AIM:To compare the quality of Liuwei Dihuang Pill produced by different pharmaceutical companies by determining the content and the in vitro dissolution of paeonol and loganin of Liuwei Dihuang Pill.METHODS:The HPLC method was used for the assay of paeonol and loganin in Liuwei Dihuang Pill. The standard dissolution test was used to investigate the in vitro dissolution of paeonol and loganin.RESULTS:The content of paeonol and loganin from different manufacturers differed significantly.Six products differed significantly from one another in their in vitro dissolution(P

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(10):-
Hyperhomocysteinemia is an important independent risk factor for cardio-cerebrovas- cular diseases.Studies in recent years have suggested that hyperhomocysteinemia is also an independent risk factor for vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease.Mild vascular cognitive impairment is the prophase of vascular dementia.Mainly through the damage of vascular wall structure and its function, homocysteine may has correlation with mild vascular cognitive impairment.

Objective To explore the relationship between cadmium-induced inhibition of splenic lymphocyte function and cell apoptosis in vitro. Methods The splenic lymphocytes of mice were exposed to 3.10, 6.25, 12.50, 25.00, 50.00 μmol/L of cadmiun chloride (CdCl2) for various time period, to measure the lymphocyte transformation by MTT colorimetric assay and to detect the apoptosis in splenocytes by DNA agarose electrophoresis and flow cytometry (FACS).Results CdCl2 could significantly inhibit the function of lymphocyte transformation in a dose-response pattern at concentrations of 25.00 and 50.00 μmol/L, with inhibition rates of 50% and 78% in ConA-stimulating group and 39% and 55% in LPS-stimulating group, respectively.CdCl2 could also induce apoptosis of splenic cells at concentrations of 12.50 to 50.00 μmol/L.Results of FACS analysis showed 30%-60% of cell apoptosis.Higher concentration of CdCl2 could also cause reduction of cell survival.Effect of Cd-induced apoptosis was earlier and at a lower concentration of CdCl2 than that of Cd-induced inhibition of lymphocyte transformation. Conclusion CdCl2 could induce cell apoptosis in vitro, which was one of the mechanisms of its suppression of lymphocyte function.

Orange peel was used as lowcost adsorbent in binding of Methylene Blue. The effects of equilibrium time,pH,dye concentration have been studied.Carboxyl, amine and phosphonate functional groups were present in the orange peel. The equilibrium time was 1 hour, the maximum adsorption capacities of the orange peel was 370.3?31.0 mg/g at pH 10.The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were well fitted in this biosorption system. Results showed relatively higher rate constant and biosorption capacities. These adsorption performance indicate the orange peel as a potentially economical adsorbent for dye removal.

Objective To study the chemical constituents of the organic acid part from Camptosorus sibiricus. Methods The compounds were isolated by chromatography on silica gel column and identified on the basis of physicochemical constants and spectral analysis. Results Ten compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as 11,12,15-trihydroxy-13-en-octadecenoic acid(Ⅰ),caffeic acid(Ⅱ),courmaric acid(Ⅲ),protocatechuic acid(Ⅳ),4-hydroxybenzoic acid(Ⅴ),isovanillic acid(Ⅵ),2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid(Ⅶ),cinnamic acid(Ⅷ),succinic acid(Ⅸ),palmitic acid(Ⅹ).Conclusion Compound Ⅰ is a new compound named as camptosoric acid and compounds Ⅲ-Ⅹ are obtained from the plants of Camptosorus Link for the first time.

Objective To expand the application of electrochemical immunosensor during deleting aflatoxin B1 in foods and feeds through analyzing impacts of the time of antibody incubation and sample preparation .Methods T he double self-assembly immu-nosensor combined with aflatoxin B1 and carboxylated single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) was characterized by cyclic volta-mmetry and impacts of the time of antibody incubation and sample preparation methods were investigated .Results The signal in-creased gradually following the increasing time of antibody incubation and reached a plateau at 90 min and sample preparation meth-ods showed a comparatively large impact on results .Additionally ,the crude extractions purified through removing interfering com-pounds by immunoaffinity column could effectively eliminate the interference effects of sample matrix .Conclusion Deleting aflatox-in B1 by electrochemical immunosensor is characterized by various features ,such as fast ,simple and low detection limits .The pres-ent study shows that stability of the electrochemical immunosensor is affected by the time of antibody incubation and sample prepa-ration .
