Objective To test the reliability and validity of the home care demand forecasting scale for fracture patients when they were before discharge. Methods This study was descriptive study. Convenience sampling was used and 412 patients with fracture from 5 comprehensive hospitals in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture were selected. Finally, the number of valid questionnaires is 398 which were used for testing. Results Five factors and 32 items were eventually determined. The split-half reliability coefficient was 0.910, and split-half coefficient in each dimension was over 0.75; the content validity showed scale level content validity index(S-CVI) was 0.948, and the index in each item′s item level content validity index (I-CVI) was between 0.76 to 1.00. The result of factor analysis included 5 factors and the cumulative contribution of variance was 59.181%. The result of construct validity χ2/df=1.554, root mean square error approximation (RMSEA)=0.037, goodness-of-fit index (GFI)=0.920. The total of scale′s Cronbach coefficient was 0.948, Each dimension′s Cronbach coefficient was between 0.797-0.875. Conclusions The home care demand forecasting scale was proved to be reliable and valid. It can be used to assess the home-care needs of fracture patients before they were discharge.

Objective To study the relationships between the standing balance and walking ability of hemiplegic stroke survivors.Methods Eighty-eight post-stroke hemiplegic patients who could walk independently for more than 10 metres were selected into a patient group,while 88 healthy counterparts were recruited into a control group.Descriptors of the gait and balance function of both groups were collected using a gait and balance training and evahuation apparatus (Model:AL-600).The gait parameters were step width,walking speed,step length asymmetry (SLA),swing time asymmetry (SWTA) and stand time asymmetry (STA).The balance parameters studied were total trajectory length of the center of plantar pressure (COPD),the average left and right deviation of the center of plantar pressure (COPD-X) and the average anterio-posterior deviation of the center of plantar pressure (COPD-Y).Differences in indexes of gait and balance function between the two groups were analyzed using t-tests,and the relationships between the gait and balance indicators were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients.Results The walking speed,step width,COPD,COPD-X,COPD-Y,SLA,SWTA and STA of the patient group [(37.64± 18.29)cm/s,(14.45±4.17)cm,(66.75±29.04)cm,(2.04±1.41)cm,(2.48±1.28)cm,(1.30±0.46),(1.65±0.67) and (1.18±0.16),respectively] all increased significantly more compared to the control group [(90.76±14.72)cm/s,(8.70±2.62) cm,(27.84±6.54) cm,(1.30±0.53) cm,(1.68±0.40) cm,(1.07±0.06),(1.07±0.08) and (1.05±0.06),respectively],though the walking speed was significantly slower than that in the control group (P＜0.05).The patient group's average COPD-X showed slightly and moderately negative correlation with their walking speed,step width,SLA and SWTA (P＜0.05).COPD-Y was weakly related with step width (P＜0.05).Conclusion The standing balance of hemiplegic patients after stroke is related to their walking speed,step width and gait asymmetry.Especially significant correlation is observed between standing balance parameters such as COPD-X and gait parameters.

Stroke is one of the diseases that seriously endanger human health without effective treatment at present, due to the lack of in-depth understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neuronal cell death after ischemia. In the present article, in order to lay the foundations for the development of therapeutic regimens for ischemic stroke, we review the underlying pathophysiology of ischemic stroke including apoptosis, excitotoxicity, oxidative and nitrative stress, inflammation, innate and adaptive immune cells, the gutmicrobiota and intracranial atherosclerosis, and reveal the intertwinedpathways that are promising therapeutic targets.

Objective To explore the interaction of foot placement, trunk control and weight-bearing (WB) during sit-to-stand (STS) movement. Methods 32 hemiplegic stroke patients (experimental group) and 32 healthy people (control group) were recruited and completed STS movement with 3 different foot positions: ankle dorsiflexed 10° of both feet (BF), with the paretic foot posterior (PFP) or the undominant foot posterior (UDFP), with the non-paretic foot posterior (NPFP) or the dominant foot posterior (DFP). Balance function assessment system (model AL-080) was used for collecting the WB, WB asymmetry (WBasym), and the center of pressure of the buttocks in medial-lateral (CoPx) and anterior-posterior (CoPy) sway during STS movement. Results The control group had the mostly WB symmetry, and little trunk side movement in BF, and there was significant difference in all indicators compared with in DFP or UDFP. For the experiment group, the WB, WBasym and CoPx were different as BF from as NPFP (P<0.05); while all the indicators except CoPx were different from PFP. When PFP, the trunk moved to the non-paretic side, and then to paretic side, all the indicators were different from NPFP. When BF and NPFP of the experiment group compared with BF and DFP of the control group, all the indicators were different (P<0.05). CoPx and CoPy increased in the experiment group compared with the control group. CoPx negatively correlate with WBasym in the experiment group (r=-0.626, P<0.001) and in the control group (r=-0.776, P<0.001). Conclusion The trunk side movement affects weight-bearing symmetry, and foot placement can modify weight-bearing distribution during the STS movement in hemiplegic stroke patients.

