Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2015;(6):535-538
Objective To investigate the changes of the pulmonary surfactant protein-D (SP-D) in serum and cerebrospi-nal lfuid in children with viral encephalitis (VE). Methods The levels of SP-D in serum and cerebrospinal lfuid were detected by a double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and compared in thirty children with VE in acute and con-valescent phases and in 12 children without VE. Results The levels of SP-D in serum and cerebrospinal lfuid between groups of VE acute phase and convalescent phase and no VE were statistically signiifcant (F=103.58,118.15, all P<0.01). The levels of SP-D in serum and cerebrospinal lfuid in children with VE in acute phase and in convalescent phase were signiifcantly lower than children without VE (P<0.01). The levels of SP-D in serum and cerebrospinal lfuid in children with VE in convalescent phase were all signiifcantly higher than those in acute phase (P<0.01). In children with VE, the level of SP-D in cerebrospinal lfuid was weakly correlated negatively with the count of nucleated cells. Conclusions SP-D might be involved in the pathogenesis in VE. The detection of SP-D in serum and cerebrospinal lfuid has a certain value for diagnosis of VE.
2.Analysis of associated risk factors of childhood primary hypertension
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2015;22(9):637-639
The prevalence of childhood primary hypertension is increasing each year, not only bring-ing symptoms to these children, but also causing damage to multiple target organs such as heart, kidney, blood vessels, eyes and nerve system. Childhood hypertension is a risk factor of adult hypertension. Paying atten-tion to and preventing childhood hypertension has become a public health challenge. There are many associat-ed risk factors for childhood primary hypertension, including parental hypertension, overweight and obesity, low birth weight, and so forth. From the analysis of these factors, suggestions can be given about how to pre-vent childhood primary hypertension.

4.Roles of the liver regeneration phosphatase-3 and its inhibitors in tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(6):415-417
Phosphatase of regenerating liver-3 (PRL-3) is a novel small molecule protein-tyrosine-phosphatase,which plays an important role in the oncogenesis and deveopment of tumors.Studies show that PRL-3 regulates neoplasm progress through participating in multiple signal pathways. Its high expression can significantly promote neoplasm metastasis in cancer tissue. However, there is no expression of PRL-3 in most normal tissue.PRL-3 is expected to be a potential tumor maker of diagnosis and a new target for the therapy of cancer.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate clinical efficacy and the effect of pharmacoeconomics of two chemotherapeutic regimens for the first line treatment of advanced gastric cancer. METHODS:98 patients with advanced gastric cancer receiving SOX or FLO regimen as first line chemotherapy in our hospital were enrolled. According to chemotherapy grouping,short-term efficacy, toxic re-action and pharmacoeconomics effect were analyzed and compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:There were a total of 55 patients in SOX group, with effective rate of 38.18%;43 patients in FLO group, with effective rate of 32.56%;there was no statistical sig-nificance in effective rate between 2 groups(P>0.05). There was no statistical significance in toxicities between 2 groups,includ-ing nausea and vomiting, neurotoxicity and neutropenia(P>0.05). The total cost of FLO regimen group was 9 136.98 yuan, while that of SOX regimen group was 12 345.97 yuan. Using minimum cost method,FLO regimen was superior to SOX regimen regard-ing the economical index. CONCLUSIONS:SOX and FLO regimen have no significant difference for the first-line treatment of ad-vanced gastric cancer in terms of response rate and toxicities. Taking into account the parmocyeconomics,FOL regimen is superior to SOX regimen.

Objective To determine the effects of different excipients ( amino acids, carbohydrates and nonionic surfactants) on thermal stability of the IgG1 monoclonal antibody, and to examine the interactions between the excipients and the protein. Methods Differential scanning calorimetry ( DSC) was used to study thermal stability of the protein in different solutions and got information on the solubility of the unfolded forms of the protein.Isothermal titration calorimetry ( ITC) was used to examine the binding interactions between the excipients and the protein.ResuIts Negatively charged amino acids could significantly reduce the denaturation temperature (Tm) of IgG1( Tm >9 ℃), and other excipients didn’t have a major effect ( Tm <1℃).Excipients shared different impacts on thermal stability of the IgG1 monoclonal antibody under different pH, and negatively charged amino acids result in a much lower Tm at pH 5 than at pH 7.The ITC binding isotherms of different excipients (including polysorbate 20 and 80) and IgG1 were almost straight lines, while there was strong binding interaction between polysorbate 20 or 80 and Human Serum Albumin (HSA).ConcIusion The results suggest that there is no binding interaction between these studied excipients and the IgG1 monoclonal antibody; instead electrostatic interactions seem to play a leading role between the excipients and the IgG1 monoclonal antibody.
