Objective:
To analyze the etiology and epidemiological characteristics of influenza in Wenzhou from 2009 to 2014, so as to provide the scientific basis for control and prevention of influenza.
Methods:
Throat swab specimens of influenza like illness (ILI) were collected from national influenza surveillance sentinel hospitals for nucleic acid detection with real-time PCR and virus isolation, culture and sequencing, and the results were analyzed with statistical methods.
Results:
During the 8 years, a total of 10 577 089 cases from outpatient and emergency department were monitored in sentinel hospitals. There were 337 896 ILI cases with an average ILI treatment rate of 3.19%. A total of 4 046 ILI samples were detected in children, 511 were positive for influenza, the positive rate was 12.63%. Among the detected influenza types, type B had the highest proportion, followed by H3N2. Among the 6 age groups, the number of flu patients was the highest in 0-3 years old group, the positive rate in 10-12 years old group was the highest (35.03%). There were 28 and 45 amino acid sequence mutations of HA fragment in influenza A and B, respectively, which included multiple mutation of 391 and 145 amino acids. The phylogenetic analysis showed that the strains of type B were different in different years, and Yamagata evolved into Y1 and Y2 two branches.
Conclusions
The prevalence peaks of influenza in children occurred in winter and spring in Wenzhou city, accompanied by small peaks in summer. Three subtypes of serotypes B, H3N2 and A(H1N1) dominated alternatively in Wenzhou during the 8 years. We should focus on strengthening the prevention and control of influenza in preschool children and primary and secondary school students.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the outcomes of single open door laminoplasty with lateral mass screw fixation in treating cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) with cervical instability.
METHODSFrom March 2010 to October 2012, 25 patients with spondylotic myelopathy and cervical instability underwent single open door laminoplasty with lateral mass screw fixation. There were 18 males and 7 females, aged from 57 to 68 years with the mean of 57 years. Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scores were used to evaluate clinical effects before operation and final follow up. Radiographical measures were made in change of Cobb angle by sagittal plane from C₂ to C₇, and cervical range of motion.
RESULTSAll the patients were followed up from 18 to 36 months with an average of 25.6 months. Cerebrospinal fluid leakage occurred in 1 case, incision fat necrosis in 1 case, C₅ nerve root palsy in 4 cases. JOA scores was improved from preoperative 5.2±2.1 to 11.3±2.4 final follow up. Cobb angle was changed from preoperative (6.5±3.4)° to (13.2±4.9)° final follow up. Cervical range of motion was changed from preoperative (30.4±9.2)° to (26.5±8.4)° final follow up.
CONCLUSIONSAs an effective treatment to CSM with cervical instability, single open door laminoplasty with lateral mass screw fixation has the advantage of extensive application scope, safety and steady, but the incidence rate of complication must be reduced.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2019;42(12):1126-1131
Objective:
To investigate the CT and MRI features of adult rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) of extremities.
Methods:
A retrospective analysis was carried out on CT and MRI findings of 10 patients with rhabdomyosarcoma of extremities confirmed by surgery and pathology in Wenzhou People′s Hospital and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. The site, size, shape, margin, density or signal, adjacent tissue changes and enhanced degree of the mass were observed.
Results:
In the 10 cases, the mass was located in the thigh in 6 cases, in the calf in 3 cases, and in the upper arm in 1 case. The maximum diameter of the tumor was 2.9-22.5 (12.0 ± 7.2) cm. The masses were oval in 2 cases and irregular in 8 cases. The margins of the masses were clear in 2 cases and unclear in 8 cases. There was invasive destruction of adjacent bone in 3 cases, intratumoral necrotic cystic changes in 8 cases, intratumoral hemorrhage in 2 case, and lymph node metastasis in 3 cases. Four patients underwent plain CT scan: CT presented isodensity in 1 case and slightly lower density in 3 cases. The mass density was uniform in 1 case and uneven in 3 cases. CT value of the solid part of the mass was 27-47 (42 ± 6) HU in average. Three patients underwent enhanced CT scan: all the enhanced masses showed uneven enhancement, including 1 case of mild enhancement and 2 cases of moderate enhancement, with no enhancement of necrotic cystic lesion area and clear in lesion boundary. Nine patients underwent plain MRI scan: mass of 9 cases presented iso-signal or slightly lower signal on T1WI, including 4 cases with iso-signal and 5 cases with slightly lower signal. There were 7 cases of uneven signals and 2 cases of uniform signals. The mass presented high signal on T2WI, including 8 cases with uneven signals and 1 case with uniform signals, and the necrotic cystic lesion showed higher signal on T2WI. Seven patients underwent enhanced MRI scan: all the enhanced masses showed uneven enhancement, including significant enhancement in 5 cases, moderate enhancement in 2 cases, no enhancement in necrotic cystic lesion area, and "perivascular" phenomenon in 4 cases.
