1.Adjunctive reflections on history of hematopoietic stem cell study--editorial.
Journal of Experimental Hematology 2005;13(5):723-732
The article reviews concisely around the history of hematopoietic stem cell research, basic and clinical, since its very beginning after the nuclear explosions at the end of the Second World War, that explains why the stem cell study in the world began with the hematopoietic stem cells and the existence of non-hematopoietic stem cell in vivo had been left out of account for many decades till 21st century. During 50-60s of the last century, it was known from the animal experiments that there must be hematopoietic stem cells existing in vivo and believed that the effective bone marrow transplant is actually the stem cell transplantation. It is reviewed how the basic studies of stem cell interacted with the clinical stem cell transplantation and how great the contribution was given to strongly push forward the development of contemporary stem cell biology and modern hematology from the basic studies especially in the immunological and molecular biological fields, for instance, the applications of HLA technology and monoclonal antibody produced, flow cytometry, and genetic recombinant cytokines, the novel technique for gene cloning, genomics, proteomics, and iRNA as well as bioinformatics. It has lead to the pluralistic cell therapy as a novel trend in stem cell transplantation as to combine immunotherapy and mesenchymal stem cells with the conventional stem cell transplants. This paper looks back in the past several decades, however, on every achievement of stem cell study that were usually accompanied with some idealistic one-sidedness or even errors in design and conclusion of some experiments. Usually it took a period of 2 or even 4 decades to clarify some basic idea, that seemed normal in the science development, for examples, the dividing line between the hematopoietic stem cell and progenitor cells, possibility to expand or clone the real stem cell ex vivo, and whether the majority of leukemias are originated from stem cell level, etc. Towards the end of 20th century, the greatest discovery was the existence of adult stem cells in adult tissues, which are no doubt the remnants from the embryonic development including all stages of embryonic stem cells, very earlier and later, hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic, and could be induced to differentiate into all kinds of tissue cells by proper ways in vitro. No evidence has really provided for the hypothesis of so called trans-differentiation or de-differentiation, which brought about strong calls in questions in the past 5 years. The problems in developing the clinical gene therapy by using hematopoietic stem cell as carrier of interested gene still remained to be solved so far. Because of the relatively weak base of related basic studies, the clinical application of gene therapy resulted in the failure of clinical practice with lots of lessons towards the end of last century. The whole history of stem cell study in the world was an endless process of continuous redress for theoretical ideas in stem cell biology that had never been consummate.

China Medical Equipment 2014;(12):88-89
Objective:The role of the medical instruments in clinical diagnosis and treatment is getting more and more important, especially the application of new technologies and equipment promote and improve the level of clinical diagnosis and treatment, and the advantages bring the gospel to the patients. However, due to the limitations of technologies, tools, design and lack of materials, the medical instruments introduced to the hospital existing defects. Meanwhile, operation staff’s inadequate knowledge poses potential hazard to the health care’s quality. Methods: So now days when referring to the medical quality control, we should and must concern about the quality control of medical equipment to improve health care quality control standards. The essay comes forward preliminary method to carry out medical equipment quality control system established work with the dissecting of the present health care quality situation. Results:These jobs are the basic, whether to carry out the job and promote health care quality management depend on the practice of competent departments and professionals. But most hospitals are reusing and repurchasing and ignoring the medical equipment control quality, these situations need to be correct immediately. Conclusion:Otherwise, the development of medical technologies will increased the risk and damage to the improvement of health care, even the price of life.

