Shengjiangsan is a classic formula for treating warm diseases with wide clinical application and accurate efficacy. There are different opinions on the origin of this formula and lacks key information research on this formula. Therefore， in this study， we conducted systematic research into the historic origin， composition， and other key information of this Shengjiangsan. Results showed that Shengjiangsan has different versions， with "Neixian Fufang"， "Jiawei Jianghuangwan"， "Peizhensan"， and "Taijiwan" being the same formula with different names. Shengjiangsan was first recorded as "Neixian Fufang" in Wanbing Huichun written by GONG Tingxian from the Ming dynasty， inherited and developed by YANG Lishan from Qing dynasty， and has been passed down to modern times. Pills and powder are two main forms of Shengjiangsan， and powder has become more popular nowadays. According to the measurement system of Ming and Qing dynasties， the recommended dosage and usage of Shengjiangsan are as follows. For the pill version of Shengjiangsan， Bombyx Batryticatus of 74.6 g， Curcumae Longae Rhizoma of 9.325 g， Cicadae Periostracum of 9.325 g， and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma of 149.2 g were processed into pills for preparation. Single dosage is Bombyx Batryticatus of 1.15 g， Curcumae Longae Rhizoma of 0.14 g， Cicadae Periostracum of 0.14 g， and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma of 2.3 g， with halved dosage applied for children. For the powder version of Shengjiangsan， the dosage varied in accordance with the severity of the disease. Bombyx Batryticatus of 1.84 g， Curcumae Longae Rhizoma of 0.28 g， Cicadae Periostracum of 0.92 g， and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma of 3.68 g were processed into powder for patients with mild symptoms. Bombyx Batryticatus of 2.48 g， Curcumae Longae Rhizoma of 0.37 g， Cicadae Periostracum of 1.23 g， and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma of 4.91 g were processed into powder for patients with severe symptoms. Bombyx Batryticatus of 3.68 g， Curcumae Longae Rhizoma of 1.84 g， Cicadae Periostracum of 0.55 g， and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma of 7.36 g were processed into powder for patients with critical conditions. In this formula， four herbs were ground to fine powder. For patients with mild symptoms， the whole formula was divided into four dosages， and each dosage weighed 6.71 g. The 200 mL yellow rice wine and 18.65 g honey were added， and the solution was stirred and taken cold till full recovery. For patients with severe symptoms， the whole formula was divided into three dosages， and each weighed 8.95 g. 300 mL yellow rice wine and 27.98 g honey were added， and the solution was stirred and taken cold. For patients with critical conditions， the whole formula was divided into two dosages， and each weighed 13.43 g. 400 mL yellow rice wine and 37.3 g honey were added， and the solution was stirred and taken cold. Shengjiangsan has the effect of ascending lucidity and descending turbidity， dissipating wind， and clearing heat. It is specialized in treating severe heat in exterior， interior， and triple energizers in warm diseases and has a wide modern clinical application. In this study， the historic evolution and key information of Shengjiangsan were reviewed and analyzed， and the key information table of Shengjiangsan was attached， serving as a reference for scholars' research and a theoretical basis for its market transformation.

ObjectiveTo establish fingerprint profiles and a quantitative determination method for Lycii Cortex， providing a scientific basis for the formulation of quality standards for Lycii Cortex and its roasted products. MethodsHigh performance liquid chromatography（HPLC） was developed for the quantitative method for determining kukoamine B in Lycii Cortex and its roasted products on an Alphasil XD-C₁₈ CH column（4.6 mm×250 mm， 5 μm）. HPLC fingerprint profiles were established for 10 batches of Lycii Cortex and its roasted products， and ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry（UPLC-Q-TOF-MS） was used to identify the common peaks based on reference standards， literature and MS information. Quality evaluation indicators included yield of decoction pieces， appearance properties， content of kukoamine B， and fingerprint profiles. The temperature and time of the roasting process were investigated to select the optimal preparation process， which was then verified. Additionally， chemical pattern recognition was combined to assess the differences in the chemical composition of Lycii Cortex before and after roasting， as well as among samples from different origins. ResultsQuantitative analysis indicated that the contents of kukoamine B in Lycii Cortex and its roasted products were 0.35%-5.51% and 0.24%-4.15%， respectively. The transfer rate of kukoamine B was 58.6%-78.9% after roasting. The fingerprint profile analysis demonstrated that the method established in this study effectively separated kukoamine B from other components in the samples and distinctly differentiated it from its impurity peak， cis-N-caffeoylputrescine. The HPLC fingerprint profiles of Lycii Cortex and its roasted products showed high similarity（all above 0.95）， with 7 common peaks identified and five common components， including kukoamine B， cis-N-caffeoylputrescine， N-coumaroyl tyramine， feruloyltyramine， and glucosyringic acid， confirmed. Process optimization confirmed that baking at 110 ℃ for 20 min was a stable and feasible method for roasting Lycii Cortex. Principal component analysis and cluster analysis showed that there was little difference in the chemical composition between raw and roasted Lycii Cortex， but the quality of Lycii Cortex from different origins differed greatly. ConclusionThis study successfully established the fingerprint profiles and a quantitative method for the effective component kukoamine B in Lycii Cortex and roasted Lycii Cortex. The qualitative and quantitative analyses clarified that the impact of the roasting process on the chemical composition of Lycii Cortex was less significant than the variations due to its geographical origin. The findings of this study offer a reference for the development of quality evaluation methods and the establishment of quality standards for Lycii Cortex and its processed products.

