits. Methods　After the establishment of penetrating keratic autograft model on 24 rabbits, they were equally divided into EGF-, bFGF-, EGF+bFGF-treated and control groups. The wound healing of all the animals were observed with healing intensity, liquid scintillation counter, AgNORs staining, VG staining and transmission electron microscopy. Results　①EGF, bFGF, and EGF+bFGF increased the limiting pressure of the wounds and the 3H-TdR incorporation. ②The fibroblast cells and its secreting proliferative collagen in both the bFGF group and EGF+bFGF group were more well-arranged. Conclusion　①EGF, bFGF, EGF+bFGF can obviously elevate the intensity of wound healing after PKP and enhance the synthesis of DNA. ②The effect of this agent combination is just as the same as bFGF applied alone 14 d after the operation. ③bFGF can improve the quality of wound healing after PKP.

Objective To assess the clinical diagnostic value of left atrial function index (LAFI) for heart failure with normal left ventricular ejection fraction (HFNEF).Methods One hundred and ten patients with HFNEF were divided into 3 groups by New York Heart Association (NYHA) cardiac functional grading:NYHA Ⅱ grade group (43 cases),NYHA Ⅲ grade group (40 cases) and NYHA Ⅳ grade group (27 cases),and another 33 healthy subjects were selected as control group.The 4 groups were examined by ultrasoundcardiogram,LAFI and E/E' were calculated,and the plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP)levels were determined.The relation between LAFI and NYHA cardiac functional grading and the correlation between LAFI and plasma BNP,E/E' were observed.Results The worse heart function,the higher plasma BNP and E/E',and the lower LAFI,and there were statistical differences [control group:(40.9 ± 26.1) ng/L,6.4 ± 2.0,0.73 ± 0.10,NYHA Ⅱ grade group:(230.1 ± 85.9) ng/L,10.0 ± 3.7,0.46 ± 0.30,NYHA Ⅲ grade group:(398.6 ±98.7) ng/L,16.9 ±4.0,0.26 ± 0.30,NYHA Ⅳ grade group:(680.3 ± 146.6) ng/L,23.8 ± 3.9,0.17 ± 0.20,P ＜ 0.05].The correlation analysis results showed that LAFI and plasma BNP,E/E' were negatively correlated in patients with HFNEF (r =-0.868,-0.873,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions In HFNEF patients,there is significant correlation between LAFI and left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.LAFI can well diagnose diastolic heart failure early and evaluate the diastolic function of the left ventricle.

Objective　To observe the effect of epidemic growth factor (EGF) combining with basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) on wound healing of the penetrative keratic autoplasy in rabbits. 　 Methods　All 18 rabbits (36 eyes) were randomly divided into 9 groups and undergone penetrative keratic autoplasy, eyedrop.Diameters of the trephines were all 6 mm. Liquid scintillation counter was used to measure the incorporation rate of 3H-TdR. Pressure-detector was used to survey the intensity of keratic wound healing. AgNORs staining was used to count the fibroblast cells at keratic wound. VG staining, AgNORs staining and transmission electron microscopy were used to observe the morphological changes of keratic wound.　Results　(1) Both the wound intensity and the number of fibroblast cells of combination groups were higher than the 2 control groups in 8 days. (2) From the 14 th day to 21 st day, the wound intensity, the number of fibroblast cells and the incorporation rate of 3H-TdR in wound healing had no obvious difference from the positive control groups. 　Conclusions　 At the primary time, EGF combining with bFGF topic is more efficient to accelerate the wound healing of PKP. But the effect of this combination topic is just the same as bFGF topic alone 14 days later.

Objective To investigate the effect of hysterectomy and uterine arterial embolization on the function of ovary.Methods The serum concentrations of estrin(E2), progestogen(P),fouicule-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteotropic hormone(LH) and prolaction(PRL) were measured in 18 patients undergone hysterectomy (group Ⅰ),15 patients undergone uterine arterial emboliation(group Ⅱ) and 30normal women (group Ⅲ or control group).These five hormones were compared in each group.Results The serum concentrations of E2 and P in the group Ⅰ were lower than that in group Ⅲ, there was significant difference between them.The serum concentrations of E2 and P in group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ was no significant difference.Conclusion Hysterectomy has significant effects on the function of ovary,while uterine arterial embolization has not.

435 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into 2 groups according to their fatty liver,then the relations between fatty liver and various parameters in two groups were observed and analyzed by statistical methods.Body mass index,HbA_1c and triglyceride were the risk factors for fatty liver.The prevalences of metabolic syndrome,hypertension and coronary heart disease in fatty liver group were significantly higher than those in the control group.

Objective To investigate somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (SSTR2) mRNA expression and its correlation with proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in human colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 60 colorectal cancer samples were analyzed. The SSTR2 mRNA expression was examined by in situ hybridization (ISH) using multiphase oligoprobes. The PCNA were detected by immunohistochemical staining. A computerized image analysis system was utilized to estimate the relative contents of SSTR2 mRNA. Results The positive rate of expression of SSTR2 mRNA and relative contents in early and well-differentiated colorectal cancer were higher than those in advanced and poorly differentiated lesion. A negative correlation between SSTR2 mRNA expression and PCNA was found in colorectal cancer. Conclusion In the samples of colorectal cancer, the expression of SSTR2 mRNA is correlated with the degree of differentiation and clinical stage, and it plays an important role in reflecting the degree of malignancy and prognosis.

Objective To study the sensitivity of radiotherapy on the cells in midsection and edge of glioma. Methods The glioma models were established in SD rats and exposed to X radiation. Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), apoptosis rate and cell phase of the cells in the midsection and edge of glioma were detected by immunohistochemical assay, terminal transferase dUTP nick ending labeling (TUNEL) and flow cytometry. This study was aimed to find the optimal conditions for seed propagation of Fritillaria cirrhosa in the plateau region in order to summarize the best sowing time and method of artificial propagation. Seeds were stored in appropriate environment. After the seeds matured, the seedbed of F. cirrhosa was treated with cattle dung humus and small shed. The results showed that early March is the best sowing time and cattle dung humus with a thickness about 1 cm is the best coving for propagation of F. cirrhosa; the growing period of film propagation (FP) is about 160 days each year compared with that of control about 50-60 days, respectively. It was concluded that the propagating seeds in plastic greenhouses by using cattle dung humus as planting substrates, using sunshade nets for shading and keeping humidity by spraying can effectively prolong the growing period, improve the retention rate of annual bulbs and the production of F. cirrhosa.

Objective　To evaluate the value of CT MRI in diagnosing skull base chondromas.Methods　8 cases of skull base chondromas were analyzed with etiology,pathology,imaging fetures and differential diagnosis.5 cases were female,3 cases were male,age ranged from 25 to 48 years.The clinical presentation of 8 cases of skull base chondromas had neurologic syndrome.And 3 cases were examined with CT,MR imaging ,4 cases with MR imaging,1 case with CT scanning.Results　In this series of 8 chondromas,3 located in the cavernous sinus,2 in the clival region,2 in the region of jugular foramen,1 in the frontal cranial fossa.Intratumoral calcification was found in 4 cases with CT examination.Heterogeneous enhancement was found in 4 cases with CT examination.The margin of chondromas on CT was well defined.Conclusion　CT have a very important diagnosis values for detecting tumors on chondromas.MRI is superior to CT for delineating the growth style of the tumor and its relationship to the surrounding anatomic structures.
