1.Stephen S.Raab, Eric Suba. Relationship between war and cervical cancer in Vietnam women

The controlled study was carried out in 202 women in Southern area and 97 women in Northern area with cervical cancer to investigate some factors contributed to cervical cancer rate in Vietnamesse women. Control group included women with another cancer but not cervical cancer. The odd ratio of cervical cancer among Southern women whose husbands served in the army was 2.6 (95% CI = 1.2-5.5). The odd ratio of cervical cancer among Northern women whose husbands go soldiering in the Southern was 2.6 (95% CI = 1.2-5.5). Women whose husbands garrisoned in the Southern had the same rate of cervical cancer compared with women whose husbands were civilians. 2.The status of nutrition of woman and children under 5 years old in a mountainous commune

Study on the status of nutrition and its related factors in 276 mothers and 295 children under 5 years old, in which 77.9% were minority at Viet Lam commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province from November 2002 to August 2003. The results: 33% of mothers having child under 5 years old were being chronic energy deficiency, in which Kinh ethnic was 31.1%, minority was 33.5%. The malnutrition’s rate of child under 5 years old was 37% (in which the prevalence of malnutrition of Kinh ethnic was 26.2%, minority was 40%). Related factors to the status of nutrition included: low income, low cultural level, mothers were being chronic energy deficiency, the period of time to feed supplement and wean for children not irrational

3.Researching some of clinical characters of genital septic in candida and Trichomonas vaginalis infected women were examined at Thai Binh medical college hospital in 2004-2005

Research was carried out on 385 genital septic women were examined and assayed at Thai Binh medical college hospital. Results were following: the symptoms of genital septic patients are abnormal vaginal secretion 99.5%, itch of genital area 72.5%. Two of genital septic types had a higher rate: vaginitis combined with (58.4%), vaginitis with vulvitis 31.2%. Vaginitis with cervicitis induced Candida albicants had the highest rate of 69.8%; single vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis accounted for 36.4%.
