Objective Detecting the changes of the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) during rat liver regeneration so as to study the role of VEGF in the course of liver regeneration. Methods Three hundred adult SD rats were randomly divided into three groups:control group,sham operated group and test group.After taking out liver tissue and isolating hepatocytes at different phases after 2/3 rat hepatectomy,the change of VEGF expression was detected by both immunocytochemistry and Western blotting. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the diagnosis of frontal, ethmoid sinus cyst with eye symptoms as initial amount,and the curative effect of nasal endoscopic operation. METHOD: To retrospectively analyze clinical data of sixteen patients with frontal, ethmoid sinus cyst from February 2006 to March 2008. RESULT: Diagnostic accordance rate of paranasal sinus MRI and CT examination In 16 patients is 100%. Fourteen patients' ocular symptoms disappeared after nasal endoscope operation treatment, two of them improved. None of them recurrened after the fol low-up 3-6 years up to now, all the patients had satisfactory curative effect. CONCLUSION Paranasal sinuses and or bital cavity have close relationship , patients with sinus lesions always firstly visit Ophthalmology doctor. The results of MRI and CT examination are of great value for diagnosis. Patients with frontal, ethmoid sinus cyst with eye symptoms as initial amount should be early diagnosed. The treatment of nasal endoscope operation is safe, effective and is worth of firstly chosen.

BACKGROUND:Autologous peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation,as the current latest therapy is widely used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases,however,the treatment on myasthenia gravis is still in the primary stage.OBJECTIVE:To create the model of myasthenia gravis with autologous peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in rats and to observe clinical manifestation,attenuation rate of repetitive nerve electric stimulation action potential and titer of serum acetylcholine receptor Ab in the models.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The randomized control animal experiment was performed at the Human Anatomy Laboratory,Medical College of Zhengzhou University between July and December 2007.MATERIALS:Totally 50 female Wistar rats were randomly assigned into four groups,a normal group(n=10),an adjuvant control group(n=10),a stem cell transplantation group(n=15),and a model control group(n=15).METHODS:Rats in the normal group were intact.Rats in the adjuvant group were subjected to the same volume of saline and cyclophosphamide.Rats in the stem cell transplantation group were used to make experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis by intraperitoneally infusing with serum of myasthenia gravis patients.Bone marrow stem cells were mobilized by granulocyte colony-stimulating factor.Autologous peripheral blood stem cells were collected and then were transplanted via tail vein injection after the pretreatment regimen of cyclophosphamide.Rats in the model control group were treated with an equal volume of peripheral blood,and with other procedures as the stem cell transplantation group.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Swimming time and survival rate of rats from each group after stem cell transplantation;attenuation rate of repetitive nerve electric stimulation action potential and titer of serum acetylcholine receptor Ab were measured at 4 and 9 weeks after stem cell transplantation.RESULTS:The survival rate was higher in the stem cell transplantation group than in the model control group(P

Objective To explore the clinical treatment of patients with stage Ⅲ carcinoma of colon and rectum by tegafur chemotherapeutic drugs combined with standardized adjuvant therapy. Methods The data of 60 cases of carcinoma of colon and rectum treated in Wenzhou Central hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were collected. The patients were divided into three groups, non standardized adjuvant treatment group of 18 cases, standardized adjuvant treatment group of 15 cases and tegafur drug combined with standardized treatment group of 27 cases. Recorded and compared the survival rate of the three groups within three years, the statistics of each group of disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival rate (OS). According to the duration of treatment group, the use of oxaliplatin combined with 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin (FOLFOX) treatment, analyzed and recorded OS and DFS. Follow-up examinations were performed in patients who did not receive adjuvant therapy. Recorded and compared the OS and DFS of each group. Results Tegafur drug combined with standardized treatment group DFS and OS were significantly higher than the other two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). In addition, when treated with FOLFOX regimen, the DFS and OS of group Ⅲ were significantly higher than those of groupⅠand groupⅡ, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). In the follow-up survey of three groups, the rates of recurrence and death in patients treated with tegafur drug combined with standardized treatment group were significantly lower than those in the non standardized adjuvant treatment group and the standardized adjuvant treatment group. Conclusion Tegafur combined with adjuvant therapy can significantly improve the standardization of the rate of carcinoma of colon and rectum and the rate of disease-free survival, it is suggested that doctors use chemotherapy combined with auxiliary standardized therapy, can significantly improve the survival of patients, and reduce the risk of disease recurrence rate.

ObjectiveTo monitor the early blood lactic acid concentration of patients with severe trauma who have been experienced routine surgery or damage control surgery,and explore the influence of surgical methods for the early lactate clearance rate.MethodsSelected 40 patients with severe trauma,they were divided into two groups with 20 cases each in accordance with the adopted operation mode,reference group by damage control surgery,and control group by routine surgery.Recorded acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ ) in patients after admission,blood lactic acid concentration at 6 h after admission and admission,calculated the early lactate clearance rate.ResultsIn reference group,blood lactic acid concentration at 6 h after admission was significantly lower than that in control group[ (3.5 ± 1.1 )mmol/L vs.(4.2 ± 1.4) mmol/L,P＜ 0.05 ],early lactate clearance rate was higher than that in control group [ (24.6 ± 6.3 )％ vs.( 11.4 ± 5.3 )％,P＜ 0.05 ].Conclusions Damage control surgery in patients with severe trauma in favour of the early removal of lactic acid,maintaining the homeostasis of the organism,is the key to improve the achievement ratio of treatment with severe trauma.

