, 15min),the clearance of reticuloendothelial system (RES) of mice on iv charcoal particles were decreased apparently; serum hemolysin concentration were diminished notably; delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH) reaction induced by sheep red blood cell (SRBC) were inhibited obviously. Ginseng root saponins (GRS) 50, 100 mg ??? kg-1ip at 15min before the heat-stressprotected the immunity of mice from inhibitory effects induced by the heat-stressor. The suppression of the clearance of RES on charcoal particles, serum hemolysin concentration as well as DTH reaction induced by SRBC were all abolished by GRS.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
Ginseng root saponins ( GRS ) was extracted from native ginseng. The dosage used was calculated according to the content of saponins.Immunosuppression in mice was induced in 15 days after implar- ting Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) subcutaneously in armpit, and in 5-11 days after implanting EAC into peritoneal cavity. GRS administered orally 50mg/kg- for 8 days did not prevent the atrophy of the thymus in tumor-bearing mice but rather aggravated it. GRS administered orally 50mg/kg for 14 days partially restored the suppressed phagocytosis of peritoneal macrophages in tumor-bearing mice. GRS administered orally 50mg/kg for 6 days somewhat restored the suppression of hemolysin formation in tumor-bearing mice 5 days after implanting EAC, But GRS given in the same route and dosage for 9 days, showed no effect on the suppression of hemolysin formation. GRS administered orally 50mg/kg for 10 days partially restored the suppression of delayed hypersensitive reaction in tumor-bearing mice.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
The peripheral blood T- lymphocyte percentage, lympocyte percentage in white blood cell (WBC) of mice in heat environment (45C, 15 min) were diminished, and serum corticosterone increased. Ginseng root saponins (GRS) 50, 100 mg/kg were administered ip at 15 min before the heat-stress, the suppression of peripheral blood T-lymphocyte percentage were prevented, but could not inhibit the increase ofserum corticosterone. GRS 50mg?kg-1ip could inhibit the redution of peripheral lymphocyte percentage. GRS 50mg?kg-1 ,reserpine 0.5mg? kg-1or physostigmine salicylate 0.3 mg?kg-1ip abolished the inhibiting effect of heat-stress on DTH reaction in mice.

DLUT4060 piezoelectric multi-component force platforms and DVM8820 three-dimensional infrared image capture system were used to test the sit-to-walk (STW) movements of 11 healthy elderly (72. 6 +/- 12. 2 years old) and 11 healthy young (19. 7 +/-1. 3 years old) individuals. Firstly, we studied the effects of seat-heights on the ground reaction forces, the velocity of the center of mass, and action time duration. Then we discussed the movement strategies and falling risks of the persons in the two age groups respectively. Finally, we decided the best seat height for the two age groups. It was found that the best seat heights for both the two age groups were 100% popliteal height. This height may make the subject get the greatest biomechanical advantages and the lowest falling risks. The popliteal height must be concerned when designing and fixing up the public activity area facilities and daily life of the elderly. To some extent, it can reduce the falling risk of the elderly.

Objective To compare the lower limb alignment and prosthesis position after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with or without using electromagnetic navigation. Methods Sixty-four patients (100 knees) underwent TKA under electromagnetic navigation, while 62 patients (100 knees) underwent conventional TKA.Three months after operation, the mechanical axial line angle and prosthesis position (angels α,β,γ) were measured via the full-length radiograph of both lower limbs and anteriorposterior and lateral Xrays of the knee. Results The average mechanical axial line angle and angle α were 1.20°±1.92°and 89.33°±1.64° in navigation group, respectively, and 2.31°±2.25° and 88.68°±2.57° in conventional group. And the differences were significant with regard to the above two indexes between two groups. The average angle β and angle γ were 89.64°±1.47° and 90.86°±2.37° in navigation group, respectively, and 89.26°±2.05° and 90.59°±3.44° in conventional group. However, the differences were not significant with regard to the above two indexes between two groups. After operation, mechanical axial line angle error was within ±3°in 86% of patients in navigation group, while in 79% of patients in conventional group; there was no significant difference between them. The angle α error was within 90°±3° in 92% of patients in navigation group, while in 77% of patients in conventional group; there was significant difference between them. However, there were no significant differences in percentage of patients whose errors of angle β and angle γ were within 90°±3° between two groups. Conclusion With using electromagnetic navigation in TKA,more precise prosthesis position and the mechanical axis can be achieved compared with the conventional technique. And its advantages mainly contribute to the coronal plane of the femoral side rather than the tibial side.
