Human resource,as the core resource of hospitals, plays a key role in maintaining the competitive advantage of the hospitals. From the perspective of system engineering, this paper closely combined the present situation of human resource management under the background of medical staff shortage with the systematic theory, and systematically analyzed the problems of medical staff shortage and human resource management in public hospitals on the basis of literature research and investigation. It constructedand analyzed the archetype of “growth upper limit” that the over load of medical staff in hibited their mental health,“growth and investment insufficiency” archetype of medical staff's human capital investment, and the “trifles” archetype of medical personnel shortage. As well,it put forward the problem-solving management strategy using the theory of systematic thinking.

Objective To investigate current health status of medical professionals in Guangdong Province to provide evidence for individualized health management. Methods Based on multi-stage stratified sampling method,3872 medical professional from 56 hospitals in Guangdong Province were enrolled and completed a self-designed questionnaire. The results were collected and compared using descriptive analysis, K-S test, Chi-square test and multivariate Logistic regression. Results A total of 3687 (95.2%) feed-backs were collected,of which 3502 (95.0%) could be used. Insomnia was the most serious problem among nurses (68. 9% ). The incidence rate of sub-health condition was 58. 2%. First-line clinical work, female, long working experience, tertiary hospital, no physical activity and insomnia were correlated with more serious sub-clinical health. Conclusion Unhealthy life style and sub-heahh problems negatively impact health of medical professional. Therefore, supervisors should pay more attention to those with certain characteristics.

Objective To investigate the quality of life of nurses group in Shenzhen city and explore its influencing factors, so as to provide evidence for health policy making health promotion and science research. Methods Self-designed questionnaires were used in social demography survey and SF-36 was adopted to survey 495 in-service nurses on front line from four hospitals in Shenzhen. Paired samples t Test and multivariable stepwise regression were carried out to analyze the quality of life among nurses in Shenzhen city and general population in China. Results The data showed the scores of the physiological domain, psychological domain and quality of life nurses in Shenzhen city and Chinese general population was (68.60±17.61), (69.91±17.91), (67.29±20.29)and (78.18± 15.88), (79.36±17.00), (77.00± 17.42), respectively. The difference had statistical significance. Multivariable stepwise regression showed that quality of life was positively correlated with APN scheduling, education, department, monthly income, working range, age and the hospital level in descending sort Conclusions Health authorities, hospital leaders and nurses-selves should pay more attention to the quality of life for nurses group and take positive mea-sures to improve quality of life of nurses group.

Objective To investigate the effects of hepatic pedicle exclusion and low central venous pressure (LCVP) on blood loss in right lobe tumor resection and evaluate its influence on hepatic and renal function. Methods Forty-eight patients with right lobe tumor admitted from December 2006 to June 2008 were randomly allocated to the LCVP group (23 cases) and routine hepatectomy, (control group 25 cases). During the parenchymal transection phase of surgery, CVP < 5 mm Hg ( 1 mm Hg = 0.133 kPa) and SBP ≥90 mm Hg were maintained in the LCVP group by drugs. However, no special management of CVP and SBP was done in control group. The parenchymal transection blood loss, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative hepatic and renal function changes between two groups were compared, and the incidence of comphcation was also observed. Results There were no significant difference in type of hepatectomy, time of vascular clamping, period of operation, postoperative complication rate, postoperative hepatic and renal functions between two groups. Parenchymal transection blood loss in the LCVP group was significantly lower than that in the control group (326.67 ± 109.13 ) ml vs (538.33 ± 177.07 ) ml, (P < 0.01 ). Postoperative hospital stay in the LCVP group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (8.52 ± 1.78) d vs (9.40±1.68) d, (P < 0.05). Conclusions Hepatic pedicle exclusion and LCVP during hepatectomy is safe. It can reduced blood loss during parenchymal transection and decrease postoperative hospital stay. It is no detrimental effect to hepatic or renal function.

Objective To investigate the maternal attitude and demands for Institute of Postpartum Care in order to provide targeted services. Methods 285 women were a investigated about maternal attitude and demands towards Institute of Postpartum Care with self-designed questionnaire. Results 97.9% (279/285) women thought sitting the month (puerperal period) was very important,50.2% (143/285)women were interested in Institute of Postpartum Care. They thought the main three advantages were energy saving, medical expertise and technology and avoidance of family conflicts; The three major issues were high price, lack of monitoring mechanism and unfamiliar environment and less family company;33 items of services demands over four points accounted for 78.6%,the three modules with highest scores were cleaning services scored 4.64±0.47,newborn services scored 4.45±0.41,consultation service scored 4.41:±0.53.Conclusions Professional postnatal care services have been a trend and social need, and a large proportion of women have great interest and demand on Institute of Postpartum Care which should make full use of its concentrate resources, and provide specific services according to maternal demands for services. It is urgent to build unified service standards and evaluation indicators to improve service quality.

Objective To probe into the influencing factors of selecting the intravenous vascular access device for tumor patients undergoing intravenous therapy? Methods With convenience sampling,376 tumor patients in oncology department from 3 hospitals of class A hospitals in Guangzhou were selected for the survey including such 6 categories with 41 items as general data, patient’s willingness, punctured blood vessels, use of vascular access and clinical conditions? Results In 124 patients, peripheral venous catheter was used (33?0%)? Central venous catheter was used in 252 patients (67?0%),Multiple linear regression analysis showed that way for paying the expense, vascular conditions for venous punctuation, phased diagnosis, decision of the doctors, and prospected duration for detaining catheter significant influencing factors? Conclusions The state should raise their medical allowances for those with lower incomes? The administrative should enhance the training to doctors and nurses at grass levels, promote the communication between medical workers and patients and improve their recognition of transfusion devices so that they can make a right choice?

Objective To explore the effects of needle retractable syringe. Methods 400 patients undergoing injection treatment were randomly divided into the experiment group and the control group in equal number. The conventional syringe was used in the control group and the needle retractable syringe was adopted. The pains in the patients, time for puncturing and incidence of puncturing-induced injuries were compared between two groups.Result The pains, time for puncturing and incidence of puncturing-induced injuries in the observation group were all significantly lower than those of the control group(all P < 0.05). Conclusion Needle retractable syringes may help to alleviate the pain, reduce the workload of nurses and lower the incidence of needle stick injuries.

Objective To evaluate the theoretical knowledge level of Chinese nursing students based on the problem-based learning(PBL)versus traditional teaching methods. Methods Databases including CNKI (1979-2013.03),VIP (1989-2013.03)and Wanfang (1982-2013.03)were searched (up to March,2013)for controlled studies comparing PBL and traditional teaching methods. The quality of included studies was critically evaluated and the data were analyzed by Stata 10.0 software. Results A total of 659 articles were retrieved but only 22 were included. Meta-analyses showed that there were significant differences between PBL and traditional teaching methods in improving theoreti-cal knowledge of nursing students(SMD merge=0.79,95%CI(0.55,1.03),P=0.000). Conclusions PBL can improve the theoretical scores of Chinese nursing students. However, the above conclusion needs to be confirmed by more large-scale randomized controlled trials of higher quality due to the limitation of studies include in this paper.
