1.Activation of MAPK~(ERK1/2) signal transduction pathway in the hippocampal formation of rat after experimental seizure
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(03):-
Objective:To investigate the spatiotemporal distribution pattern of active ERK1/2 in rat hippocampal formation following pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus(SE) and to discuss its significance. Methods:The lithium-pilocarpine-induced model of SE was established to evaluate the phosphorylation forms of ERK1/2(p-ERK1/2) by immunohistochemistry and observe histopathology changes at different times after pilocarpine injection. Results:The p-ERK1/2 immunoreactivity was observed only in neurites of saline-treated rats hippocampal formation. In pilocarpine-treated rats, the hippocampal neurons showed a strong immunoreactivity of p-ERK1/2 in the body at 30 min which peaked at 2h after pilocarpine injection, while decreased markedly at 6h and returned to basal level at 12h.There were more immunoreactive positive cells in dentate gyrus than those in regions of CA1 and CA3.Many injured neurons were found in hippocampus of SE rats. Conclusion:MAPK ERK1/2 signal transduction pathway can be activated in SE induced by pilocarpine, and may play a critical role in the pathophysiological process of neuron injury and protection related to seizure, and even mediate further long-lasting morphological changes.
2.Treating Cancer-related Fatigue after Chemotherapy in Lung Cancer Patients by Yiqi Jianpi Recipe: a Clinical Study.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(9):1069-1073
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yiqi Jianpi Recipe (YJR) in treating cancer-related fatigue (CRF) after chemotherapy in lung cancer patients. Methods Totally 124 lung cancer patients were assigned to the treatment group (63 cases) and the control group (61 cases) according to random digit table. All patients received pre-set chemotherapy regimens according their conditions. Patients in the treatment group took YJR Decoction from the 1st day of chemotherapy, one dose per day for 2 successive weeks, while those in the control group took no Chinese medical decoction. Changes of each dimensional scoring and the total scoring were observed by cancer fatigue scale (CFS) in the two groups one day before chemotherapy, on the 3rd day and the 14th day after chemotherapy. The degree of bone marrow depression and recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CFS) doses were also observed after chemotherapy.
RESULTSCompared with one day before chemotherapy in the same group, scorings for emotional, perceptional, and somatologic dimensions, and the total scoring significantly increased on the 3rd day in the treatment group, as well as on the 3rd and the 14th day in the control group (P <0. 01). Scorings for emotional, perceptional, and somatologic dimensions, and the total scoring significantly decreased more at the fourteenth day after chemotherapy than at the 3rd day after chemotherapy (P <0. 01). There was statistical difference in the scoring for perceptional dimension at day 3 between the treatment group and the control group (P <0.01). However, scorings for emotional, perceptional, and somatologic dimensions, and the total scoring significantly decreased more at the fourteenth day after chemotherapy in the treatment group, with statistical difference when compared with those in the control group (P <0. 01). The occurrence rate of bone marrow depression was 70. 97% (44/62) in the treatment group and 68. 85% (42/61) in the control group. There was no significant difference in the occurrence rate between the two groups (χ2=0. 540, P >0.05). There was no statistical difference in rhG-CFS doses between the two groups (χ2=0. 696, P >0. 05).
CONCLUSIONYJD could significantly relieve CRF after chemotherapy in lung cancer patients, and obviously attenuate the effect of CRF on their daily life.

3.Investigation of prevention of adhesion of post-operation of transcervical resecition of septa
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2008;15(6):938-940
ObJective To investigate the efficacy of different treatments applied to infertility patients with u-terine septa undergoing transcervical resection of septa to prevent the post-operation adhesion. Methods 55 infertili-ty patients with uterine septa underwent laparoscopy guidance transcervical resecition of septa(TCRS), different treatments were given to the patients post-operation, including placement of IUD in uterus cavity or not, artificial cy-cle treatment, GnRH-a medication using post-operation, hysteroscopy examination was performed for the first and third month post surgery and IUD was taken out in the third month post surgery. Results Total 54 eases completed hysteroscopy examination follow-up visits,of which 40 cases completed total two times of hysteroscopy in the first and third month, and 14 eases completed only once hysteroscopy examination. Whether or not placement of IUD hadno effect on uterus cavity shape(P > 0.05). Compared to eases without using artificial cycle treatment post-opera-tion, the endometrium was thicker in the cases with it post-operation. Both cases using and not using artificial cycle treatment were found to have endometrium covered in fundus under hysteroscopy in the third month post-operation.The satisfactory cavity shape was achieved on patient receiving GnRH-a medication. Conclusion Placement of IUD is not helpful in preventing the occurrence of post-operation adhesions. Individualized post-operation artificial cycle treatments should be applied to different patients and using GnRH-a medication should be in right direction. The hysteroscopy examination post-surgery should be given in time to prevent the new occurrence of adhesion in fundus post-operation.