7.Distribution of planter pressure in school children during walking with different loads on their backs.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;25(4):852-855
The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the distribution of pressure under the feet School Children who were carrying different loads on their backs and were walking through the Footscan plantar pressure distribution analytical system. The result showed that the maximum force on the second and third metatarsus increased and the contact phase of walking delayed while walking with a bag weighing 4 kilograms. The variation of center of sure (COP) in mediolateral (M/L) direction was larger. The children must move limb to maintain balance. The proportion of foot pronation and supination enhanced the cause of an ankle sprain. The findings of this study suggest that, for prevention of abnormal corpus callosum and for the normal development of the arch, attention should be given to restricting the weight of children's schoolbags and to avoiding their overloaded walking or standing for a long time.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(15):1118-1121
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the effection of the pulmonary function of patients of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) with asthma which treated with endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) based comprehensive treatment.
METHOD:
There were 50 cases of chronic rhinosinusitis with asthma whom met the study criteria. 35 cases enrolled in the tri al group, which treated with endoscopic sinus surgery, and routine perioperative tratment. Another 15 cases as control group which underwent conservative treatment. Both groups underwent the rule treatment of asthma. The main monitoring indexes, which included visual analogue scale (VAS) score, endoscopic Lund-Kennedy score, control of asthma symptoms, the pulmonary function which involved forced expiratory volume in first second (FEV1), forced vital capacity (FVC), the ratio of forced expiratory volume in first second and forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC) and peak expiratory flow (PEF), were measured in the patients of each groups before surgery, follow-up for 1 year and 3-year.
RESULT:
Our study found that the VAS score of CRS with asthma was significantly negatively correlated with FEV1 and PEF (P < 0.05), endoscopic Lund-Kennedy score was significantly negatively correlated with PEF (P < 0.05); After the trial group underwent ESS based comprehensive treatment, the improvement of VAS score and endoscopic Lund-Kennedy score of postoperative compared with preoperative and the same period in the control group were significantly (P < 0.05). The difference of the postoperative asthma control rate of trial group after 1 year and after 3 years, respectively, compared with the same period control group were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The preoperative FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC and PEF of trial group compared with preoperative were significantly (P < 0.05). Even the difference of them compared with the same period control group were significantly (P < 0.05), except the FVC in the follow-up 3 years (P = 0.088).
CONCLUSION
The CRS may aggravate asthma symptoms and affect negatively the pulmonary function, and poor asthma control or aggravate may exacerbate the CRS in the course of CRS with asthma patient. With ESS based on combined therapy, it can improve the condition of CRS significantly and improve the control of asthma symptoms and pulmonary function else.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2020;40(3):186-192
Due to its advantages of low wear, high stability and flexibility, the new generation metal-on-metal hip prosthesis is favored by many patients with hip diseases, especially young patients. However, in recent years, several studies have indicated that adverse reactions to metal debris (ARMD) caused the formation of inflammatory pseudotumor, which ultimately led to a higher revision rate after metal-on-metal hip arthroplasty. This aroused the widespread concern from doctors and patients. Moreover, revision surgery for metal-on-metal hip arthroplasty in the setting of inflammatory pseudotumor is faced with a great risk of failure because of the large defects of bone and surrounding soft tissue and difficulty in removing the original prosthesis and the fixing of the modified prosthesis. Therefore, the use of such products is restricted with caution in their choice. We summarized the recent developments in the research in the risk factors, diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory pseudotumor after metal-on-metal hip arthroplasty. The risk factors for the formation of inflammatory pseudotumor around the hip prosthesis mainly include the increase of metal ion concentration, the position of prosthesis implantation and the patient's own factors. The diagnosis mainly depends on physical examination, imaging examination, laboratory examination, arthroscopy and histological examination. The treatment strategies for clinical symptomatic and asymptomatic patients are also varies. Through the detailed analysis, evaluation and summary of the above contents, we may provide guidance for the selection of hip prosthesis, and lay the foundation for further exploration of the mechanism of inflammatory pseudotumor caused by ARMD.
