Objective: To study the regulatory action of BushenqingreFang on Fas/FasL in the cells of nephridial tissue in mice with lupus nephritis (LN) caused by chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). Methods: To observe the apoptosis in nephridial tissue by TUNEL and to measure the Fas/FasL genetic transcription and their protein expression by immunohistochemistry, western blot and RT-PCR techniques. Results: BushenqingreFang increased the positive score of TUNEL in nephridial tissue and up regulated mRNA expression and protein levels of Fas and FasL. Conclusion: The action of BushenqingreFang on LN may be conducted by its up regulation of Fas and FasL and its promotion of apoptosis.

Objective:To study the effect of Xihuang Capsule combined with GP regimen on the serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-oα (TNF-α),vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) of patients with advanced breast cancer.Methods:88 patients with advanced breast cancer admitted in our hospital from March 2014 to February 2015 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the order of admission.The control group was treated by the GP program,the observation group was given Xihuang capsule combined with GP regimen.The serum levels of TNF-α,VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 in the two groups were compared before and after treatment.The clinical efficacy and incidence of side effects were analyzed.Results:The total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group [84.09％ (37/44) vs 50.00％ (22/44)] (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the serum levels of TNF-α,VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 between the two groups before treatment (P＞0.05).After treatment,the serum TNF-α,VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 levels were significantly lower than those before treatment (P＜0.05).The serum levels of TNF-α,VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence rate of nausea and vomiting between the two groups (P＞0.05).The incidence ofalopecia,diarrhea,abnormal liver function,decreased appetite,anemia and leukopenia in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Xihuang Capsule combined with GP regimen could more effectively reduce the levels of serum TNF-α,VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 of patients with advanced breast cancer than GP regime alone with higher safety.

Teaching and research section of orthodontics of the Affiliated Hospital of Stomatology of Chongqing Medical University took the lead in carrying out ‘ three early education' Students of stomatology in Chongqing Medical University established ‘ social practice volunteer team' and conducted ‘ three early education' in orthodontic clinic during winter,summer holiday and weekend.This let students of low grades contact with society,clinical practice and scientific research at early stage thus to comprehensively improve their overall quality.Questionnaire for student volunteers of the Affiliated Hospital of Stomatology of Chongqing Medical University showed that ‘ three early education' can effectively improve medical students' comprehensive quality.In the early stages of learning for students of stomatology,we cultivated students' occupation spirit,innovation consciousness,scientific literacy,clinical thinking and teamwork ability by strengthening training of students' social practice ability,communication ability,organization and coordination ability,professional interests,professional senses of belonging,team spirit and moral emotion.We achieved certain results and our experiences are worth extending.

Objectives To detect the clinical significance of high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and immune function in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP). Methods 103 children with MPP, 47 cases of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS group), 56 cases of non-systemic inflammatory response syndrome (non-SIRS group) were recruited. 26 healthy children served as the control group. ELISA was used to detect the level of serum hs-CRP, immune in-dexes, IgG, IgA, and IgM, Cellular immune CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+. Results The level of serum hs-CRP、IgG、IgM and CD8+in control group were significantly lower than those in non-SIRS group and SIRS group (P<0.05). The level of IgA、CD3+, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+in control group were significantly higher than those in non-SIRS group and SIRS group (P<0.05). The level of serum hs-CRP、IgG in SIRS group were significantly higher than those in non-SIRS group (P<0.05). The level of IgA、CD3+、CD4+、CD4+/CD8+in SIRS group were significantly lower than those in non-SIRS group. There was no significant difference in non-SIRS group and SIRS group of IgM and CD8+(P>0.05). The level change of serum hs-CRP were positively related with IgG (r=0.66,P=0.001) and were negatively related with IgA、CD4+、CD4+/CD8+(r=0.79, 0.67, 0.82, P all were<0.05) in chil-dren with MPP. Conclusion Children with MPP have Immunity function( including humoral immunity and cellular immunity) disorder which is related to the disease status. The level of hs-CRP could be an anpation index for the severity and immune func-tion of the children with MPP.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for further formulation of the rational use of vancomycin. METHODS:Retro-spective analysis was conducted on the related information of discharged patients who intravenously used vancomycin from Jun. 2013 to Dec. 2014. RESULTS:178 patients were enrolled,with average age of 59.6 and 73.60% male,who were mainly with lung infectious(74.72%). Support examinations were sufficient before using of vancomycin. 66.29% patients were empirically giv-en vancomycin with pathogenic detection rate of 85.39%. 71.91% patients were conducted therapeutic drug monitoring with only 47.54% of first blood samples achieved the target range. CONCLUSIONS:Vancomycin application is generally rational in our hos-pital. However,issues like duration of empirical therapy,rational therapeutic monitoring,and individualized start dosing still need to be noticed.

