1.Progress on pathogenesis of essential thrombocythemia
International Journal of Pediatrics 2011;38(1):30-33
Essential thrombocythemia (ET) which is a clonal disease of hematopoietic stem cell mainly reflects hyperplasia of megakaryocyte. Childhood ET is characterized by persistance of thrombocytosis, mild to moderate hepatomegalia and splenomegalia, thrombogenesis and hemorrhage complications. The pathogenesis of ET is obviously associated with the abnormal or disturbance expression of multiple genes, micro RNAs,immunological molecules and some chromosome aberration. This review will focus on recent developments in the pathogenesis of ET in molecular biology, immunology and cytogenetics.

Objective:To elucidate the effect of osteogenic growth peptide (OGP) on proliferation and differentiation of human periodontal ligament cells on titanium disc in vitro. Methods:Human periodontal ligament cells were cultured located on titanium disc individually in medium contained various concentrations of OGP;and cell proliferation quantity were examined by MTT and alkaline phosphatase activity were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbentassay. Results:In vitro, the addition of OGP in cultures resulted in an increase of cell proliferation and ALP activity(P
7.Research of hypoxia-inducible factor in tumor angiogenesis
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(6):416-418
Hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) is an important transcriptional factor, which plays crucial role in response to hypoxia.HIF is highly expressed in many human cancers, and it is closely related to tumor angiogenesis.HIF promotes tumor growth, invasion and metastasis via up-regulating vascular endothelial growth factor gene and starting associated angiogenesis. With the in-depth study of HIF regulation of tumor angiogenesis mechanism,HIF is expected to become an important target for anti-angiogenesis therapy.
8.Clinical and imaging evaluation in children with congenital airway abnormalities
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2013;20(4):369-372
Objective To analyse clinical and imaging characteristics of congenital airway abnormalities, and to guide the clinical diagnosis and reduce rate of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. Methods Clinical and imaging characteristics in children who had been diagnosed congenital airway abnormalities in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from 2005 to 2011 were reviewed and analysed retrospectively. Results Of 23 children,12 cases were male,11 cases were female, the age was from 1 month to 10 years, the average age was 32 months. The disease course was from 3 days to 3 months,an average was 18 days.Clinical manifestations were repeated coughing, wheezing, dyspnea and recurrent respiratory infection.Through the spiral CT and three dimensional reconstruction, enhanced CT examination,6 cases of tracheobronchial stenosis,3 cases of trachea and bronchus,1 case of dysplasia of the left pulmonary artery and vein,3 cases of pulmonary sequestration,4 cases of pulmonary cyst and 6 cases of pulmonary hypoplasia were found. Conclusion Missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis of congenital airway malformations often occurs. When the following features were observed, congenital airway malformations may be taken into account:persistent cough; repeated or persistent wheezing, treated ineffectively with anti-inflammatory agent and bronchodilators ; recurrent or persistent stridor; repeated pulmonary infections, dyspnea; repeated or persistent pneumonia in the same part and unexplainedly mediastinal shift in X ray chest radiography.Spiral CT three dimensional reconstruction and enhancement is of great value in diagnosis of airway malformation.
9.Effects of vascular endothelial growth factor from pulmonary stromal cells on differentiation and function of dendritic cells
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2011;30(12):1043-1046
Objective To observe the effects of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)from pulmonary stromal cells on differentiation and function of mature dendritic cells (mDC) and the immune tolerance. Methods Co-culture system of murine pulmonary stroma cells (MPSC)/mDC was established as control group, and VEGF-Ab add-on treatment to co-culture cells as experimental group.Cytokines secreted from pulmonary stroma cells were detected by RT-PCR.The expression of cellular phenotype and ability of the mDC-induced T cells reproductive activity were detected by flow cytometry and CCK-8,respectively.Results CD86 expression of VEGF-Ab group was higher than of control group (P < 0.05).There was no difference in the ability of mDC-induced T cells reproductive activity between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions VEGF might be involved in the regulation of immune tolerance by reducing expression of CD86 in dendritic cells.
