3.Sialoendoscopic exploration and drug perfusion in the treatment of chronic obstructive parotitis

Objective To investigate manifestations of chronic obstructive parotitis (COP) under sialoendoscope and to evaluate curative effects of duct dilatation and drug perfusion for COP. Methods Twelve patients with COP were examined by sialoendoscopy. Treatment was performed by duct dilatation and gentamycin perfusion one week later. Results There were 11 cases of sialodochitis (complicated by sialostenosis in 7 cases, including 4 cases of polyps and 2 cases of mucus embolism, and simple sialodochitis in 4 cases) and 1 case of simple sialostenosis. Follow-up for 4 weeks showed that results were excellent in 4 cases, good in 7 cases, and poor in 1 case. Conclusions Sialoendoscopic exploration with dilatation procedure and drug perfusion offers certain short-term curative effects in the management of COP.
4.Determination the Contents of Bruchine and Strychine in Pingxiao Tablet by RP-HPLC

Objective To establish the RP-HPLC method for determination of Bruchine and Strychine in Pingxiao Tablet. Methods The lichrospher C18 (4.6 mm?250 mm, 5 ?m) was Used as the stationary phase. The Mobile phase consisted of water-acetonitrile (60∶40) with 1.7 g sodium dodecylsulphate and 3.4 g KH2PO4 in 1 000 mL mixture. The Detecting wavelength was 254 nm and flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. The column temperature was 25 ℃. Result The linear ranage of Bruchine and Strychine were 0.102~0.918 ?g and 0.208 ~ 1.872 ?g respectively. The recovery rates of bruchine and strychnine were 101.07% (RSD=2.26%) and 99.29% (RSD=2.79%) respectively. Conclusion This method is realiable and accurate, the method can be applied to determination the contents of Bruchine and Strychine in Pingxiao Tablet.

The process mechanism and current application status of boron removal in reverse osmosis(RO)desalination were introduced.The characteristic and proper application range of eachboron removal process was summarized.Also,the running conditions of two practical desalination cases were analyzed and compared.Eventually,the future of application and the research direction of boron removal process in RO desalination were prospected.
6.Effect of improvement activity of nursing projects in rate of nasogastric tube unscheduled extubation

Objective To reduce the rate of unscheduled nasogastric extubation for the patients in neurology department.Methods A nursing care team was set up for a thematic activity to reduce the rate of nasogastric tube unscheduled extubation.The team analysed the situations of 164 patients with nasogastric intubation in the neurology department,specifying the problems,deciding their aims and working out the strategies.Result The rate of unscheduled nasogastric extubation decreased from 19.63% to 2.12% and the rate of nursing omission decreased from 9.93% to 2.59% (P<0.05).Conclusion The improvement activity of nursing projects can effectively reduce the rate of unscheduled nasogastric extubation and improve the quality of nursing care.
7.Building and put the emergency nursing program for burst group accidents into practice

Objective To find out the weakness in the emergency nursing for burst group accidents, and then building a normative nursing program which have included framework and 4 stages. Methods Using the method of Fish-Bone Drawing to analyzed the nursing courses in 22 burst accidents within the past 4 years retrospectively. Results After using the normative nursing program, nurses have known their own working targets and responsibility, which can apply the nursing care effectively and orderly. Conclusion The application of emergency nursing program is a kind of quick and proper nursing method, which can improve the patients' prognosis effectively.
8.Research progress of leukotriene B4 receptor antagonists

Leukotriene B4 (LTB4) is a proinflammatory lipid mediator that is synthesized by a number of inflammatory cells. Binding of LTB4 to its receptor leukotriene B4 receptor 1 (BLT1) can migrate neutrophils and macrophages to inflammatory sites through chemotaxis and up-regulation of adhesion molecules. Many researches have shown that LTB4-BLT1 axis is related to the occurrence of autoimmune disorders and other inflammatory diseases. Receptor antagonists of LTB4 are thus expected to be useful therapeutics for these diseases. In this review, we briefly describe the biological function of LTB4 and summarize the preclinical and clinical developments of LTB4 receptor antagonists.
9.Effects of heart displacement on hemodynamics during off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery

Objective To investigate the effects of heart displacement on hemodynamics during off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OP-CABG) while the sites for anastomosis were being exposed. Methods Forty-seven patients of both sexes (36 male, 11 female) aged 50-82 years undergoing OP-CABG were enrolled in the study. Preoperative cardiac function was assessed : class Ⅱ in 22 patients; Ⅲ in 23 and Ⅳ in 2 according to NYHA classification.The mean ejection fraction was 0.55?0.14 before surgery.They received on average 3.2 grafts. Premedication consisted of intramuscular morphine 10 mg, midazolam 3-5 mg and scopolamine 0.3 mg.Before induction of anesthesia ECG and SpO2 were monitored and radial artery was cannulated for continuous direct BP monitoring. Anesthesia was induced with midazolam 0.1 nig?kg-1 , fentanyl 4?g?kg-1 and pancuronium 0.1 mg?g-1 iv.The patients were mechanically ventilated after tracheal intubation and PETCO2 was maintained at about 40 mm Hg. Anesthesia was maintained with isoflurane and 50%-60% N2O in O2 and intermittent intravenous boluses of fentanyl and pancuronium. Swan-Ganz catheter which can continuously monitor mixed venous blood O2 saturation (SvO2) was placed in pulmonary artery via right internal jugular vein. SvO2, cardiac output (CO), BP, pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP) and HR were continuously monitored. Right atrial pressure (RAP) and PAWP were measured intermittently. Cardiac index (CI),stroke index (SI),systemic vascular resistance index (SVRI),PVRI, left and right ventricular work index (LVWI,RVWI) and left and right ventricular stroke work index (LVSWI,RVSWI) were calculated. The hemodynamic parameters were recorded after induction of anesthesia before surgery (T1,baseline),before heart displacement (T2), while anastomosis to anterior descending branch was being made (T3), while anastonosis to right coronary artery or posterior descending branch (T4) and to left circumflex artery or diagonal branch (T5) was being made, after normal heart position was resumed (T6) and at the end of operation (T7). Objective To study inflammatory reaction induced by N-protein of severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)-coronavirus(CoV)in human alveolar typeⅡepithelial cell(A549). Methods Effects on growth of A549 cell by N-protein of SARS-CoV:activity of A549 cells was determined by thiazylyl blue colorimetry assay at 24,48,72 and 96 h,respectively.Effects on cyto- kine production by A549 cells exposed to N-protein of SARS-CoV:interleukin(IL)-6,IL-10 and transforming growth factor-?1(TGF-?1)concentration in culture supernatant were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Effects on mRNA expression of cytokine of A549 cells and matrix metalloproteinases-9(MMP-9)exposed to N-protein of SARS-CoV:total RNA of A549 cells was extracted using Rneasy mini kit;RT-PCR was employed to measure the mRNA expression of IL-6,IL-10,TGF-?1 and MMP-9 semiquantitatively.Results Different concentrations of N-protein could all inhibit the growth of A549 cells(after 48 h)and the inhibition by 20?g/mL pro- tein was the strongest.Compared with the control group(0.737?0.024,0.968?0.007),the A val- ues of experimental groups at 72 h and 96 h(0.672?0.027,0.799?0.092)decreased obviously (P