Objective To investigate the expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), phosphorylated STAT3 (pSTAT3), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in tissues of nonsmall-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and their relationship. Methods The expression of STAT3, pSTAT3, VEGF and bFGF in tissues of 68 cases of NSCLC and lung tissues of 27 normal cases were detected by immunohistochemistry methods, and their relationship with clinicopathological features was analyzed. Results The expression of STAT3,pSTAT3, VEGF and bFGF in tissues of NSCLC was significantly higher than that in normal lung tissues (P＜0.05). There was positive correlationship among pSTAT3,VEGF and bFGF in tissues of NSCLC (P＜0.05). The expression of STAT3 and pSTAT3 in NSCLC with poor differentiation was higher than that in NSCLC with high or moderate differentiation, the expression in NSCLC at TNM Ⅲ+Ⅳ stage was higher than that in NSCLC at TNMⅠ+Ⅱ stage, and the expression in NSCLC with lymph node metastasis was higher than that in NSCLC without lymph node metastasis(P<0.05). The expression of VEGF and bFGF in NSCLC at TNM Ⅲ+Ⅳ stage was higher than that in NSCLC at TNMⅠ+Ⅱ stage (P<0.05), and the expression of bFGF in NSCLC with lymph node metastasis was higher than that in NSCLC without lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Conclusion STAT3,pSTAT3,VEGF and bFGF are highly expressed in NSCLC, and are involved in tumor metastasis and invasion.

Objective:To observe the expression of chemokine receptor CCR7 and CXCR4 in human colorectal carcinoma and its significance,so as to assess their expression with the metastasis and prognosis of colorectal carcinoma. Methods:Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of chemokine receptor CCR7 and CXCR4 in 110 patients with colon cancer.The relationship between the CCR7 and CXCR4 expression and the clinic pathological characters was statistically analyzed. Results:CCR7 and CXCR4 expression were positively expressed in 59.1% and 45.5%of the patients. The high expression rate of CCR7 and CXCR4 in lymph node metastasis positive cases was 81. 5% and 60.0% respectively,but the without lymph node metastasis positive cases were 26.7% and 24.4% respectively. Objective To review our experience in correction of pectus excavatum.by Nuss procedure without thoracoscopic assistance.Methods 412 patients with pectus excavatum were surgically corrected using Nuss technique without thoracoscopic assistance.There were 329 boys and 83 girls with average age of 7 years and 8 months ( range from 2 years and 8 months to 28 yeats and 5 months).The bars were removed after surgery in 102 patients.Results The operation in all patients had been performed successfully without any severe complications The average time of the operation was 40 minutes.The average blood lose during operation was ( 10 ±2) ml.Conclusion Nuss procedure without thoracoscopic assistance is safety and effective.It could be minimize the trauma and shorter operating time.

Objective To explore the expression levels of immune-related microRNA-146b (miR-146b),microRNA-155 (miR-155) and microRNA-30b(miR-30b) in human breast milk and its relationship with maternal and infant's health.Methods One hundred and thirty-four mothers and their infants from obstetrical department were recruited in the study after delivery.The subjects were divided into 2 groups,breast feeding group(n =86) and formula-feeding group(n =48),and were followed up 3 months after delivery.Breast milk samples were collected at 2-5 days after delivery(colostrum) and 3 months after delivery(mature milk).The expression levels of microRNAs in milk samples were detected by real-time PCR.The relationship between levels of microRNAs and maternal and infant-related factors was analyzed.Results 1.MiR-146b,miR-155 and miR-30b expressions were abundant both in human colostrums (5.950 ± 0.823,3.899 ± 0.920,4.057 ± 0.604) and mature milk (4.840 ± 0.805,2.128 ± 0.969,4.929 ± 0.566).The levels of miR-146b and miR-155 were higher in colostrum than that of mature milk (t =7.716,10.215,all P ＜ 0.01),while the level of miR-30b was higher in mature milk than that of colostrums(t =-8.626,P ＜ 0.0l).2.Additionally,the level of miR-30b was negatively correlated with maternal pre-pregnancy body mass index (r =-0.298,P ＜ 0.01).3.The levels of miR-146b and miR-30b were higher in mothers giving birth by vaginal delivery than those who underwent cesarean section(t =2.356,3.108,all P ＜0.05).4.The levels of miR-146b and miR-155 were higher in colostrum-fed girls than boys (t =-2.204,-2.985,all P ＜ 0.05).5.The level of miR-146b in mature milk was negatively correlated with 3-month-old infant' s Z score of body weight (r =-0.425,P ＜ 0.05) and body length (r =-0.569,P ＜ 0.01).6.During follow-up,the incidence of baby eczema in breast feeding group (8.82％,3/34 cases) was lower than that in formula milk feeding group(29.17％,14/48 cases) (x2 =5.012,P =0.025).Conclusions The levels of immunocompetent microRNAs in human milk are influenced by the lactation period,maternal prepregnancy body mass index,mode of delivery and infant sex.The immune-related microRNAs in human milk could be involved in the regulation of infant's immunity and growth.

Obiective:To evaluate the effects of various surgical procedures on liver carcinoma accompanied by portal hypertension.Methods:Combined surgical procedures which were performed in 26 patients with liver carcinoma accompanied by portal hypertension in our department between Aug,2002 and Aug,2008 were analysed retrospectively.Results:There was no operative mortality.The postoperative complications developed in 50%(13/26) patients.The postoperative survival rates of 1,2 and 3 years were 84.6%(22/26),57.7%(15/26),34.6%(9/26),respectively.Postoperative upper digestive tract hemorrhage developed in 10 cases.Fifteen patients died during follow-up period,of whom 7 cases died of recurrence of liver carcinoma,2 cases died of liver failure,6 cases died of upper digestive tract hemorrhage.Conclusion:The survival time can be prolonged and the postoperative complications can be reduced through perioperative cares and prudent selection of surgical procedures in patients suffering from concurrent liver cancer and portal hypertension.Combined operation is safe and feasible.
