1.How to nutritional support for pediatric liver failure
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2017;24(1):13-16
Malnutrition occurs as a result of inadequate nutrient intake, malabsorption and altered me-tabolism in pediatric liver failure. Malnutrition may be associated with a poor outcome. The current evidence indicates that the provision of adjunctive nutritional support ( parenteral nutrition or enteral nutrition or nutri-tional supplements) to patients with a variety of liver diseases. It may be reasonable to start enteral nutrition in 5 to 7 days in acute liver failure or hepatic coma. According to individualized appropriate nutritional evalu-ation,the metabolic demand,to provide appropriate nutritional support in pediatric liver failure.
2.The extracorporeal membrane oxygenation related complications and prevention
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2017;24(2):144-148
The complications of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation ( ECMO ) include technical relevance complications and physical relevance complications. The former mainly includes dysfunction of oxygenation,cannula-related problems, technical relevance hemolysis, blood clots of oxygenator or rest of the circuit. The latter includes hemorrhage and embolism,culture-confirmed infection, renal failure and neurologic complications. One of the most reported complications of ECMO is hemorrhage. It′s important for reducing mortality and improving prognosis through stricting with the indications of ECMO,strengthening team cooper-ation,closely clinical monitoring and early identifying complications. In this paper,we introduced complica-tions of ECMO as well as how to prevent and treat it.
3.Relationship of Janus Kinase-Signal Transducers and Activator of Transcription Signal Transduction and Neurogenesis in Neonatal Rats with Periventricular Leukomalacia
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(20):-
Objective To observe the relationship of the Janus kinase-signal transducers and activator of transcription pathway and neurogenesis in the lateral ventricle subventricular zone(SVZ) and choroid plexus of neonatal rats with periventricular leukomalacia(PVL).Methods PVL models were established by right common carotid artery ligation followed by 4 h 60 mL/L oxygen exposure in 2-day-rat;the neonatal rats performed a sham operation, without hypoxia-ischemia were used as control group. The rats were sacrificed at 0 h,3 h,6 h,12 h,1 d,3 d and 7 d after hypoxic-ischemic(HI),and brain tissues were collected, immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of P-STAT3 and Nestin in the subventricular zone and choroid plexus. Results Very low expressions of P-STAT3 and Nestin were observed in lateral ventricle SVZ and choroid plexus in control group. The expression levels of P-STAT3 and Nestin increased significantly after HI,peaked at 1 d and 3 d separately, and remained at a higher level at 7 d after HI,demonstrating significant differences at each time point compared with those in control group(Pa

Objective To study the effect of amelogenin (AML)on the migration, adhesion and proliferation of periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs).Methods STRO-1 +PDLSCs were selected by Flow cytometer. The transwell system was used to detect the effect of AML on migration of PDLSCs.Cells attachment assay was used to detect the effect of AML on adhesion of PDLSCs.MTT was used to detect the effect of AML on the proliferation of PDLSCs.Results The results of transwell showed that AML could induce the migration of PDLSCs with positive correlation.Cells attachment assay showed that the adhesion of PDLSCs was effected by AML as well, and the effect was in-creased with the extension of incubation time. Results of MTT showed that AML could promote the proliferation of PDLSCs in a dose depend-ent manner. Conclusion AML could increase the proliferation, adhesion and migration potential of PDLSCs.

OBJECTIVE:To prepare ambroxol hydrochloride orally disintegrating tablets and to evaluate its quality.METHODS:Mannitol was used as main adjuvant to prepare ambroxol hydrochloride orally disintegrating tablet, the UV spec-trometry was adopted to determine ambroxol content, the disintegration time, taste and dissolution rate were evaluated.RESULTS:The optimal formulation was composed of MCC 50g,mannitol 20g,L-HPC 10g,and NaHCO3 2g;The detected concentration of ambroxol was linear in the range of 0.005~0.030mg/ml(r=0.9 999),the average recovery was 100.50%and RSD=0.71;The prepared tablets disintegrated completely within 30s.CONCLUSION:The orally disintegrating tablets is quick to disintegrate and is as effective as market tablets.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(12):-
Objective To establish a rat model of pulmonary hypertension induced by left-to-right shunt and explore the influence of high pulmonary blood flow on pulmonary vascular collagen remodeling. Methods Abdominal aorta and inferior vena cava shunting was produced in rats. Pulmonary artery meanpressure (PAMP) of each rat was measured by using a right cardiac catheterization.Pulmonary artery collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ were detected using immunohistochemisty. Results After 11 weeks of shunting the Qp/Qs was 3.3∶1.0,indicating a large shunt. Pulmonary artery mean pressure was increased as compared with controls[(23.0?0.9) mm Hg vs (15.7? 1.1) mm Hg,P

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of tube moxibustion plus point-toward-point needling method for refractory facial paralysis. Methods: A total of 100 patients with refractory facial paralysis who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into an observation group and a control group, with 50 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with acupuncture by point-toward-point needling method, mainly in the affected eye, cheek and mouth areas. The observation group was given additional tube moxibustion after receiving the point-toward-point needling method, which inserted a tube moxibustion device into the external acoustic meatus 1 cm on the affected side for 20 min. Both groups were treated once a day, 6 times a week, for 4 consecutive weeks. The House-Brackmann scale was scored before and after treatment, and the facial nerve electromyogram data were collected. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.6%, which was higher than 64.6% of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The proportion of new-onset facial paralysis complications (facial synkinesis, facial spasm, facial paralysis perversion, and crocodile tears) in the observation group was 6.4%, which was lower than 35.4% in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). In the observation group, the numbers of cases after treatment with the ratio of action potential amplitude between the affected side and the healthy side increased by 10%-30% and over 30% were more than those in the control group. And the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Tube moxibustion plus point-toward-point needling method has a better effect in improving symptoms of refractory facial paralysis, decreasing the incidence of sequelae, and increasing clinical efficacy than the point-toward- point needling method alone.
