Clinical Medicine of China 2001;17(5):373-374
Objective To evaluate the effects of preventing and treating delayed gastric emptying (DGE)in the patients with pylorus preserving pancreaticoduodenostomy(PPPD).Methods The clinical data about PPPD from 1992~2000 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The incidence rate of DGE was 50%,among which gastrostomy was performed in 2/2 cases and not performed in four tenths.Comparing gastric decompression through noses with gastrostomy, the function of gastric wriggle recovered ahead of seven to fifteen days in the former group. Conclusion The incidence rate of DGE in the patients with PPPD is very high.Preventive jejunostomy should routinely be taken and the application of the thin silicon rubber tube through nose is very effective to gastric decompression, combining the traditional Chinese medicine with western medicine.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(07):-
Objective To investigate effect on telomerase activity of Hep-2 cells treated by anticancer drugs(hydroxycamptothecine, cisplatin and cytoxan). Methods By MTT method,we measured the 50% inhibitory concentration(IC 50 ) at 72h,and compared to untreated control cells. Telomerase activity of Hep-2 cells treated by the drugs in different concentration based on IC 50 for different time was observed by Telomeric Repeat Amplification Protocol with ELISA(TRAP-ELISA).Results Hydroxycamptothecine and cytoxan could inhibit proliferation of Hep-2 and down-regulate telomerase activity of Hep-2 cell. However, cisplatin promoted proliferation of Hep-2 and up-regulated telomerase activity of Hep-2 cell. Conclusions Hydroxycamptothecine and cytoxan could down-regulate telomerase activity of Hep-2 cell by direct or indirect pattern, which may correlate with drug concentration and time-dependent pattern.Cisplatin could up-regulate telomerase activity of Hep-2 cell, which mechanism is not clear.
6.Role of vascular endothelial growth factor, interleukin-2 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha in diabetic retinopathy
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(9):839-842
BackgroundDiabetic retinopathy (DR) is a progressive vision-threatening complication of diabetes mellitus, but its pathogenic mechanism is still unclear. Recent studies showed that it may be associated with the inflammation response of retinal capillary. Cytokines can cause induction of proinflammatory and adhesion molecules and thereby increase monocyte endothelial cell adhesion, which is now accepted as the early key event in the development of DR. ObjectiveThe present study was to determine the relationship between the stages of DR and the levels of serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) , interleukin-2 ( IL-2 ), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) in diabetic patients. Methods This was a pilot case-controlled study. Ninety patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were included in this clinical trial and 30 healthy individuals were enrolled as controls. The patients were grouped into the non-diabetic retinopathy(NDR) group, background DR group and proliferative DR(PDR) group according to the results from ophthalmoscopic examination and fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA) ,with 30 patients for each group. The levels of serum VEGF,IL-2,TNF-α were assayed by ELISA and compared among the 4 groups.Written informed consent was obtained from each subject before received any related medical examination to this study. ResultsThe mean serum VEGF levels were(217.35±27. 87)ng/L,(298.31±49.26)ng/L,and(341.23±40. 18)ng/L, respectively, and mean serum IL-2 levels were( 12. 12± 1. 57 )ng/L, (16.43 ±2. 26 )ng/L, and (21.36±0. 86) ng/L,respectively and mean serum TNF-α levels were( 11.63±0. 94) ng/L, ( 17. 52±0. 65) ng/L,and(22. 01±0. 87 ) ng/L respectively in the patients with NDR ,background DR and PDR, showing significant differences from healthy controls with( 193.46±37. 39 ) ng/L for serum VEGF, ( 8. 99 ±0. 57 ) ng/L for serum IL-2 and ( 7.31 ±0. 52 ) ng/L for serum TNF-α ( F =126. 38, P<0. 0 1 ;F =120. 37, P<0. 01 ;F =99. 84, P<0. 01 ). The levels of serum VEGF, IL-2, and TNF-α in the patients with the NDR,background DR and PDR were increased significantly. The level of serum VEGF showed the positively significant correlation with serum IL-2 level and TNF-α level ( r =0. 749, P < 0.01 ; r =0. 631,P<0. 01 ). The serum levels of VEGF, IL-2 and TNF-α showed a significantly positive correlation with the prolongation and severity of DR(r=0. 791 ,P<0. 01 ;r=0. 665 ,P<0. 01 ;r=0. 632,P<0. 01 ). ConclusionsVEGF, IL-2 and TNF-α play active roles in the generation and development of diabetic retinopathy, and the level of serum VEGF is closely associated with the levels of serum IL-2 and TNF-α. during the development of DR.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective:To investigate the expression of dental matrix protein 1(DMP1)in carious human permanent teeth and its possible role during the reparative process after pulp injury.Methods:10 of noncarious third molars (NC),10 of shallow carious (SC),10 of intermediate carious (IC) and 10 of deep carious (DC) were prepared for the detection of DMP1 in odontoblasts by immunohistochemical staining. DMP1 expression in odontoblasts was analyzed by image analysis system and expressed as integral optical density (IOD).Results:DMP1 was majorly detected in cytoplasms and processes of odontoblasts and odontoblast-like cells. The IOD values in the groups of NC,SC,IC and DC were 0.265?0.018,0.309?0.021,0.678?0.031 * and 0.691? 0.033 * respectively;that in the reparative dentin in DC group was 0.856?0.045 ** ( *vs NC P

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2008;7(6):419-420
Twenty-two patients with hyperthyroid caxdiopathy(HTC),38 patients with hyperthyroid (HT),and 10 healthy controls were tested for plasma levels of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP).The findings showed that BNP level in HTC group(433±141)μg/L was significantly higher than that in HT group(110±38)μg/L and healthy control group(10±3)μg/L(both P<0.01);HT group vs healthy control group,P<0.01).After 3 months'treatment for HT,BNP decreased significantly. The patients with higher BNP levels had an increased incidence of HTC.Plasma BNP test might be useful in predicting the prognosis and the treatment efficacy in patients with HT.