Objective To investigate impacts of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) co-infection on immune responses and clinical manifestations in acute infection of dengue virus type 1.Methods The serum levels of interferon (IFN)a,IFNβ,IFNγ,interleukin (IL)-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)α of 310 dengue serotype 1 (DENV1)-infected patients were assessed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA),among which 8% (25/310) were chronic HBV co-infection.Meanwhile,serum samples from 41 healthy adults and 47 chronic HBV infected subjects were recruited as controls.Comparisons among groups were done by one factor analysis of variance and correlation analysis of results was done by spearman rank correlation test. Results The serum level of IFN-α [(95.1 ± 279.3) pg/mL] was significantly higher than IFN-β[(2.8 ± 16.2) pg/mL] during acute dengue infection, while IFN-α level [(86.5±358.1) pg/mL] reduced in patients with HBV co-infection.The secretion kinetics of IFNα,IFNγ (pro-inflammatory cytokine) and IL-10 (anti-inflammatory cytokine)were analyzed. The medians of IFNα,IFNβ and IL-10 level were elevated to peak on day 2,day 3-4and day 6 after fever onset, respectively.Additionally,IFNα levels in patients with only dengue infection were negatively correlated with the platelet counts and serum alanine aminotransferase levels (r=-0.2327,0.2122,both P<0.01).Conclusions Chronic HBV co-infection alters human immune responses elicited by acute dengue viral infection. Moreover,IFNα secretion may be associated with hemorrhagic tendency, while protective against inflammatory damage of liver.

International Eye Science 2014;(12):2168-2171
Corneal newborn lymphatic vessels construct the afferent arc of corneal immunological reaction, which play important role in immune response. The corneal transplantation rejection rate rises due to the emergence of new lymphatic vessel which breaks the immunologic mechanism. With the founding of specific marker of lymphatic endothelial cells and research advancing of growth factor of lymphatic vessels, the mechanism, therapy and prevention of corneal immunological rejection reaction of corneal lymphatic vessel have been studied intensively. The graft survival rate has been greatly improved through inhibiting newborn lymphatic vessel.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of sodium nilroprusside(SNP) with remifentanil or fentanyl used for controlled hypotension during the pediatric patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) operations. Methods Sixty children undergoing operation were randomly divided into SNP with fentanyl (A group) or remifentanil (B group). Hemodynamic changes in different times and adverse reactions were observed. Results In B group, heart rate was stable and blood pressure declined quickly. The dose of SNP was fewer and hemodynamic changes and recovery from anesthesia were better in B group than in A group. Conclusion Remifentanil could potentiate the hypotensive effect of SNP and decrease adverse reaction.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2024;36(2):119-122
Objective:
To investigate the awareness of hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge and its influencing factors among female sex workers (FSWs) in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province.
Methods:
According to the HIV/AIDS Sentinel Surveillance Plan, FSWs at ages of 15 to 65 years monitored by the national AIDS surveillance sentinel in Jiaxing City were recruited, and demographic information, awareness of hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge and related behaviors were collected by questionnaire surveys. Factors affecting the awareness of hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge were identified by a multivariable logistic regression model.
Results:
A total of 430 questionnaires were allocated, and 412 were valid, with an effective rate of 95.81%. The respondents had a mean age of (28.58±4.93) years, and included 258 unmarried FSWs (62.62%), 344 with registered residence outside Zhejiang Province (83.50%), 212 with junior high school education or below (51.46%) and 243 from high-end entertainment places (58.98%). The overall awareness of hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge among FSWs was 20.39%, and the awareness of "Transfusion of blood containing hepatitis C virus may acquire hepatitis C" (38.83%) and the awareness of "tattooing, eyebrow tattooing and ear piercing in streets or small shops may infect hepatitis C" (38.11%) were relatively low. Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified marital status (divorced or widowed, OR=0.161, 95%CI: 0.054-0.482), educational level (high school or technical secondary school, OR=2.568, 95%CI: 1.446-4.560; junior college or above, OR=6.110, 95%CI: 2.658 -14.045) and grade of entertainment places (high-end entertainment places, OR=2.756, 95%CI: 1.525-4.982) as factors affecting the awareness of hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge among FSWs.
Conclusion
FSWs in Jiaxing City have a low awareness of hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge, especially lacking of knowledge about the transmission routes and prognosis of hepatitis C.