Sinisan is a classical prescription developed and applied by ancient medical experts and it is first recorded in the Treatise on Cold Damage written by ZHANG Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Later physicians have modified this prescription based on this original one. The bibliometrics methods were used to analyze the key information and research trend of Sinisan. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria， 69 pieces of effective data were extracted， involving 67 ancient traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） books. The results showed that the name， composition， and decocting methods of Sinisan in later generations were inherited from the original record in the Treatise on Cold Damage. The original plants of medicinal materials used in Sinisan are basically clear. We recommend Bupleuri Radix as the dried root of Bupleurem scorzonerifolium， Paeoniae Radix Alba as the dried root of Paeonia lactiflora， Aurantii Fructus as the dried fruit of Citrus aurantium， Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma as the dry root and rhizome of Glycyrrhiza uralensis. Raw materials of Bupleuri Radix and Paeoniae Radix Alba， Aurantii Fructus stir-fried with bran， and stir-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma should be used for preparation of Sinisan. According to measurement system in the Han Dynasty， a bag of Sinisan is composed of 1.25 g Bupleuri Radix， 1.25 g Paeoniae Radix Alba， 1.25 g Aurantii Fructus， and 1.25 g Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. The materials should be grounded into coarse powder and taken with a proper amount of rice soup， 3 times a day. Sinisan has the effects of regulating qi movement and harmonizing the liver and spleen. It can be used for treating reversal cold in limbs and cold damage. In modern clinical practice， Sinisan can be used to treat chronic gastritis， irritable bowel syndrome， and dyspepsia. The above research results provide scientific reference for the future research and development of Sinisan.

Houpo Sanwutang， included in the Catalogue of Ancient Classical Prescriptions （Second Batch）， was first recorded in the Synopsis of Golden Chamber written by ZHANG Zhongjing from the Eastern Han dynasty and was modified by successive generations of medical experts. A total of 37 pieces of effective data involving 37 ancient Chinese medical books were retrieved from different databases. Through literature mining， statistical analysis， and data processing， combined with modern articles， this study employed bibliometrics to investigate the historical origin， composition， decoction methods， clinical application， and other key information. The results showed that the medicinal origin of Houpo Sanwutang was clearly documented in classic books. Based on the conversion of the measurements from the Han Dynasty， it is recommended that 110.4 g Magnolia Officinalis Cortex， 55.2 g Rhei Radix et Rhizoma， and 72 g Aurantii Fructus Immaturus should be taken. Magnolia Officinalis Cortex and Aurantii Fructus Immaturus should be decocted with 2 400 mL water first， and 1 000 mL should be taken from the decocted liquid. Following this， Rhei Radix et Rhizoma should be added for further decoction， and then 600 mL should be taken from the decocted liquid. A single dose of administration is 200 mL， and the medication can be stopped when patients restore smooth bowel movement. Houpo Sanwutang has the effect of moving Qi， relieving stuffiness and fullness， removing food stagnation， and regulating bowels. It can be used in treating abdominal distending pain， guarding， constipation， and other diseases with the pathogenesis of stagnated heat and stagnated Qi in the stomach. The above results provide reference for the future development and research of Houpo Sanwutang.

