Objective To obsere the effectiveness of the Relume broad band ultraviolet B (UV-B) in repigmenting of the pregnant abdominal stretch marks. Methods In the study, 20 cases of pregnant abdominal stretch marks subjects were irradiated locally with Relume UVB phototherapy regimen. According to their skin variation, the wave length and frequency were chosen. The treatment was perfromed once a week with 6 weeks duration. Results Except 3 cases of non-compliance, 17 cases had been followed up for 4 months. 100% Subjects shown the increased pigmentation on the stretch marks. 29.4% (5 cases) obtained excellent result in repigmentation. 70.6% (12 cases) were satisfied. Conclusion The Relume UV-B phototherapy can be a useful treatment option for the pregnant abdominal stretch marks with safety and efficacy.

Objective To analyze the application rules of Jiaotong Xinshentreating principle in modern clinic based on TCM inheritance auxiliary platform.MethodsJiaotong Xinshen treating principle related prescriptions in CNKI and Wanfang databases were analyzed.“Jiaotong Xinshen”and “Xinshen Bujiao” were set as key words to retrieve relevant prescriptions in the databases. TCM inheritance auxiliary platform (V2.5) software was used to establish database. Data mining methods, such as frequency statistics and association rules were used to analyze new prescriptions aboutJiaotong Xinshen treating principle guided medication rules.ResultsTotally186 prescriptions were collected and analyzed. Medicine frequency and association rules among medicines in the prescriptions were confirmed. 12 medical combinations and 6 new prescriptions were mined.ConclusionThe data management platform and data mining methods can be applied in discovering the prescription patterns and medications rules ofJiaotong Xinshen treating principle in clinical application.

Objective:To determine the content of ferric oxide in calamine powder. Methods:Flame atomic absorption spectrom-etry ( FAAS) was used to determine the content of ferric oxide. The determination results were compared with those of the titration method. Results:There was a good linear relationship between the absorbance and the concentration of iron within the range of 0. 5-4μg·ml-1 , the relative standard deviation of the repeatability test was 1. 2%, the average recoveries were 100. 4% and 99. 4%, the limit of quantitation and detection was 0. 081 μg·ml-1 and 0. 024 μg·ml-1 , respectively. Conclusion:The method of FAAS is ac-curate and quick with good specificity and high sensitivity, which can be used for the determination of ferric oxide in calamine powder.

OBJECTIVETo explore the relationship between salivary proteome and dental caries and to promote the biomarker studies of dental caries susceptibility by comparing the salivary proteome of caries-active children and caries-free children with electrospray ionization ion-trap tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS/MS).

METHODSTen caries-active children and ten caries-free children were sampled. The salivary proteome of the two groups was studied, and the differential protein between the two groups was analyzed by ESI-MS/MS after sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, filter-aided sample preparation, and liquid chromatography.

RESULTSThe concentration of salivary protein was higher in the caries-active group than in the caries-free group. The polypeptide counts of thecaries-active and caries-free groups were 602 and 481, which belonged to 286 and 227 proteins, respectively. The differential polypeptide count of the two groups was 361, and the differential protein count was 118. The detected proteins included matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9), mucin-7 (MUC7), lactotransferrin (LTF), carbonic anhydrase 6 (CA6), azurocidin (AZU), and cold agglutinin.

CONCLUSIONThe total salivary protein was higher in the caries-active group than in the caries-free group. The preliminary detection of differential proteins (MMP9, MUC7, LTF, CA6, AZU, and cold agglutinin) may lay some foundation for biomarker research of dental caries susceptibility.

The magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (MMIPs), based on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles being modified by surface grafting, have been successfully synthesized, with dibutyl phthalate (DBP) as template molecule, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as cross-linking agent and azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and elemental analysis were employed to characterize the MMIPs. The structure and magnetic properties of the MMIPs were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. The BET surface area shows that MMIPs is 380 m2/g and MNIPs is 324 m2/g. A series of static adsorption experiments were conducted to analyze its adsorption performance, which followed pseudo-second-order model by the kinetic analysis with correlation coefficient (R2) 0.9797, and Sips equation with correlation coefficient (R2) 0.999 by the isothermal analysis. The imprinting factors of diallyl phthalate (DAP), DBP and di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) were 1.53, 2.21 and 1.39 respectively, showing that MMIPs had better recognition performance for DBP. The experiment of regeneration recycles with five times showed the regeneration ability of DBP was only reduced by 12.3％.

ObjectiveTo investigate the related risk factors ot the portal vein thrombosis (PVT) in patients with liver cirrhosis.MethodsThirty-seven liver cirrhosis patients with PVT (PVT group) and 100 liver cirrhosis patients without PVT (control group) from Jan.2007 to Dec.2009 were enrolled.The clinical data of these patients were collected and the related risk factors of PVT were analyzed.ResultsThe increase of D-dimer,severe esophageal varices(EV) and portal hypertension gastropathy(PHG) were the risk factors of PVT in liver cirrhosis patients(OR =12.872,3.916 and 2.851).No significant correlation was found between sex,platelets,albumin and PVT.ConclusionsThe increase of D-dimer,severe EV and PHG are the main risk factors of PVT.The above examinations should be used to monitor patients with liver cirrhosis for early prevention and diagnosis of PVT.