Conclusions
CT or MRI examination shows that the soft tissue tumor of the extremities presents low density on CT, equal or slightly low T1WI signal on MRI, and high signal on T2WI, with necrotic cystic lesion inside peripheral blood vessel density in the tumor, without calcification and significantly or moderately uneven enhancement should consider the possibility of RMS should be considered.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Science. B 2022;23(12):989-1001
OBJECTIVES:
This research was performed to explore the effect of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) on the apoptosis of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in ischemia and hypoxia environments.
METHODS:
The cell viability of BMSCs incubated under hypoxia/ischemia (H/I) conditions with or without pretreatment with MIF or triglycidyl isocyanurate (TGIC) was detected using cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) analysis. Plasmids containing long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) or β-catenin small interfering RNA (siRNA) were used to overexpress or downregulate the corresponding gene, and the p53 signaling pathway was activated by pretreatment with TGIC. The influences of MIF, overexpression of lncRNA MEG3, activation of the p53 signaling pathway, and silencing of β-catenin on H/I-induced apoptosis of BMSCs were revealed by western blotting, flow cytometry, and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT)-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL) staining.
RESULTS:
From the results of CCK-8 assay, western blotting, and flow cytometry, pretreatment with MIF significantly decreased the H/I-induced apoptosis of BMSCs. This effect was inhibited when lncRNA MEG3 was overexpressed by plasmids containing MEG3. The p53 signaling pathway was activated by TGIC, and β-catenin was silenced by siRNA. From western blot results, the expression levels of β-catenin in the nucleus and phosphorylated p53 (p-p53) were downregulated and upregulated, respectively, when the lncRNA MEG3 was overexpressed. Through flow cytometry, MIF was also shown to significantly alleviate the increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) level of BMSCs caused by H/I.
CONCLUSIONS
In summary, we conclude that MIF protected BMSCs from H/I-induced apoptosis by downregulating the lncRNA MEG3/p53 signaling pathway, activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, and decreasing ROS levels.

To investigate the curative effect of modified Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined with pelvic floor muscle exercise-biofeedback-electrostimulation on early postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction disease (PFD) and its effect on the expression of transforming growth factor (TGF-β1), matrix metalloprotein (MMP-2), and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP-2). A total of 186 PFD patients admitted to our hospital from March 2014 to December 2016 were selected in the study and were randomly divided into test group (=93) and control group (=93). The control group received pelvic floor muscle exercises-biofeedback-electrostimulation, while the test group was additionally treated with modified Buzhong Yiqi decoction based on the treatment in control group. Then the clinical efficacy was compared between two groups. The results showed that vaginal contractile electromyography (EMG), duration of vaginal constriction, dynamic vaginal pressure and pelvic floor myoelectric activity in the test group at 1, 3 and 6 months after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment and the control group (<0.05). The effective rate for urinary incontinence was 97.14% in test group, significantly higher than 75.68% in the control group (<0.05). The effective rate for improvement of sexual life quality was 96.43% in test group, significantly higher than 74.07% in control group (<0.05). 1, 3 and 6 months after treatment, the uterine prolapse, posterior wall prolapse and anterior wall prolapse grade in test group was slightly lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant. After treatment, the levels of TGF-β1 and TIMP-2 in the test group were higher than those in the control group, while the levels of MMP-2 were lower than those in the control group (<0.05). The results showed that modified Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined with pelvic floor muscle exercise-biofeedback-electrostimulation can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms, promote the body recovery and improve the quality of sexual life in PFD patients, with remarkable advantages, so it is worthy of popularizing.
