1.Whole sequence amplification of an expressed sequence tag in immune cells of F344 rats with severe burns
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
AIM: To examine the changes in immune cells which might be involved in systemic immune dysfunction after severe burns, we detected the sequence of expressed sequence tag in lymphocytes and monocytes of F344 rats post-burn. METHODS: Two pairs of primers were designed depending on the sequence of AI764697.1. SMART RACE technology was employed for amplification of whole sequence. Furthermore, the amplified sequence was testified by Northern blot. RESULTS: A 592bp sequence, which was testified by Northern blot, was suceessfally obtained in our experiments. This product was accepted by GenBank and its accession number is AF244895. CONCLUSION: A cDNA whole sequence in immune cells of F344 rats after severe burns was amplified successfully. More research work should be done to identify the resource, location in genome and function of this product.
2.Optimization of Ethanol-Extracting Process of Semen Ziziphi Spinosae in Suanzaoren Granules
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(06):-
Objective To study the optimum process for Suanzaoren granules, and to optimize the ethanol-extracting process for jujuboside A in Semen Ziziphi Spinosae. Methods With the extracting rate of jujuboside A as the index,HPLC was used to determine the content of jujuboside A in extracted solution and the extracting conditions were optimized by orthogonal design. Results The optimum extracting condition was adding 8 times amount of 70% ethanol and refluxing for 60 min, then adding 6 times amount of 70% ethanol, refluxing and extracting for 40 min(two times). Conclusion The optimized process is stable and highly efficient.
3.Analysis on missing items of questionnaire of identification for TCM constitution responded by 1322 residents in community
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2011;33(11):1006-1008
ObjectiveTo study the missing items in questionnaire cfidentification for TCM constitution.MethodsThe questionnaires were regarded as study objects, which were independently finished by 1322 participants in Changfeng community who were over 45 years and agreed to participate in.The data'was analyzed by SPSS.ResultsMissing items were found in the questionnaires, with a missing rate of 33.74% on an overall basis. No statistic difference was noted between male and female (x2=0.67,P>0.05).The rate of missing items increased as participants' age climbing up to the age of 80,and then decreased.Groups characterized with age and gender showed difference in missing items.89.69% of the incomplete questionnaires had less than 3 missing items, which concentrated in some specific items.ConclusionAttention should be addressed to the fact that missing items were found in questionnaircs of identification for TCM constitution finished independently by residents.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(04):-
Objective To explore drinking water pollution by algae in Wuhan. Methods Sampling was carried out in different kinds of tap waters and tank waters for algae detection and identification. Results The detection rate of algae in tap waters was 89% in tank water it was 86% and at the same spot the genera and number of algae in the tank waters increased by 37% and 60% compared with the tap waters respectively. Conclusion Drinking water has been polluted by algae in different degree in Wuhan.
5. Expression of angiopoietin-related growth factor in obese patients and its significance
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2011;32(1):37-39
Objective: To investigate the expression of angiopoietin-related growth factor (AGF) in obese patients and its relationship with body mass index(BMI), waist circumference(WC), waist-hip ratio(WHR), blood glucose(FBG), plasma insulin(FINS) levels, and HOMA-insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR). Methods: Plasma AGF levels were assayed by ELISA in 40 patients with obesity and 40 normal controls. The relationship of AGF level with BMI, WC, WHR, HbA 1c, blood lipids, FBG, FINS, and HOMA-IR was also analyzed. Results: AGF levels in patients with obesity were significantly increased compared with that in the control group ([177.55±74.09] ng/ml vs [122.37±66.91] ng/ml, P<0.05). We also found that AGF level was positively correlated with Triglyceride(TG), FINS and HOMA-IR(r=0.325, P<0.05; r = 0.451, P<0.01; r = 0.483, P<0.01); and was negatively correlated with high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL, r= -0.529, P<0.01). Multiple regression analysis showed that HDL, BMI and FINS were the factors influencing AGF levels. Binomial Logistic regression analysis indicated that AGF level was positively correlated with obesity after adjusting sex, age, total cholesterol (TC), TG, HDL and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL) (OR>1). Conclusion: The change of AGF level is associated with the metabolism disorder in obese patients, and it may also contribute to the pathogenesis of obesity.

Chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG), a chronic disease of the digestive system resulting from multi-pathogenic factors, is precancerous state of gastric cancer. Authors reviewed the current situation of Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment of CAG, and looked forward to its prospect by combining with their own clinical experience and scientific researches.

Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2016;31(17):1288-1292
Methylmalonic acidemia(MMA) is one of the most common diseases of autosomal recessive inherited organic acid metabolic disorder, which can cause multiple organ involvement. It can be found in infants or even in the neonatal period and be manifested as feeding difficulty, repeated vomiting, convulsions, abnormal muscle tension, mental retardation, hemolytic uremic syndrome(HUS),etc. In which HUS caused by MMA is better and better known by pediatricians when treating renal diseases while the diagnosis rate is increasing year by year. This article reviews the epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and treatment of HUS associated with MMA.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 1995;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the changes of hair growth with the increase of age and to develop a new practical method to evaluate the extent of aging. Methods After the approval of the ethnic committee, 96 healthy volunteers (44 males, 52 females, aged 30 ~ 78 years) were recruited into the study and divided into 4 groups based on the age: 30-group, 40-group, 50-group and 60-group. Macrophotographs were taken from the vertex. Hair density and percentages of black hairs were counted using Photoshop7.0 software. Ten hairs were randomly plucked from the specified scalp area, and the diameters of hair shaft and hair bulb were examined by a micrometer. The percentages of the follicles, based on their morphology, at different phases of the hair cycle, were counted. Results With the increase of age, the hair density, diameters of hair shaft as well as hair bulb, the percentages of anagen follicles and grey hairs all decreased, while the percentages of telogen follicles and white hairs increased, and significant difference was found between the 60-group and other 3 groups. In each group, the difference between males and females was found only in some parameters. The diameter of hair bulb positively correlated with that of hair shaft. Conclusion This study suggests that the parameters of hair growth could be used to help rating the extent of aging.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1994;0(04):-
Effects of salviae miltiorrhizae (SM) and SOD on serum and tissue (liver, intestine) lipid peroxidation were studied on rabbits in reperfusion after hemor rhage shock. The results showed that both SM and SOD could effectively reduce the serum MDA,while the inhibitory effect of SM on tissue (intestine) lipid Peroxidation was more significant than that of SOD.90 min after shock,18 rabbits were equally divided into 3 groups, one third of shed blood was re-infused and simultaneously teperfused with balanced salt solution (BSS) (group A), SOD in BSS (group B) and SM in BSS (group C). After reperfusion, serum MDA increased significantly in group A, while serum in MDA in group B and C decreased gradually and was significantly lower than that of group A after reperfusion of 3 hr (I3). Intestine MDA in group C was evidently lower than that in group A (P