Objective To report a case of cutaneous infection due to Trichosporon dermatis. Methods Lesional discharge and tissue were obtained and subjected to microscopic examination, fungal culture and histopathology, respectively. The fungal isolate was then identified with DNA sequence analysis, API 20C AUX system, gelatin liquefaction test, thermal tolerance test. Antifungal susceptibility test was also performed for the fungus. Results A 70-year-old male presented with a 9-month history of ulcerated swelling of the right medial malleolus after plant puncture. Direct microscopic examination of lesional discharge showed no fungal elements, but histopathological biopsy revealed hyphae and spores in the dermis. Yellowish white yeast-like colony grew on Sabouraud dextrose agar (SDA). Slide culture showed pseudohyphae, true hyphae, arthroconidia and blastoconidia. The isolate was identified as Candida humicola by API 20C AUX system, but as T. dermatis by DNA sequence analysis. The strain was unable to liquefy gelatin, could grow at 25 ℃ to 40 ℃, and was sensitive to amphotericin B, itraconazole, voriconazole and nystatin. The skin lesion completely subsided after 4-month treatment with oral itraconazole. Conclusions The isolate is identified as T. dermatis according to morphological features and DNA sequence, which is sensitive to itraconazole.

Objective To investigate the efficiency of 16S rRNA Real-time reverse transcription PCR technique in the diagnosis of periprosthetic joint infection,and compare its sensitivity and specificity with conventional culture.Methods There were 43 revision cases from July 2013 to December 2015.Synovial fluid collected by puncture preoperatively,tissues from five different parts around the prosthesis collected intra-operatively were cultured by blood plate and BacT/Alert FN respectively.The 16S rRNA in interface membrane was detected by real-time reverse transcription PCR as a marker to diagnose PJI.At the same time,the synovial fluid was routinely bacterial cultured.We compared the sensitivity and specificity of two methods.Results There are 22 THAs and 21 TKAs respectively in 43 cases,23 cases diagnosed prosthetic joint infection and 20 cases diagnosed non prosthetic joint infection.The sensitivity of 16S rRNA Real-time reverse transcription PCR is higher than the conventional bacterial culture (78.2％ vs.47.8％).There was no difference in the specificity and PPV and NPV.For PCR in prosthetic joint infection group,Staphylococcus epidermidis in 5 cases,Staphylococcus aureus in 3 cases,streptococcus in 4 cases,E.coli in 2 cases,Staphylococcus lugdunensis,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Staphylococcus haemolyticus and Mycoplasma in 1 case respectively.For culture in prosthetic joint infection group,Staphylococcus epidermidis in 5 cases,Staphylococcus aureus in 2 cases,Staphylococcus lugdunensis,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Staphylococcus haemolyticus and E.coli in 1 case respectively.For non prosthetic joint infection group,PCR and culture are all negative.Conclusion The sensitivity of 16S rRNA Real-time reverse transcription PCR is higher than the conventional bacterial culture.

Objective To establish a rat model at the same time in accordance with the “hot sheng syndrome” of traditional Chinese medicine and primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura of peripheral blood platelet reduction. Methods Using back multi-point injection of 20% dry yeast suspension on SD rats and 1∶4 dilution of rabbit anti SD rats platelet serum (APS) by intraperitoneal injection to establish a primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura “heat sheng”rat model.And observing rats of TCM syndrome characteristics, hemogram, myelogram and serotonin (5-HT) level of the temperature regulating center in thalamus.Results After injection of 2 h ~6 h temperature and daily water of the model group rats increased significantly,toe purper showed in fourth day of modeling and intestinal mucosal bleeding in thirty day of modeling(P <0.05);Platelet count in peripheral blood decreased significantly, bone marrow megakaryocyte number reduced significantly((P <0.05);5-HT level of the temperature regulating center of brain increased significantly((P <0.05).Conclusions The study of the primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura heat sheng rat model of combination of disease and syndrome reflected basically the pathological characteristics of purpura caused by “heat sheng” in primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura rat mode.

Objective:To construct and screen the high efficiency interference plasmid of TFAIP8-shRNA-pSIREN-RetroQ.Methods:Selected and synthesized three Target Sequence of TNFAIP8 shRNA1,TNFAIP8 shRNA2,TNFAIP8 shRNA3,and construct the TNFAIP8 interference plasmid.Transfection TNFAIP8-shRNA-pSIREN-RetroQ interference plasmid to A549 cells.Filter out the highest interference efficiency plasmid by detecting the mRNA and protein levels using RT-PCR and Western blot methods.Results:We successfully design and built three TNFAIP8-shRNA-pSIREN-RetroQ interference plasmids,and screen out the highest efficiency interference plasmid.Conclusion: Three interference plasmids targeting the TNFAIP8 gene have been constructed successfully and provide a useful tool for studying the function of TNFAIP8.
