Aim:To develop a method for rapid and sensitive simultaneous determination of the hydrophilic and lipophilic active components in Salvia miltiorrhiza tablets. Methods:RP-HPLC condition was established to separate danshensu, salvianolic acid B,cryptotanshinone and tanshinone ⅡA from each other on the Diamonsil C18(250 mm×4.6 mm ID,5 μm)column with the mobile phase consisted of methanol and 0.5% formic acid in gradient elution. Results:The four active components had good linearity. The average recoveries ranged between 96.63% to 100.3% with RSDs of less than 2%. Conclusion:The method appeared to be precise and accurate for the simultaneous determination of the four active components in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge tablets within 35 min.

Objective To investigate the effect of systematic training on the enhancement of knowledge and behavior on tumor-free technology among newly-employed nurses in operation room. Methods Fifteen nurses newly-employed for the operating room of the Affiliated Hospital of Luzhou Medical College were trained with theory teaching, techniques training and nursing rounds. The test on non-tumor knowledge and questionnaire on beliefs and behaviors were used to assess the post-training effects.Result The scores on tumor-free knowledge, beliefs and tumor-free behaviors were all significantly improved compared with pre-training (P<0.01). Conclusion Systematic training of tumor-free technology may improve the mastery of tumor-free knowledge and skills and thus form a good tumor-free concept so that they can keep tumor-free techonology in practice.

Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of DHA and its mechanism of apoptosis induced by DHA on human gastric cancer cell SGC-7901.Methods The survival rate of tumor cells was evaluated by MTT assay, cell morphology of apoptotic cell was observed with Hoechest 33258 staining. The contents of MDA and GSH were measured respectively by TBA and DTNB assay.Flow cytometry was used to detect the rate of apoptotic cell and intracellular variation of ROS level. Results After being treated with different concentrations of DHA,the survival rate of tumor cells was decreased in a dose-dependent manner and apoptosis was induced. The morphological characterizes of apoptotic cells were chromatin condensation and formation of apoptotic bodies.Intracellular MDA content was increased in the treated cells compared with control group, whereas GSH was decreased. After treated with 80 ?mol?L-1 DHA 5 h,flow cytometic analysis showed ROS peak and NAC could block the generation of ROS.Conclusion DHA can inhibit the growth of human gastric cancer cell SGC-7901 via inducing apoptosis. The increase of lipid peroxidation production and ROS may play an important role in apoptosis of the cells.

Objective To establish an animal model of PCOS and to detect the DNA methylation states of LHR,INSR and AR genes. Methods 24-days-old female Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into two groups. The rats in the experimental group were given subcutaneous implanting of levonorgestrel silica gel staff and injected 1.5 IU hCG twice daily for 9 days from the 4th day. The rats in the control group were injected with normal saline at the same time. Ovarian morphologic changes, sex hormone levels, fasting serum insulin and glucose were detected. The LHR,INSR and AR genes' DNA methylation patterns were checked by methylation specific PCR in modeling group and control group. Results The ovarian weight and volume in modeling group were higher than those in control group. The ovaries in modeling group showed multiple follicular cysts, and the number of theca cells and interstitial cells increased. Less developed follicles and corpus lutea were seem. The serum level of progesterone, testosterone, luteinizing hormone, fasting insulin and glucose were significantly higher in experimental group than those in control group,so as the LH/FSH ratio and HOMA index. No methylation of LHR and AR genes were found in both groups. The methylation frequency of INSR gene (76.7%) was significantly higher in modelinggroup than that in control group (P

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1985;0(02):-
Bone mineral density (BMD) of lumbar spines, femoral neck, Ward′s triangle and greater trochanter was lowered, serum calcium, phosphate, alkaline phosphatase and bone Gla-protein levels were raised, and vitamin D receptor (VDR) contents in lymphocyte was lowered in hyperthyroid patients. Both FT 3 and FT 4 were negatively correlated with BMD, suggesting that hyperthyroidism results in high-turnover type of bone loss which causes the abnormalities of bone metabolic indices and VDR content.

Conclusion The depression of INSR gene's transcriptional induced by DNA methylation is important in the development of insulin resistance in PCOS.

AIM: To investigate the different vasoactive effects of nitric oxide (NO) and endothelin (ET) on splanchnic arterial and venous vessels in cirrhotic rats. METHODS: Cirrhosis was induced in Wistar rats by subcutaneously administration of carbon tetrachloride. Maximal relaxation (Rmax) and contraction (Cmax) to NO and ET were determined in vitro using isolated vascular strips prepared from portal vein (PV) and mesenteric artery (MA) of both cirrhotic and normal rats, and EC50 was calculated for effects of NO and ET, respectively. RESULTS: Rmax of PV and MA to sodium nitroprusside (SNP) (releasing NO) were significantly higher in cirrhotic rats (n=8) than those in normal rats (n=7), and EC50 of NO were dramatically lower in cirrhotic rats than those in control (P

Objective:To evaluate the vital signs changes, influence factors in different grades of hy-pertension patients during the treatment of acute pulpitis,in order to obtain the risk prevention measures. Methods:In this study,90 different grades of hypertension patients with acute pulpitis were recruited from February 201 4 to February 201 5 in the Department of Oral Emergency,Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology. The information about the patients’general health, oral treatment, life signs of change information was collected.Patients were divided into high risk group, middle risk group, and low risk group (30 patients for each group).Results:(1 )Compared with the preoperative, systolic blood pressure (90%),diastolic blood pressure (80%),heart rate increase (1 00%)were increased in the high risk group. The increase rates of the middle risk group and the low risk group were significantly lower than those of the high risk group (P<0.01 ).At the same time, the systolic blood pressure of 1 /4 (26.7%)patients in high risk group increased more than 20 mmHg (1 mmHg=0.1 33 kPa),and the diastolic blood pressure of 2/5 patients in high risk group increased more than 1 0 mmHg,the difference was statistically significant compared with the other two groups (P<0.05).(2)Compared with the pre-operative,the average increase of the maximum peak were increased [systolic blood pressure (1 8.0 ± 1 .5)mmHg,diastolic blood pressure (8.0 ±1 .7)mmHg],the mean of heart rate changes [(7.0 ± 0.3)beats per minute]was also increased in the high risk group, while these two indicators were de-creased in the low risk group and the middle risk group. The electrocardiogram (ECG)was changed in 6 cases during the treatment in the high risk group. No significantly changed were observed in the low risk group and the middle risk group.(3 ) Compared the risk assessment in preoperative with that in postoperative,in the middle risk group,23 cases were evaluated as medium risk in final evaluation,6 as low risk, and 1 as high risk (risk assessment increased);in the high risk group,20 cases were evaluated as high risk,7 as very high risk, and 3 as medium risk (risk assessment decreased). Conclusion:Oral treatment is very safe for patients with hypertension, but the risk factor, target organ damage, and com-plications will also increase the risk of cardiovascular events in elderly patients during the acute pulpitis treatment.Dentist should take some measures to avoid the risks.