To solve the problem of cardiac arrhythmias classification, we proposed a novel algorithm based on the multi-feature fusion and support vector machines (SVM). Kernel independent component analysis (KICA) was used to extract nonlinear features and wavelet transform (WT) was used to extract time-frequency features. Combining these features could include more information about the disease. We designed the classification model based on SVM combined with error correcting output codes (ECOC). Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) and Area Under the ROC curve (AUC) value were used to assess the classification model. The value of AUC is 0.956 against MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. Experimental results showed effectiveness of the proposed method.

Objective To evaluate the effect of polydatin on neuropathic pain in rats.Methods Forty male Sprague-Dawley rats,aged 6-8 weeks,weighing 200-230 g,were randomly divided into 5 groups (n =8 each) using a random number table:sham operation group (group S),neuropathic pain group (group NP),polydatin 5 mg/kg group (group P1),polydatin 10 mg/kg group (group P2),and polydatin 20 mg/kg group (group P3).Neuropathic pain was induced by chronic constriction injury in NP and P1-3 groups.In group S,the sciatic nerve was only exposed but not ligated.In S and NP groups,normal saline 0.1 ml was injected intraperitoneally immediately after operation and at 1,3,5 and 7 days after operation (T1-4).In P1-3 groups,polydatin 5,10 and 20 mg/kg (in normal saline 0.1 ml) were injected intraperitoneally immediately after operation and at T1-4.At 1 day before operation (T0) and T1-4,the mechanical paw withdrawal threshold (MWT) and thermal paw withdrawal latency (TWL) were measured.After measurement of pain threshold at T4,the rats were sacrificed,and L4-6 segments of the spinal cords were removed for determination of the expression of high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1),Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4),interleukin-1beta (IL-1β),tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) by Western blot.Results Compared with group S,the MWT was significantly decreased,and the TWL was significantly shortened at T1-4 in group NP,the MWT was significantly decreased at T1-4,and the TWL was significantly shortened at T2-4 in group P1,the MWT was significantly decreased at T1-4,and the TWL was significantly shortened at T3.4 in group P2,the MWT was significantly decreased at T1-4 in group P3,and the expression of HMGB1,TLR4,IL-1β,TNF-α and MCP-1 was significantly up-regulated in NP,P1 and P2 groups (P＜0.05).Compared with group NP,the MWT was significantly increased at Tt-4,and the TWL was significantly prolonged at T1,2 in group P2,the MWT was significantly increased,and the TWL was significantly prolonged at T1-4 in group P3,the expression of HMGB1,TLR4,IL-1β,TNF-α and MCP-1 was significantly down-regulated in P2 and P3 groups (P＜0.05),and no significant change was found in the parameters mentioned above in group P1 (P＞0.05).Compared with group P1,the MWT was significantly increased at T4 in group P2,and the MWT was significantly increased at T14,the TWL was significantly prolonged at T3,4,and the expression of HMGB1,TLR4,IL-1β,TNF-α and MCP-1 was significantly down-regulated in group P3 (P＜0.05).Compared with group P2,the MWT was significantly increased at T3,4,and the expression of TLR4,IL-1β,TNF-α and MCP-1 was significantly down-regulated in group P3 (P＜0.05).Conclusion Polydatin can alleviate neuropathic pain through inhibiting inflammatory responses in the spinal cord of rats.

Objective:To observe the image characteristics of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patients with primary vitreoretinal lymphoma (PVRL).Methods:A retrospective clinical study. Thirty-two eyes of 19 patients diagnosed with PVRL by vitreous pathology in the Department of Ophthalmology, Beijing Tongren Hospital from September 2016 to October 2019 were included in this study. There were 7 males and 12 females. The median age was 56 years. The mean time from symptom onset to final diagnosis was 6.1±3.8 months. The first diagnosis was uveitis in 12 cases (63.1%, 12/19), retinal vein occlusion in 2 cases (10.5%, 2/19), central retinal artery occlusion in 1 case (5.3%, 1/19), and suspected PVRL of camouflage syndrome in 4 cases (21.1%, 4/19). Routine ophthalmic examination and frequency-domain OCT examination were performed in all the patients, and typical images were stored for analysis. According to the examination results, PVRL OCT signs were divided into vitreous cells, inner retinal infiltration, outer retinal infiltration, retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) infiltration, sub-RPE infiltration, and subretinal fluid.Results:Vitreous cells were found in all eyes (100.0%, 32/32). RPE infiltrated were observed in 19 eyes (59.4%, 19/32), RPE infiltration in 16 eyes (50.0%, 16/32), outer retinal infiltration in 8 eyes (25.0%, 8/32), inner retinal infiltration in 16 eyes (50.0%, 16/32), and subretinal fluid in 4 eyes (12.5%, 4/32).Conclusions:PVRL OCT signs can involve vitreous and retinal anatomical levels, including vitreous cells, inner retinal infiltration, outer retinal infiltration, RPE infiltration, sub-RPE infiltration and subretinal fluid. The same patient can show multiple signs at the same time.

-?-D-glucan test.CT finding indicated the pulmonary nodules or masses in 9 cases.Plaque and flocculation lesion found in 3 cases.Ten cases were treated,in which 8 cases were cured,1 case was improved,1 case was dead.The effective rate was 90%,the curative rate was 80%,and the mortality rate was 8.3%.The two cases without treatment were stable.CONCLUSIONS The leading etiologic species of pulmonary fungal infections in the mid-later stage after liver transplantation are Aspergillus and Cryptococcous.It is different between early stage and mid-later stage after liver transplantation on clinical feature,outcome and anti-fungal medicine tolerability.