Qingfeitang， specialized in resolving phlegm to stop cough and producing fluid to moisten dryness， is a classic prescription inherited and developed by physicians of successive generations and has been included in the Catalogue of Ancient Classic Prescriptions （First Batch） published by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine （TCM） in 2018. Relevant ancient books data and modern literature were collected by bibliometrics to analyze the historic origin， formula composition， herb origin， preparation methods， processing methods， clinical effect， and indications of Qingfeitang. The key information of Qingfeitang was summarized to provide reference for the clinical application of the decoction. In this study， a total of 43 pieces of effective data on relevant ancient literature， including 35 ancient TCM books， were collected based on a systematic collation of relevant historic and modern literature. Results showed that "Qingfeitang" was originated from the "Renshen Qingfeitang" recorded in the Taiping Holy Prescriptions for Universal Relief from the Qing dynasty. The name of "Qinfeitang" was first recorded in the Yeshi Luyanfang written by YE Dalian in the Song dynasty. We suggested the modern dosage and usage of Qingfeitang as follows： "Scutellariae Radix of 5.60 g， Platycodon grandiflora， Poria， Tangerine， Fritillaria， and Cortex Mori of 3.73 g respectively， Angelicae Sinensis Radix， Asparagi Radix， Gardeniae Fructus， Armeniacae Semen Amarum， and Ophiopogonis Radix of 2.61 g respectively， Schisandra of 1 g， and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma of 1.12 g， and they were taken 3 times daily. The above formula is recommended to be decocted with 400 mL of water， with 3.37 g ginger and 6 g jujubae fructus， to 320 mL， and taken after a meal， three times per day". Qingfeitang has the effect of resolving phlegm to stop cough and producing fluid to moisten dryness， specialized in treating cough， asthma， rash， and other symptoms in ancient times. Modern applications are mainly focused on the respiratory system， used for treating diseases such as bronchopneumonia and cough. The above research results provide a reference basis for the later development and research of Qingfeitang.

The Unison(1924) was a yearbook assembled and published by the students of the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), in honor of the first graduation of PUMC. It comprehensively introduced the organizational history, board of trustees and administration, departments and faculty, medical and nursing classes, student organizations and activities in PUMC. It also published school calendar and songs, alumni record, poems, drama scripts written by PUMC students. It is a comprehensive and systematic record of PUMC and Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) in 1924, providing rich and valuable details in regards to academic and spiritual lives of faculty and students. Compiled during the early years of PUMC and PUMCH, the book also contributes to the formation of PUMC and PUMCH culture. It advocates for a spirit of science and humanity that has significantly influenced the cultivation and development of medical humanistic spirit in China.

Objective To explore the genetic polymorphism and mutation rate of 36 Y-STR loci in Sichuan Han population and provide basic data for their forensic applications.Methods Blood samples were collected from 307 unrelated male individuals and 367 father-son pairs in Sichuan Han population using FTA blood sampling cards.The Y41SE-v1.2 kit was used to type 36 Y-STR loci,and the population genetic parameters and mutation rates of each locus were calculated.The genetic relationship between Sichuan Han population and other ethnic populations was analyzed in combination with 19 other populations in China.Results A total of 79 mutations were observed in 36 Y-STR loci in 367 father-son pairs of Sichuan Han population,with an average mutation rate of 6.00×10-3.There were 74(93.67%)one-step mutations and 5(6.33%)multi-step mutations.A total of 383 alleles were found at 36 Y-STR loci in 307 Sichuan Han males.The number of alleles at each locus ranged from 5(0.016 29)to 56(0.182 41),GD ranged from 0.100 02(DYS645)to 0.959 99(DYS385),and 306 haplotypes were found.The HD,DC and HMP values were 0.999 973,99.67%and 0.003 284,respectively.The results of genetic distance(Fst)analysis showed that the Sichuan Han population had the closest genetic distance with the Chongqing Han population(0.000 9)and the furthest genetic distance with the Xinjiang Mongolian group(0.032 0).The MDS based on genetic distance was basically consistent with the results of cluster analysis.Conclusion The 36 Y-STR loci have high genetic polymorphism in the Sichuan Han population.The study data can provide data support for the construction of the Y-STR database in this region,and also provide basic genetic information for forensic investigation and population genetics research.

Objective:To explore therapeutic efficacy and mechanism of puerarin(PUE)in treating of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods:Network pharmacology and molecular docking technique were used to screen and analyze targets of PUE in regulating UC.C57BL/6 mice were given free access to 2.5%DSS aqueous solution for 7 days,and influence of PUE on changes in body weight and disease activity index(DAI)score were subsequently observed.Histopathological alterations of colon tissue were observed by HE staining,changes of goblet cell population in colon tissue were evaluated through Alcian blue staining;expressions of inflammatory factors in colon tissue were detected by qRT-PCR and ELISA.Effect of PUE on MODE-K cell viability and apoptosis were assessed by CCK-8 and flow cytometry.Results:A total of 38 common targets of PUE in modulating UC,such as AKT1,TNF,STAT3,CASP3,HIF1A and etc,mainly involving TNF,IL-17 and PI3K-Akt signaling pathway.In vivo experiments confirmed that PUE ameliorated degree of colon shortening,body weight and DAI scores and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration in mice.Besides,expressions of inflammatory factors in colon,such as TNF-α and IL-1β,were inhibited by PUE.Furthermore,in vitro experiments validated that PUE relieved DSS-induced apoptosis of epithelial cells.Conclusion:PUE alleviates occurrence and development of DSS-induced UC in mice.

