5.Evaluation of randomized controlled trials in the studies of clinical nutrition
Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2009;17(6):321-323
Objective To evaluate the quality of the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in two key Chineze journals on clinical nutrition. Methods The articles published in CHINESE JOURNAL OF CLIN-ICAL NUTRlTION and PARENTERAL & ENTERAL NUTRITION from 2000 to 2008 were reviewed and the RCTs were identified according to criteria of the handbook of Cochrane Collaboration. The Jadad scale was used to evalu-ate the quality of these RCTs.Results Totally 238 RCT articles were published in these two journals in this peri-od.The Jadad score of all RCT articles was 1.65±0.82.Twenty-eight articles (11.76%) were of high quality and only 5 articles (2.10%) were identified 5 points. There were some problems in the RCTs design, conduction and analyses included unclear randomization methods, poor comparison, lack of inclusion and exclusion criteria.less blinding employment, unclear withdrawals and dropouts, and improper sample size. Conclusion The design and quality control of Chinese clinical nutrition RCTs still have some problems and require further improvement.
6.Effects of nordihydroguaiaretic acid treatment combined with Methotrexate or Vincristine on a human malignant glioma cell line
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(3):284-286
Objective To observe the effect of nordihydroguaiaretic acid treatment combined with Methotrexate or Vincristine on a human malignant glioma cell line. Methods The effect of drugs on the cells was measured by MTT, and the protein expression of cyclin D1 gene in the cells was measured by immunohistochemistry assay. Results ①The anti-tumor effects of drugs on the cells were increased with the increasing of concentrations, and had a combined function between NDGA and MTX or VCR. ②There was no difference between the effect of treating NDGA with MTX or VCR given at the same time and MTX or VCR given after 24 h of NDGA treatment, but the effects were apparently different when NDGA was administrated after MTX or VCR treatment for 24 h. ③The protein expression of cyclin D1 gene in the cells was apparently reduced after NDGA treatment. Conclusion There is a cooperative function between NDGA and MTX or VCR on the cells, and the function is probably related to the NDGA-induced down-regulation of protein expression of cyclin D1 gene in the cells.
7.Study on Stochastic Resonance of Electrical Sense based on Psychophysical Experiments.
Space Medicine & Medical Engineering 2006;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the change of threshold of electrical sense through experiments in the presence of electrical noise according to stochastic resonance phenomenon that has been observed in somatosensory system.Method Psychophysical experiments were carried out using both single stimulus method based on random-gradient method and one-interval-forced-choice method. The glabrous skin of human fingers was choosed as the experimental objects, which was stimulated by square wave electrical signal mixed with electrical noise.Result The corresponding threshold of electrical sense can be reduced by the effect of external electrical noises. Conclusion Although electrical sense is not natural sense, stochastic resonance can occur in it, and effect of noise on enhancing this sense can be implemented by controlling external noises.
8.Progress in ultrasonic diagnosis of thyroid cancer and related molecular marker detection
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2016;39(4):244-249,后插1
With the development of ultrasonic imaging technique, the thyroid nodule detection rate is ever increasing. However, there is still no unique characteristic for the identification of benign and malignant lesions in ultrasonogram. On the basis of conventional ultrasound performance of nodules, thyroid imaging reporting and data system for the correct classification of thyroid nodules is conducive to their differential diagnosis.Contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) can show the microvascular status of the lesion, and the benign and malignant thyroid nodules can be analyzed by observing the different enhancement patterns.By evaluating the difference in hardness between different tissues, the ultrasonic elastography (.UE) provides a complementary method for the identification of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.Ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy (US-FNAB) can accurately locate and offer pathological basis for preoperative diagnosis of thyroid nodules. It is helpful to preoperatively diagnose the thyroid cancer by detecting the molecular marker of the biopsy specimens which are difficult to be diagnosed clearly.
9.Clinical effect of voriconazole in the treatment of invasive fungal infections in lung cancer patients with ;radiotherapy and chemotherapy
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2017;24(2):255-257,258
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of voriconazole in the treatment of invasive fungal infections in lung cancer patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy,to provide a reference for clinical treatment. Methods The clinical data of 64 lung cancer patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy with invasive fungal infec-tions were retrospectively analyzed.According to the treatment methods, they were divided into control group and observation group,32 cases in each group.Fluconazole treatment was used in the control group, and the observation group used voriconazole therapy. The overall response rate, time to return to normal white blood cells and other indica-tors of liver and kidney function were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of the observation group was 81.25%,which was significantly higher than 68.75% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2 =5.876,P=0.008).The temperature recovery, cough disappeared, leukocyte recovery time of the observation group were (3.61 ±0.61)d,(6.11 ±0.81)d,(7.85 ±0.92)d,which were significantly shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(t=4.145,P=0.025;t=4.045,P=0.027;t=4.385,P=0.021).The treatment of the two groups had mild liver and kidney damage, and there was no signifi-cant difference between the two groups(all P>0.05 ).Conclusion Voriconazole treatment has good clinical effect for lung cancer patients after radiotherapy and chemotherapy with invasive fungal infections, the treatment period is short, but with mild liver and kidney function impairment, the treatment should strengthen the monitoring.
