Objective To explore the relationship between the aerocyst continual inflation and clocked deflation and ventilator-associated pneumonia. Methods 60 ICU hospitalized adult patients treated with tracheotomy or trachea canalization for above 24 hours were randomly divided into the tzadi-tional group and the experimental group with 30 patients in each group. After trachea canalization success-fully according to the nursing standard, the experimental group was treated with aerocyst continual inflation, the traditional group gased the ventilator and recorded the time, deflating the gas every 4 hours and inflating again after 5 minutes. The inflation time, nurse management and MOV(minimal occlusive volume)of the two groups were the same. The chest X-rays examination and deep sputum bacilli culture were implemented 12 hours after admission, before pulling out the ventilator and transferring out of ICU to evaluate the inci-dence of ventilator-associated pneumonia according to the infection diagnosis standard. Results The rate of ventilator-associated pneumonia in the experimental group was obviously lower than that of the tradition-al group. Conclusions The rate of ventilator-associated pneumonia reduces obviously in the ICU trachea canalization patients with aerocyst continual inflation.

Objectives This study aimed to understand the attitude of medical students at the undergraduate level towards the learning of first-aid skills and knowledge as well as pre-hospital first-aid services.Furthermore, this study helped to design a more effective strategy of first-aid education in medical schools. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1219 undergraduates in medical university, using stratified and cluster proportion sampling method. Results When an accident was met,81.26% of the undergraduates would voluntarily offer pre-hospital first-aid assistance;77.76% students had studied first aid knowledge through various channels. However, most students did not have a systematic comprehension of first-aid knowledge and skills. Conclusion Undergraduates in medical university have a positive attitude to offering pre-hospital first-aid assistance;however, the majority of students lack the ability to provide correct and effective assistance. Therefore, medicinal university needs to provide the students with more effective first-aid education.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the most common malignant tumors in China. When HCC is diagnosed, most patients have been at the middle or advanced stage and have lost the chance of radical resection. In recent years, the roles of targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy have become increasingly prominent in the treatment of unresectable HCC.Although HCC is sensitive to radiation, the clinical value of radiotherapy is often underestimated due to the low tolerance of liver to radiation. With the development of radiotherapy technology, radiotherapy has been widely used in unresectable HCC.Patients can gain more survival benefits whether treated with radiotherapy alone or in combination with other treatments. This review focuses on the application and progress of radiotherapy and its combination therapy in unresectable HCC.