Objective:To investigate the immune cell differentiation-induced alveolar-capillary barrier damage in septic ARDS via cell communication.Methods:Construct septic ARDS-related WGCNA network based on transcriptomic data and identify ARDS-related genes (ARGs). Constructed septic ARDS differentiation trajectories, predicted cellular communication, and screened immunodifferentiation-related genes (IDRGs) based on single-cell sequencing data. Lasso regression analysis establish immune-related RS of ARDS. ESTIMATE, CIBERSORT, and ssGSEA assessed the immune microenvironment. Metascape, GSVA and GO enrichment analyses demonstrated RS-related signaling pathways and biological processes.Results:Cell communication between immune cells and fibroblasts/endothelial cells involves 22 signaling pathways. RS containing DSTN, SNRPA, and FGL2 were differentially expressed in healthy, sepsis, and septic ARDS patients, affecting the differentiation of immune cells, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts, and regulating the infiltration of the immune cells and immune functions. The characteristic immune cells in septic ARDS included memory B cells, plasma cells, CD8 +T, and M0; DSTN was negatively correlated with M0 ( r=-0.29, P<0.05), SNRPA was positively correlated with CD8 +T ( r=0.28, P<0.05), and FGL2 was positively correlated with memory B cells ( r=0.32, P<0.05).The immune cells that were differentially expressed between RS groups, including CD4 na?ve T cells, CD4 memory-activated T cells, regulatory T cells, γ-δ T cells, M0, and activated dendritic cells. Enrichment analysis indicated the differential expression of DSTN, SNRPA, and FGL2 affected the differentiation of immune cells, the activation of immune functions, the presentation of antigens, and the depolymerization/cutting of actin filaments. Conclusions:DSTN, SNRPA, and FGL2 affect immune-related alveolar-capillary barrier damage in septic ARDS by regulating the differentiation of immune cells, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells, and are potential biomarkers for predicting the progression of septic ARDS.

Purpose To detect the expression of PP1A and GSDME and the abundance of CD8+T lymphocytes in colorectal cancer,and to explore the correlation and clinical significance of PP1A and GSDME mediated pyroptosis.Methods GEPIA da-tabase was applied to analyze the mRNA expression of PP1A and GSDME in colorectal cancer and normal tissues.Western blot assay was used to detect the expression of PP1A in colorectal cancer and the corresponding normal mucosa.Immunohisto-chemistry was applied to detect the expression of PP1A and GS-DME and CD8+T lymphocytes abundance in 107 colorectal car-cinomas and normal mucosa adjacent to the carcinomas.Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the correlation between PP1A,GSDME and CD8+T cells abundance.Results The GEPIA database search showed that mRNA expression of PP1A and GSDME in colorectal cancer differed compared to normal tissues(P＜0.05).Western blot analysis showed that the relative expression of PP1A in colorectal cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in para-cancerous tissues(0.937 vs 0.643,P＜0.001).Immunohistochemical results showed that the expression of PP1A in colorectal cancer tissues was signifi-cantly higher than that in normal mucosa(P＜0.05).The ex-pression of GSDME in cancer tissue was closely correlated with patients'age,clinical stage and mismatch repair proteins(P＜0.05),and the distribution of CD8+T cells in the cancer infil-tration front was significantly higher than that in the normal mu-cosa,and the distribution of CD8+T cells in the cancer was cor-related with pT stage,clinical stage and lymph node metastasis.Spearman correlation analysis showed that PP1A was negatively correlated with GSDME expression(r=-0.196,P＜0.05).The overall survival PP1A-positive colorectal cancer patients was worse than that of PP1A-negative patients(P＜0.05),and the prognosis of patients was correlated with the degree of differentia-tion,lymph node metastasis,pT stage and clinical stage.Posi-tive expression of PP1A,degree of differentiation,clinical stage,pT stage and lymph node metastasis are independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of colorectal cancer patients.Conclusion PP1A is highly expressed in colorectal cancer and negatively correlated with GSDME-mediated cell pyroptosis,and the differ-ential expression of both is closely related to the progression and prognosis of colorectal cancer,which can be used as a potential indicator for judgment of the prognosis of colorectal cancer pa-tients.The differential distribution of CD8+T cells may be asso-ciated with GSDME-mediated cell pyroptosis and tumor develop-ment.