4.Clinical Effect of Laparoscopy Combined with Gestrinone in Treatment of Ovarian Endometriosis Cyst and the Prognosis of Patients
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2016;37(6):82-85
Objective To study clinical effect of laparoscopy combined with gestrinone in treatment of ovarian endometriosis cyst and the prognoisi of patients. Methods A randomized, controlled, prospective study was used in this study, 78 patients with ovarian endometriosis cyst were selected in Sichuan province panzhihua city miyi people's hospital from august 2012 to august 2014, and were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 39 patients in each group. Patients in the observation group were treated with laparoscopy combined with gestrinone (2.5 mg/time, two times per week, for 6 months) intervention; patients in the control group were treated with laparoscopic intervention. After six months, the postoperative serum FSH (Follicle Stmi Ulating Hormone, FSH), Estradiol (E2) and Estradiol levels, ovarian biggest plane average diameter (D), the level of MMP-9 and TIMP -1 level, pregnancy outcome of two groups were compared and the outcome and the recurrence rate 18 months after treatment were followed up. Results Six months after treatment, the E2 and FSH levels in the observation group were better than control group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.01);the postoperative serum levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in Observation group were better than control group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.01);there were 20 patients of D≤2 cm, 19 patients of D>2 cm, the postoperative ovarian shrink rate was 51.28% in the observation group; there were 5 patients of D≤2 cm, 34 patients of D>2 cm ovarian shrink ratio was 12.82% in the control group, the ovarian shrink ratio of observation group was obviously higher than control group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.01) . Follow-up for 18 months, the recurrence rate was 5.13%in the observation group, which was significantly lower than thatin the control group (25.64%), with statistically significant difference (P<0.05);the pregnancy rate was 66.66%and 30.77%in the Observation group and control group, respectively, the difference had statistical significance (P<0.01) . Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery combined with gestrinone can protect ovarian function of patients with ovarian endometriosis cyst, improve pregnancy outcomes, and reduce recurrence rate, and has good clinical value.
5.The monitoring analysis of perioperative tumor markers in non-small cell lung cancer of 55 cases
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2014;(7):1003-1006,1007
Objective To investigate the change and effect of operation on TK1,CEA, SCC-Ag and CYFRA21-1 level in non-small cell lung cancer patients. Methods From January 2013 to August 2013, 55 patients with NSCLC and 29 patients with benign lesions were recruited. The tumor indexes including TK1,CEA, SCC-Ag and CYFRA21-1 were measured by electrical chemiluminescence assay. Results ① Serum TK1, CEA, SCC-Ag and CYFRA21-1 level and the positive rates in NSCLC patients during preoperative period were higher than the benign disease control group ( P<0. 05 ) . ② Serum TK1 level changes in NSCLC patients preoperative and postoperative one week and one month showed a trend of hump-shaped curve, there was no obvious statistically significant differ-ence ( P>0. 05 ) . Serum CEA , SCC-Ag and CYFRA21-1 level of postoperative one week and one month in NSCLC patients were significantly lower than the level before the operation ( P<0. 05 ) . Serum CEA and CYFRA21-1 level of postoperative one week and one month in NSCLC patients showed no significant difference compared with benign disease control group ( P>0. 05 ) , serum TK1 and SCC-Ag level of the postoperative one week showed statistically significant difference compared with benign disease control group ( P<0. 05 ) , the postoperative one month level of serum TK1 and SCC-Ag showed no significant difference compared with benign disease control group ( P>0. 05 ) .③The preoperative level of TK1 and CEA in adenocarcinoma were higher than that in squamous carcinoma ( P<0. 05 ) . ④ The preoperative level of serum TK1 and CYFRA21-1 in female NSCLC patients were higher than male patients, the difference was statistically significant ( P <0. 05 ) , preoperative serum CEA and SCC-Ag level of NSCLC patients showed no obvious statistical correlation with gender ( P>0. 05 ) . The preoperative level of serum TK1 in NSCLC patients negatively correlated with the degree of differentiation of lung cancer, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0. 05 ) . Conclusion The perioperative level of tumor markers in NSCLC may be useful in monitoring diagnosis and differential diagnosis of NSCLC, especially in analyzing the invisible tumor burden of NSCLC patients. The perioperative level of tumor markers in NSCLC is related with the surgical effect and tissue types, and serum TK1 and CEA are more suitable for the evaluation of patients with lung adenocarcinoma. There is some value in the clinical applications.