Objective:To observe factors influencing the risk of urinary tract infection (UTI) after cerebral hemorrhage (ICH).Methods:A total of 77 ICH patients undergoing rehabilitation between August 2015 and August 2017 were studied. Among them, 24 were diagnosed with a UTI according to clinical manifestations and urine routine tests and urine culture. They formed the UTI group. The other 53 were the non-UTI group. Complete clinical evaluations were available for all 77, and those data were used to identify risk factors for UTI using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis.Results:The univariate analysis showed that age, side of paralysis, consciousness dysfunction, Brunnstrom staging of the lower extremity, tracheotomy, indwelling catheter, lung infection, white blood cell count, neutrophil percentage, serum natrium, uric acid, D-dimer level and fibrinogen were all significant predictors of UTI. The multivariate analysis identified age, right side hemiplegia and D-dimer level as useful predictors.Conclusions:Advanced age and a high D-dimer level are independent risk factors for UTI after ICH, while hemiplegia on the right side is a protective factor.

Proceeding from the requirements of teaching target for postgraduate students,the course of progress in pathophysiology was constructed and administrated.The course objective was defined which combined teaching knowledge with fostering students' ability together,especially the ability to think new ideas and to do scientific research.Aiming at this teaching target,the teaching contents which combined with the direction of scientific research of the department was growing together with scientific development,especially in new knowledge and new technique.Multiple teaching means and several mode of examine were adopted during the process of teaching practice.

To investigate the neuroprotective effect and possible molecular mechanism of PNU-282987 on rats subjected to ischemia and reperfusion. In this study, middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion(MCAO/R)in rats was used as the animal model. The 44 Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were divided into 4 groups, sham group, model group, low-dose of PNU-282987(1. 2 mg/kg)and high-dose of PNU-282987(2. 4 mg/kg)treatment group. Y-maze test was tested for the learning and memory abilities of rats, and we also examined the brain infarct size, brain edema and neurological dysfunction in rats. Furthermore, HE staining was used to evaluate the neuronal injury and TUNEL assay was used to evaluate the neuronal apoptosis in the rat brain. The results revealed that the learning and memory abilities of rats in treatment group improved significantly, and treatment with PNU-282987 reduced brain infarct size, lessoned brain edema, lessened neurological dysfunction, ameliorated pathological injury and prevented neuronal apoptosis. The above results suggest that the underlying mechanism of PNU-282987 on improving learning and memory abilities of rats after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion may include the inhibition of neuronal apoptosis.

To investigate the effects and possible molecular mechanism of S-oxiracetam(S-ORC) on learning and memory impairment in mice, mice were divided into 5 groups, control group, model group, high-dose of S-ORC (0.96 g/kg), medium-dose of S-ORC (0.48 g/kg) and low-dose of S-ORC (0.24 g/kg) treatment groups.Step-down test and Y-maze test were used to investigate the effects of S-ORC on the brain.The results of step-down test revealed that the mice in high and medium-dose groups could significantly decrease the reaction time, fault times and prolong the incubation periods of memory compared with the model group.Compared with the model group, the fault times of mice in high and medium-dose groups decreased significantly and the right times to find the safety increased significantly in Y-maze test.Furthermore, through treatment with S-ORC (high and medium-dose groups), the content of Ach in mice brain was significantly higher than that in model group, and the level of AChE decreased significantly.The above results suggest that the underlying mechanism of S-ORC on learning and memory impairment in mice may include the amelioration of the central cholinergic nervous system.

Streptococcus salivarius K12 is a kind of bacteria that settled in the mucosal epithelium of human mouth and nasopharynx shortly after human birth. It is found that Streptococcus salivarius K12 is a probiotic beneficial to human health. Many studies have confirmed that Streptococcus salivarius K12 has bioactive effects against oral and oropharyngeal inflammation and infection, dental caries, halitosis and oral epithelial damage. This paper reviews the research progress of Streptococcus salivarius K12 in the prevention and treatment of oral and oropharyngeal diseases.

A total of 50 clinical imipenem-resistant isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii were subjected to the ceftazidime-2- mercaptoethanol -double-disk synergy test and to the PCR assays with primers specific for bla(IMP-1). After the process of sequencing the positive one to identify the results, PCR analysis was conducted with primers specific for class 1 integrons. For synergy test, 28 isolates gave positive results, among which were 27 Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii. Only one Pseudomonas aeruginosa was found to carry bla(IMP-1), and bla(Int1) at the same time. This is the first ascertainment of IMP-1 producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolate carrying bla(IntI1) in West China, which is of significance to the research on the clinical spread of these drug-resisitant genes.
